Google said it was open and sign on the wall says open 7 days a week. Definitely not open on Wednesdays or Thursdays at the moment and no phone line to call and check. Such a shameas we'd driven into Aviemore especially 🙁

Took the kids for pizza on our first night in Aviemore and I'm delighted we picked here. Had the Scotch, shroom, Mediterranean medley and a small peperoni. All of them were delicious, with the mushroom one being a stand out. Highly recommend going if you're in town.

Best pizza in the UK so far and only second to the best pizza in Naples

Decided to head into Aviemore for pizza only to realise that it was the Thunder in the Glens, Harley Davidson weekend. We parked by the restaurant and after some initial confusion as to, how to get in, we made our way up the stairs. To our surprise they had an empty table of four. Despite being very busy we had excellent, quick service and fantastic pizza.

They deserve five stars! Service was attentive once walked in, we had a drink while waiting for a table which was ready quickly same as the drink was served within a minute. Ordered pizzas and arrived at the table within few minutes from ordering. Really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. Friendly and quick service. On small note , pizza choices a bit short. Would be good to add some Neapolitan pizzas. Thanks again

Would not bother going! Walked in and was offered a table inside then we were told we needed to go outside as had a dog (it was so cold) so we ordered a takeaway and went elsewhere while it was being prepared. When I went back to collect with the dog, I was abruptly told to wait on the balcony (in the cold!). Customer service was shocking, wish I hadn’t wasted money on people who don’t treat you with respect! Pizza was average too!

Great food, even better service. I followed recommendation of one of the servers and got myself a carnivore pizza. I was not disappointed. 100% recommend. :)

We arrived (myself, my wife and our young granddaughter), early evening and without having booked, to a very busy place but the super-friendly front of house guy quickly found us a table and menus. Service throughout from the mostly very young staff was friendly and efficient. A few of the more negative reviews for this place mention an air of ‘chaos’. Bustling? Yes. Noisy? Certainly. Chaotic? No. What I witnessed was a pretty much constant stream of family groups turning up at the door not having booked (just as we had done!) to an already very busy restaurant and the staff going to great lengths (eg moving tables around) to squeeze them all in and almost always managing to. All this done in a patient and friendly manner. Having worked for many years myself in customer service, I found this deeply impressive. I rarely post reviews but my wife and I were so pleased that we agreed on leaving should share our positive experience online. Our pizzas were great. Big thumbs up from us!

What an absolute waste of time and money.. We've been there few days ago for the first and definitely last time. The cheapest and lowest quality ingredients, completely tasteless pizza with underbaked base.. We had domino's in Inverness a night before and it was 100 times better to be honest.

Wonderful, fresh pizza at very reasonably prices. We shared the Pepperoni and Cheese and Tomatin pizzas and both were delicious. Staff were attentive and there is a lovely outside seating area. Overall would give this place a solid 8.5/10, highly recommended and we will be back

Such a shame they have stopped doing Vegan cheese 😔 other than that it's fine.

I went to this establishment 4 times and each time i have been DENIED service as they’re (only) chef was on his break, we were told we could wait for an THREE hours and he would be back but we decided to take our business elsewhere, disgraceful and will NOT be back

Place a bit chaotic, pizza- tasteless undercooked edges. Absolut waste of money. My husband and I regret that we haven’t had a fish and chips 😂

Delicious pizzas and friendly service. We didn't have a reservation but luckily we didn't have to wait too long for a free table for two people. Overall, it was already very full, so there can be waiting times, especially with several people.

Brilliant as always. We go every time we are in aviemore. My only complaint this time is that the garlic bread is a lot smaller and didn’t taste as good as it used to. Still enjoyed it though. Definitely recommended

I called at 2:45, they arranged a table for us and after 10 minutes they told us that the chef was going to take a 30-minute break in the middle of the service… meaning we left without eating… terrible.

Updating my review from good to bad. They are not cooking the food properly - pizza and garlic bread were raw and greasy. Yuk. What a waste of £17. We came on holiday last year and it was really good but won't be back.

