Frankie & Benny's in Highland

I’m not one to complain especially at a restaurant, as someone who also works in hospitality. However, this meal was extremely poor. The service was fantastic especially when short staffed managing big tables and birthday parties, this complaint isn’t for the servers but the chefs. I myself had the BBQ chicken (which is breaded btw not stated on the menu) it was OK but very mediocre and bland, the bacon was overcooked and chewy. The chips with the chicken weren’t cooked properly they were cold in the middle and also went cold very fast. My friend had the Mac n Cheese which was tasteless like dishwater with cream to be honest. Very flavourless and disappointing, wouldn't recommend. For a total bill of £72 for 2 people would expect better tbh. Needless to say, the starter pretzels were very nice highly recommend and the hot cookie dough dessert and Malteser shake was also very nice. Again service was fantastic we didn’t mind the wait inbetween finishing starters and mains as again they were busy and short staffed.

Staff were excellent! It was my friends birthday and service from Andy was 10/10 Friendly staff, great food. Really made my friend’s birthday special, thank you so much.

I came in and first got served by a foreign man and he was so kind and nice and there was this young lass with blonde her and she was so kind and i had forgotten something in the building and she ran out after me to hand it to me, i think those 2 are the best in there

Food was great, didn’t know which dessert to have so we had two each. We will be back as the service by the young girl Emma was next to none. She was pleasant, happy and attentive. Being a chef I know not everyone is good at waiting but this girl just had it all. We will be back because of the service.

We experienced a wonderful night. The server was amazing, the other staff where amazing and the food was outstanding. And the cherry on the cake is when the staff sang happy birthday to my partner.

Three of us for lunch today. Gluten free pasta bolognaise poor. Tasteless and not very hot and no Parmesan cheese with it. Apple crumble slightly burnt on top and a tiny jug of custard with it. Baked potato with salad okay! Was nice when we arrived at 1200 but soon after really loud thumping music started. Could hardly hear each other. Asked staff to turn it down, slightly better but definitely not a place to catch up with friends for a chat without shouting at each other. Won’t be back.

Order steak and fries, steak was rather poor quality with gristle , got the impression form waiter he knew it was not up to standard, also forgot the sautéed mushrooms , they then deep fried mushrooms a big no no swimming in grease . in fairness they did give a discount. Can not fault waiter good customer skills which saved the day Maybe kitchen having a off day hopefully a one off

The food and service was excellent..l only left a star out due to the plates not been hot enough and the food gets cold quickly.

Empty cold souless visit. We used to meet families there and it was a good buzz good food good times. This time we waited a long time for drinks and a very very long time for food. All the food came cold and the pasta dishes were so bad we sent them away. No sauce, missing ingredients very clearly there was no chef supervising service. What further smarts is there was no recovery by the manager. There was vague excuse that they were short staffed but the place was literally empty. A disaster for the celebration evening with two people going without food the rest making do. We won't be back.

Me and my girlfriend went in for dinner yesterday and although it was very busy, damian came over to sort us out with a table in no time,and the service was no less than perfect as damian was very friendly and helpful, highly recommend going, the food was also amazing.

Food ok. The new strawberry and chocolate sundae is AWFUL! Honeycomb pieces about the size of grapes which when combined with cold ice cream are a terrible idea. (Think broken teeth). Service great. As an autistic person though I wish there was a warning before the music volume jumps through the roof and plays happy birthday. I don’t mind it but would love some warning.

Had a lovely meal here, the food was perfect and the waitress was absolutely lovely, really nice, when I mentioned it was my birthday she brought out a plate saying happy birthday with some cake and a candle.

Fantastic lunch in Inverness frankies for my sons birthday, all meals was so tasty amazing service thank you Damian and Paulina and team for your amazing singing .

First time at a F & B, great choices on menu, excellent food , all tasted delicious. Very busy but hardly any waiting time and on a Saturdaynight too! All staff were excellent from the moment we entered. Our waiter was fab with all his customers and especially with kids at table beside us. Highly recommend!

