We have had some lovely meals in Inverness with very friendly attentive service. Sadly this was not one of them. The music was too loud. I was served a pasta dish with hugh chunks broccoli and rather a lot of peas floating in a mediocre tomato sauce. The male waitress was polite enough and helpful but the female one was abrasive. A very disappointing experience in Inverness after so many lovely ones.

A delightful restaurant! Lovely atmosphere, food delicious. Staff are helpful and make suggestions. Nothing is too much trouble. Had 2 pasta dishes and desserts. A wonderful gem in Inverness. It gets busy...we were lucky to be seated right away at 7pm, as it was full 5 minutes later!

Evening meal with family. Great menu and specials board. Superb food and service. Highly recommended.

You say you close at 10 pm, we come at 9 pm for a quick dinner and you tell us that the kitchen is closed while the restaurant looks busy but still with some empty tables. Bravo!!! ;-)

You would believe that walking out the door you would be in Rome. A fabulous restaurant. A big thanks to the manager who drove us to our hotel when we four oldies couldn't get a taxi. A big thanks 👍

Move me from original table after seating, to a table that wasn’t clean.. I ordered orecchiette & meatballs but was given conchiglioni with three small meatballs with a which felt like supermarket sauce & pasta which I could make at home. Not worth £16+ for £3 I could make at home. Wine was also £29 but tasted like a bottle from Asda £7.99 special.

We went today at 8.45 PM (before checking they supposedly close at 10 PM) and we were told upon entering "the kitchen is closed. So sorry". I don't know how much earlier one has to go to eat there...

Was a spontaneous dinner on this small cozy street a little beyond the "city bustle". Unpretentious little restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. The food was good without being brilliant. Fun with spontaneous Italian singing from a guest who sang a short piece in the restaurant and outdoor seating

order was placed at 7pm and not delivered until 21:35 called restaurant and food was ready and waiting for pick up by driver but delivery time kept changing. was advised by restaurant to make complaint as they had food ready so they could not cancel order their end. over 2hrs for delivery is unacceptable

Meatball starter - Incredible flavours highly recommended. Calzone and Hudson pizza (as photo) cooked to perfection, great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Went here last night and I wish I was there again tonight. The meatballs were to die for as a starter and my spicy pasta main was delicious! Huge portions tiny restaurant, very friendly staff. Can't wait to go back. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening

This is the first negative review I've ever written but the situation was exceptional and I wouldn't want it to happen to anyone else. We were deciding where to grab lunch in town and thought we'd go to one of the places on Stephens Brae. Coming down the brae from Crown to town, the sign outside Little Italy had written on it that they have a lunchtime deal, £12 for any pizza or pasta, which seems a good deal so we went in. On receiving our bill, the pizzas were considerably more expensive. When this was the queried with the waitress she snarled that the sign is 'twisted' and that's not the deal on offer. The other side of the sign has opening times. Neither side of the sign contains any artwork, it's just chalk on board and could easily be wiped. I commented that it should be removed as it's misleading and the waitress just walked away. The sign was left out. It could be a mistake but with no explanation from the waitress it could be a ploy to get people in, initially. Totally backfired as I've been a few times and definitely won't be back. If it wasn't for this, the other small things wouldn't seem so bad. The waitstaff were completely inattentive and inconsistent with the customers. Not least while they stayed behind the bar watching Ipswich v Liverpool on their phones. Fair enough if you're an Ipswich fan watching their first PL game in over 20 years but something tells me these guys were just bored and not bothered by how it looked. There are loads of good places in Inverness and it's important people go out and support independent restaurants. It's a shame when rude staff let a place down.

Several italians were injured during the dinner... Joke aside, it is a disgrace to call yourself an italian restaurant when you put heavy cream in Carbonara. Starters were ok but the mains are just not acceptable, same for the wine and cocktails. The price/quality ratio is terrible in the end.

Absolutely amazing takeaway. The garlic bread with cheese was amazing but the star was the Tofe pasta. So delicious & moreish. Definitely recommend.

I asked a local cab driver for a recommendation, and this was it. Absolutely fantastic dining experience. Cosy atmosphere, lovely service, and the food was straight up Italian comfort.

We made a reservation for two. Seems that they give away reserved tables. The only one left was right next to the door. One swat was the windows sill and the other faced a continually opening door. It's 50 degrees outside. If you can't take care of reservations better than this you should find another career.

Authentic Italian food, small cosy restaurant with great service. House wine is a winner too.

Best ravioli I have ever eaten. We were visiting from the US and just stumbled on this place. We ate outside on the picnic tables. Very cool view of the street. Service was fantastic. Highly recommend.

This is an oysteria in the real sense of the word. Very small Italian restaurant with fresh food made with pride. We travel Italy quite a bit and are very glad that the Highlands has such good Italian food. Not as spicy as in Italy but tuned for the Highland palate. I feel certain the kind chef from Salento will gear it up if asked. A very nice brief wine list. We enjoyed everything about this little jewel and look forward to eating there again.