Managed to navigate usual mixed reviews and have a few good meals out when in Aviemore, but this was the most disappointing. Opted for takeaway as first come first served not a great option with young family. Place is poorly signposted, leaves people confused as to what the protocol is and standing in the stairwell and just felt really chaotic inside when collecting the pizzas. Lots of staff but looked poorly organised. The young guys making the pizzas just in casual clothes? Maybe the pizzas would be the saving grace? They were fine but overpriced at around £15 each. Wouldn’t go back

Fantastic pizzas made in a wood fired oven, this place is hugely popular though so order ahead for takeout or get there early if you'd like to dine in!

I was a bit surprised to find this place as it's part of an outward bound shop. Enter the shop and go upstairs and you're there. Friendly and helpful staff, and good quality food at a reasonable price. Couldn't ask for anything more.

We visit Aviemore every year and this is always a go to . We arrived later than normal this year and had already decided to get takeaway pizza from here . We ordered online and collected . Firstly , my husband was passed the box with steam vents towards him . The cheese had managed to seep out and stained his good jumper ! The pizza itself was very doughy and not particularly enjoyable . For the price we were quite disappointed but maybe it was just an off night?

Not bad but we ate on the balcony in what felt like a force 10 hurricane. The food chilled immediately, unfortunately we couldn't get a seat inside because we had our dog. Still, a lovely pizza 🍕

Ordered pizza to take away. Spent over £100. Collected at arranged time. When we got back home, everything was stone cold. Don't think they can cope with large order. Give a miss.

Sorry but no - you can't make reservations at Cheeseandtomantin, which gives the team a certain amount of leeway to fill the tables as often as possible during the evening service. The restaurant manager has a rough job managing tables. She puts visitors on a waiting list, gives an approximate waiting time and calls customers when their table becomes available. For us it took 30 minutes, which we found quite acceptable. It took a bit of a long time in the restaurant until we were served. We chose starters, olives and Italian chips seasoned with herbs and chili, for the main course we chose the Mediterranean vegetarian pizza, my wife wanted a Diavola but the salami - the main ingredient of the pizza - had already run out at 6:30 p.m. Plus a glass of red wine. After we were served a large bowl of canned olives and chips from the freezer with a dried spice on top, half a minute later the two pizzas arrived - so much for the concept of starter and main course - and when I asked, I was also given a glass of Malbec. We emphasized at least three times that we wanted the pizzas to be baked very well. For one it worked somewhat, for the other it didn't, which shouldn't come as a surprise considering the number of pizzas that go out in the restaurant and pick-up orders are also issued. Overall, it was a very disappointing dinner in all respects.

Great stop on our way to Inverness, the Napoli sauce must have something in it because it was incredible! Local drinks were good as well!

Placed and order online for collection. Got a text and email confirming the order. I went to collect the order later that day and the place was closed!!

If zero was an option I’d have chosen that. They took my online order and my money and didn’t provide anything paid for. The place was closed when advertised as open. Having spoken to the company that have them as tenants this is normal practice which is shocking. We were one of 3 families that turned up to collect our non existent order on Tuesday night and were let down. I tried to call multiple times and they also don’t answer the phone!

Popped in for pizza and to try a few beers. Great service and the pizza was pretty good as well as Dave's not so bitter. not bad

Best pizza in Aviemore, once the mountain cafe which I miss the breakfasts now is an awesome pizza restaurant..... The kids loved It I was starving so I would probably have eaten my shoe we will be back.

Good wood-fired pizza. Cold beer. What more do you need? Well, how about cutting the pizza 😆 They don't do it. Instead, they give you a pizza cutter to do it yourself. Well, that is if they remember to give it to you. We were hacking away with a butter knife before we noticed other tables had proper cutters 🤣🤣🤣 Problem then corrected with apologies 😁

We were here on a busy evening. Everything was quite disorganised. We got our main course before the starter and I got the wrong beer. The pizza base was too soft, the topping was tasty. The double espresso was sour. Based on the reviews, we expected more from this.