I was tonight there, and when we arrived the restaurant was full at roughly 8 pm so they took our order and the food arrived at 9:10. Yes was late but one of the managers apologised for the delay and gave us one drink on the house. A gesture that we appreciate it. No bother me the food took an hour to arrive the restaurant was full before us like 25 tables. They were struggling with staff and they really made a good effort. My food was great and the pasta was nice too. Service was kind and the managers were great.

Nice place boring menu. It's all burgers & fries there's hardly any pasta dishes on the menu and the ones that are are all tomato sauced based. Just another fast food burger restaurant that's not worth it.

We went for dinner while on holiday. Very good choices for children and adults. I have allergies and this was really good experience for that too. Nice and friendly staff. We loved Inverness and want to come back.

Lovely staff. The food came out very quickly and hot. We were served by Emma and she was lovely. Always checking in and very kind and chatty.

When asked to take our order I started giving food order not hearing him ask for drinks first under his breath he said “funny drink that”. Ordered one starter stating it’s a starter and then he asked will I bring it with the main which I politely told him no it’s a starter. Chicken parmigiana was half black on bottom rendering it inedible the pasta was just a watered down sauce with little taste. Macaroni and cheese was standard and nothing special. Burger was good sauce was weird tastin. Got the fries upgraded and was not worth the price very little chicken. Nothing was said when collecting plates about the big black piece of burnt food. Overall was not a enjoyable experience and I can understand why the place was nearly empty I would not recommend this place for food Also please be aware for every bad review there is a 5 star review with no comments I believe this restaurant is posting fake reviews

VERY disorganized. Half empty restaurant. 40 minute wait to get a table. Slow to super slow front of house service. Understaffed. Kitchen was good. But super disorganized. Seemingly too few people working on Thursday evening dinner hours. The staff were trying but nowhere near enough people. There were servers training but the place was just really disorganized. Food quality, OK to below average. Expensive attempt at Italian menu but the food was below average. Over priced, fast food-ish. Not really worth the price. Sorry to say. But the service was just too bad to rate any higher. Again the people working were doing their best but they really didn’t know what to do. No direction. So many people moving in random directions and moving SLOW! My experience working in restaurants affords me enough ability to assess how bad the service was. People were pleasant but they need better management. Could be a very busy, profitable business but there is no way that place is doing as well as it could.

Well this place has gone down hill fast. Usually good food and my kids like it here. Where to start, starters burnt and tasteless, children wanted to try "summer menu corn dogs" horrible dry batter with cheap hotdogs. Mains luke warm over cooked pasta, chips lovely "well done" onion rings thinnest I have ever had and dry. £71 for this horrible overcooked bland food. I will never take my family here again. Maybe concentrate on the people in the restaurant and not people placing orders on just eat etc. Not even a discount once we had complained, never again. Food was just standard for Frankie & Benny’s hence the 3 stars. You know what you are getting nothing fantastic. Unfortunately on this occasion we were let down by our experience and would not return to this branch. Excessive wait time for food over an hour and a half before the main meals arrived before the starters had even been given to us, no explanation as to why this was. We were then told by a waitress we thought you’d had your starters. We explained we hadn’t and how long we’d waited, told a manager would come over to speak to us and they didn’t. Eventually when the manager did come over she blamed the waitress who we witnessed leave shift stating a “miscommunication” which made little sense. All in all a bit of a shambolic experience in our opinion.

Well, Ami knock-off in the 50s/60s style. Food OK. Service very short... Price hmmmmm... everything is more expensive...

Good food with plenty of variety. Service was a bit slow considering place was not full. Access is all on one level.

Spacious. Food fine. Dined with 5 people. Sharing meals.

We arrived and several other groups were waiting to be shown to a seat whilst several staff members walked passed everyone waiting numerous times without a word spoken. The restaurant wasn't full so unsure why it was so delayed. We were eventually shown to our booked table after fifteen minutes. After another fifteen minutes we still hadn't even had our drinks order taken and our 1 year old son was getting restless so we left early. Unfortunately very poor service.