Second night in Inverness, here for a pizza, they were fantastic pizzas, also the tiramisu was also one of the best we've had in years! We shared one, as they serve large portions. Let down a little by some staff being inattentive..no sharp knives to cut pizzas either.. Shame really as this place is otherwise superb

Nice little Italian in the centre of Inverness. I visited the night before the annual Etape and it was rammed - fortunately had booked months in advance. The servers were all incredibly friendly and offered suggestions around the meals. Food was all good, particularly the calamari starter I had which was on the specials. There’s not a huge amount of tables so definitely recommend booking a table in advance.

We had an lovely evening meal a Thursday evening. Family run and not part of a chain, food is really nice and tasty with good service in a small age charming space. A carafe of wine and we had a very pleasant evening. We would thoroughly recommend Little Italy.

We went here for an early dinner and wow, the food was delicious and authentically Italian! We can highly recommend the calamari, the ear shaped pasta with meatballs and chilli, and the tiramisu (homemade by them). The service was very friendly and quick and the backing music and setting made us feel like we were abroad. A lovely meal.

Still yet to try a better garlic bread than little Italy 👌

We had a reservation for 8pm tonight. Arrived 15 mins early expecting to be able to get a pre drink. On arrival a couple were just in front of us, they didn’t have a reservation. They asked waiter if they could fit them in, yes of course come in they were told. They were welcomed in. We who had a reservation were then turned away! Such poor customer service. Wouldn’t recommend, especially on a freezing night in Inverness when only 15 mins early, not enough time to go find somewhere for a drink before our actual reservation time 15 mins later! We weren’t even offered to wait inside until our table was ready. Couple without reservation were invited straight in! Fuming & cancelled. Gutted as only here for tonight. V poor.

I went with my friend to little Italy for the first time the food was just amazing! Te texture representation I had a carbonara which was finger licking, it had a little kick to it that I absolutely loved. The staff was amazing I recommend it 100% I worked at Bella italia that served frozen foods which was blunt but visiting little Italy I felt like I was in Italy getting served fresh high standard food

Came across this place after shopping in Inverness and decided to try. It was a great choice. The stone baked pizza was just lovely - crispy, perfectly cooked base, rich, deeply flavoured tomato sauce, white anchovies, lovely deli olives and capers strewn generously and the gentlest, silkiest mozzarella. It’s a small but cozy restaurant. We visited Little Italy on the 23rd of Dec. We just arrived from Isle of Skye of an 11 hour trip and we were starving. We walked straight to Little Italy. Our tour guide recommended us. Pizza and Pasta that we ordered were delicious! Service was good (lady waitress, she was nice) but the as a whole, the atmosphere, I’m not sure about this, it’s not welcoming and friendly.

Eaten here many times over the years. The food is always delicious, the atmosphere is excellent and service friendly and efficient.

From desert to starter everything was delicious. Like the admosphere of the small restaurant. This is worth a visit.

Wenn sie wirklich italienisch essen, sehen und fühlen wollen, sind sie hier definitiv richtig aufgehoben. Auf dem ersten Blich kommen einem die Preise bisschen hoch, bis die Speisen auf dem Tisch sind und sie anfangen zu essen….🤤, danach sagen sie, dass es sich definitiv gelohnt hat. Die Mitarbeiter gehen jeden Wunsch ein. (Versuchen das unmögliche möglich zu machen).

Food was delish. We had the fungi as a starter and then shared a veg fusilli dish and pizza with olives. Absolutely amazing. The olives, pizza dough and pasta sauce were all 10/10. Also loved the cosy atmosphere inside and lovely wine.

Staff very friendly. Food are amazing and delicious. Everthing we order are amazing and kids enjoyed their pizza.

One of us had the Tofe pasta (a chicken and veggie dish) and the other had Casarecce pasta (a sausage dish). Both meals tasted okay, but both melas were scant on the meat. In other words, way too much pasta and not enough protein. The atmosphere is great and our servers were very pleasant. The tiramisu was also very good. I wish I could rate the food a five star but cheating on the meat is not acceptable.

A beautiful, intimate restaurant where the food is just outstanding. The service was excellent too, I can’t wait to return again.

When I traveled here, I walked into a restaurant with candles on the table. The atmosphere was really suitable for chatting with friends. Ordered steak and a pasta dish. It was delicious and had a great night.

I had the Hudson pizza which was very nice. Service friendly n quick. The only negative is its a tight squeeze cramming so many seats in such a small area, walking past the kitchen up a very steep stairs to the loo and you hear all the stress of what's going on as the food is prepared.

Found this little treasure online as we were delayed coming through Inverness airport so thought we'd venture into the city. Proprietor kindly squeezed us in for a booking that we made in the bus from the airport and so glad he did... lots of customers turned away as the place was full; and we could see why. Very friendly staff, amazing food, outstanding service and extremely keenly priced. On our list of places 'we will definitely go back to'

Overpriced compared to other restaurants with better food. We had cramped seating. I was in the way of the staircase to the upstairs kitchen which was unfortunately adjoining the mens toikets!!! I had chicken which was okay but a little dry despite the lovely sauce. House white was the highlight. Italian staff were brusque but the Scottish waitress was lovely (but we didn’t get her!) the revolver above my head was a wired decorating touch! Be aware the car park opposite closes at 7pm.