4 of us had lunch. Service was great 3 had sandwiches which they enjoyed. I had a bacon and brie toasties but the bacon was a bit too oily and so not the best as oil oozed and dripped out when eaten.

You go through a sports shop via a staircase to the restaurant. We were greeted very friendly and were able to choose a table. As far as the pizza is concerned, and we can only judge that, we often didn't get a better one in Italy and were absolutely satisfied. Espresso went like this, there is room for improvement, but the service, food and drinks were great.

First of all the google hours must be incorrect as we tried to come for lunch and the handwritten sign said open at 5. My pizza was very tasty, generous toppings but the base a bit thin for me as the slice just falls apart when you pick it up. My husband had the special and did not greatly enjoy- said the chicken tasted cheap, not enough cheese and the base far too thin. We were very disappointed however as we came here based on reviews that dogs were allowed on the balcony. We arrived with jackets on fully prepared to sit outside (dry day and mild temperature) and were met with a rude response that the balcony was closed, no explanation or apology. We ordered takeaway and ate at a picnic bench outside our hotel but would have loved the opportunity to dine there.

We loved the food. We did however observe a member of staff twice go, eh, eh, eh to customers as they had either not done something or payment hadn't gone through. I'm sure the individual didn't mean it to sound so cheeky but to us sat at a nearby table we both expressed that if he had chastised us in this manner we would not have been happy. I'm sure its a small thing just be aware. The food however was banging.

The pizzas are delicious and the price really wasn't bad considering what you get. The gluten free crust was very good.

Tried to get a table for seven at 8pm. Restaurant had customers but was in no way busy. Waited to be seated by wait staff who said he could seat us at one of the many empty tables. Went and checked with chefs, came back and explained they wouldn’t serve us. No explanation given. Very upsetting and not a good impression.

First time I've ordered a beer and pizza and had the pizza reach the table first. Pizza was good. Beer served in cute little mini mugs.

We enjoyed our authentic wood fired Neapolitan style pizza here. The food was delicious and the service once we were seated good. Food came out quick and fresh and hot. One drawback was having to leave our phone number while waiting for a table and being called only after we had left and travelled a distance of about 20 minutes. Tables seemed to be available. There was no place to stand at the restaurant and wait. Later when we were seated I noticed there were other patrons who were seated immediately upon arrival, maybe bc it was less busy later. Nonetheless, great pizza.

The food was absolutely amazing, but one of the servers was staring at us during parts of dinner. Overall the service was very good though, the same staff member that was staring at us was very good, along with the rest of the staff. The atmosphere was great, with a really cosy feel and an authentic Italian pizza oven. I would really recommend this place for anyone who happens to be in Aviemore, whether they are a resident or a tourist. We went there for 5PM for dinner, as that's when they open on a Friday. It was also very affordable!

Quite simply the best Pizzas. We come to Carrbridge every year and can't no get a takeaway from here. Beautiful soft bases with crispy edges, good portions of the toppings. The dirty fries also 🤌🤌. Staff are wonderful and friendly also.

Great pizza, relaxed atmosphere

My wife and I attempted to come for pizza twice - once in the early afternoon, and the second at around 6pm (there’s a sign inside the ground floor store saying it opens at 5pm). Neither time was it open. Turns out that even though their website says they’re closed only on Wednesdays, they’re actually closed on Tuesdays (we learned this only by finding snarky comments from the owners on another person’s review). It’s not hard to update a website, so update your opening days/times! And before the owner makes a sarcastic reply… yes, yes we do need a hug!

Yummy sourdough wood fired pizza, including black pudding option ( which was my favourite). Quick, friendly service, they also offer small salad and cakes. Shame they don't do other variety of food as I would be there every night!