Absolutely amazing from the time we set foot into the place. They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and they even went one step futher and made a massive memorable moment for us we just want to say a very special thank you to damian our server for his excellent service and table manners. We ate there twice and allergens were taken into account a lot, as soon as you sat down you were asked if they had to take anything specific into account. I have celiac disease and have eaten gluten-free twice. One pizza and one pasta, it's not expensive at all, so don't expect the atmosphere of a star restaurant. The staff are also very helpful. Highly recommended!

BAD POINTS Been numerous times and meals were good but this meal was the worst ever. 1rst chicken warm and cold chips, put it back with staff apologies 2nd brilliant chips, chicken okay but onion rings stone cold. Had enough asked for bill. Waitress service good and with follow up on meal resulting with manager telling waitress to tell us meal was replaced. Also the table along from us also had problems. NOT MUCH OF A MANAGER WHEN SENDING WAITRESS BACK WITH MESSAGE. GOOD POINTS Lasagne was brilliant Waitress services good friendly and polite.

We went for a meal on Thursday night and the service was terrible and the food was very poor . We waited ages both for drinks and to get our food . I was shocked because normally when we visit both the service and food have been good but not this time and I may consider never going back it was that bad . Food for one main was burned the other main had raw chicken , still very disappointed and shocked .

Stopped in for lunch. Kid friendly and family friendly. Good selection of Italian American food. Restaurant was very clean & the server was friendly too.

Had no breakfast so went in at 1:30 very hungry. Hugely disappointed. It was busy, the tables were clean and the table service 1st class, but the food was tasteless. Potato skins were a small portion, and certainly did not taste of cheese and onion. The calamari was over cooked. When the mains of pasta, Caesar salad and meatballs arrived, they looked disappointing. The pasta was gray in colour and only had several small pieces of bacon through it, so small in fact that you could not taste what it was. My son said that the meatballs were again tasteless lacking of any seasoning or garlic. My salad came in a bowl of whole big lettuce leaves with an extremely small sprinkling of Parmesan and dressing and slices of dry chicken which had obviously been prepared some time before. We will NEVER be back. Poor food at an exorbitant price !!

Cracking evening great staff, busy and short staffed but service staff always have a smile

Located in a huge Retail Park, this American themed restaurant seemed a little out of place in Inverness, but didn't disappoint. Service was great, meals were of a good size & quality, atmosphere what you'd expect in this type of themed restaurant. Would recommend and return if in Inverness again.

The team were absolutely fantastic. Our waiter was Damian who delivered excellent service. We also had the other staff members take our food and drinks to us with also fantastic service. Fantastic experience with a big thanks to Damian, Annie, Paulina and Tracy

We wanted to dine at SNOW GOOSE but it was full. Not wanting fast food, we headed to Frankie & Benny's...we should have gone to B.K.! Menu corresponding to a chain "restaurant"... fairly decent pizza, mediocre Caesar salad (lots of salad, 3 slices of chicken and 2 croutons...) The drinks order did not correspond to our request, the waitress perhaps did not want to open new bottles.... £25/person without dessert

Had a classic lasagne with garlic bread. Food was hot and tasty. Didn't seem to be as much choice on the menu as there used to, but still good food. I would definitely go again.👍

Good place for me to go with non vegan daughter as we can both eat. Sadly they didn't have any of the vegan Mac n cheese but at least they did have the vegan apple crumble 😋

A quick Friday dinner en route to the Highlands. Service was fast and friendly and the food was decent! No complaints at all!

2 very poor steaks and even a replacement was edible but not great. Served very cool nearly cold not warm as cooked rare. Plates not warmed for food either. Very disappointed for only a second and last visit. Staff overheard taking steak off menu. Front of house tried their best and very apologetic but issues reported in kitchen.

Food on par with a tesco microwave meal. Service incredibly slow. Taking endless online orders at the expense of their customer in the restaurant.

Very nice place! The children's menu is very complete and well thought out! Very delicious food, abundant dishes and good, quality ingredients! The atmosphere is very calm, good music and the waiters are super attentive! Highly recommended!

Same good food as in other F&Bs', but an absolutely fantastic staff every single time.

Went here whilst working in Inverness as a change to the hotel food and had a great night food was lovely staff were amazing
