A charming little hotel located in the center of Inverness. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is welcoming and friendly, and the food is excellent. Thank you to the young man who served us in the evening with professionalism and kindness. I recommend the establishment.

Worst breakfast we ever had. Yesterday’s food on buffet, dried up and overcooked. Manager had the gall to imply we should not complain as the breakfast was “Free “ despite paying £390 for a 2 night stay. I am a restaurant owner and can spot a lazy kitchen from afar.

We stayed at this hotel and had dinner in their restaurant. They offered a £35 two course or a £43 three course meal. The brown crab and smoked haddock risotto was inedible. I knew I was in for trouble went the waiter brought over this yellow, indistinguishable mess. Gelatinous is not an adjective that should be used to describe risotto, but that was the consistency. There was absolutely no taste. I have tasted baby food with more flavor. To make matters worse, there was what appeared to be hard, uncooked spaghetti sprinkled on top. The prawns in the shrimp cocktail were still frozen solid. Coupled with the uncooked spaghetti on the risotto, it made me wonder whether the chef had a relative who was a dentist and was trying to drum up some business for him or her. A few of us ordered steak cooked medium rare. I will let the images attached speak for themselves. The floating island dessert was the only edible part of the meal. It was a meringue with coconut sorbet and tropical fruit. If not for this saving grace, I would have given this restaurant a zero ranking even though Trip Advisor doesn’t allow this.

Visited here on the recommendation of a family member who has visited twice and enjoyed their visit. It’s in a great building which has been restored and modernised as an art venue. I was meeting with a friend so we’d specifically decided we’d visit the cafe at Inverness Creative Academy. We hadn’t decided wether for lunch or a snack, or just a coffee before hand! On entering the place was empty apart from three people sitting at a table. 1st time visiting. From what was on the boards behind the counter and the cakes we could visibly see it wasn’t clear the full menu available. Luckily my companion asked ‘do you not do any sandwiches or anything’ and the people sat on the only table occupied responded ‘yes the menus are on the tables’!! It turned out they were the staff!! It’s disappointing that customer service wasn’t better when we arrived! As after we’d realised what we could order etc, everything was great!! Sandwiches and coffee were great, and being a hot day the guy serving asked if we’d like anything else or some water. I will definitely go back, but for a new customer in, a new location. A bit of a welcome to customers and an explanation of what you do/offer would be helpful.