Very good Napoletean - style pizza. Good quality ingredients and fair pricing for Aviemore. I would recommend to book in advance. The place was heaving with a queue half way down the stairs, we didn't book so had to wait for a table. But it was worth it. Service was efficient, pleasant and we had a good time. 👌

I’d love to be able to actually rate any of this but the shop it’s above is dog friendly so we automatically assumed the cafe bar was. Wrong. But a sign at the bottom of the stairs would have been nice. And it was cash only anyway. Again would sign have been difficult to sort. Not great for somewhere that’s full of people with dogs

If you are eating out in Aviemore, it's hard to beat the value for money from a £11 cheese pizza at Cheese and Tomatin. Genuinely the cheapest dinner item I could find. Good pizza (I'd like it a little crispier, but don't ask don't get), nice bases. Manager spotted I'd been waiting a while and was quick to find and relay the reason (hole in the base). I'd visit again!

Delish Gluten Free Pizza (Spicy Chicken Sriracha) and a Gluten Free Bowny....yum! The gluten free brownie was so tasty my new wife who chose hot chocolate for her dessert ordered a takeaway brownie to go, having taster mine. The service and food were great. The only possible criticism to make would be that beyond pizza for mains the menu was a bit limited.

Excellent pizza place in the heart of Aviemore. Upstairs above the Blacks outdoor shop. Inside was warm and welcoming, and the service throughout was friendly and prompt. The pizzas and garlic bread were all excellent, up there with some of the best pizza we’ve had. The bases were soft and thin, crusts nice and crisp, and the toppings all well cooked and generous. When we’re back in town, we’ll definitely visit again.

Don't take bookings, but will accommodate as soon as possible via text if full. Ordered 2 pizzas which were devoured, very hungry. Several took away boxes of uneaten meal. Next time will share pizza and salad.

People love Pizza, this is a good place to love Pizza. Chilled vibe. Good food. I had gluten Free. A little burned and simple premade base. But good precautions to avoid cross contamination. No ill effects👍

The best pizza bases we have had, shared a fabulous half and half pizza and difficult to choose a favourite topping between Sweet and Spicy (Chorizo, red onion, chili flakes and honey glaze) and Pesto Chicken (slow cooked Chicken with pesto, fresh rocket and parmesan). Very chilled vibe and fab staff, thoroughly recommend, particularly if you need any outdoor gear from the shop below!

The best place to get pizza in Aviemore, if not in the whole Scotland! You can really taste the fresh ingredients. The pesto, chicken, and parmesan pizza was different class! 👌 Tiramisu was also delicious! All this was enjoyed in the nice atmosphere with very friendly staff!

It's a popular place and crowded as you'd expect from a place with a reputation of great wood fired pizza. Tasty. Be patient after you've ordered. It's all made fresh so there's a bit of a wait. Results were worth it.

Visited this pizza restaurant with high expectations. To be fair it was a Saturday night and they were very busy . It took 40 mins for the pizza to arrive and with a hungry 4 year old that wasn’t great. However the real disappointment came when the pizza was presented . We ordered the Mediterranean medley at £14.95 . And a kids margarita pizza . The main pizza had very few ingredients other than 4 olives 2 sun dried tomato slices and heap of cold mozzarella chunks . The base was very soggy you couldn’t lift it as a slice as it was like mush when cut with the pizza wheel . No cutlery was offered and it is advertised as “ rustic” . We should have complained as wood fired pizza shouldn’t be soggy it was clearly undercooked ! Adult pizza kids pizza 2 wines 2 soft drinks and olive bowl was still £50 . It was late we were hungry ate what we could and left . Kids pizza was ok . Staff were friendly but think they were over whelmed and suspect the kitchen operating beyond capacity . I wouldn’t recommend this experience and find it interesting it’s won awards . Perhaps we were super unlucky

I popped in this evening with my son. We were able to park right outside, and when we went upstairs, we were met straight away and offered a choice of tables. we ordered some starters, and a huge bowl of olives and some garlic bread arrived, both bigger and tastier than I expected, followed by our pizzas, which again were delicious. That was more than enough for the two of us so we didn't get to try the enticing desserts that were on display. The team working there were very friendly and helpful. Our food came quicly - but not too quicly - and the overall ambience was very nice.
