Great wee spot for a quick bite. Decent pizza. Reasonably priced steak. Couple of beers. Hard to find fault. Typical Italian restaurant.

Tasty meal, cosy restaurant. My friend and I don't know Wick, it was dark, pouring with rain, we were looking for a take away place. We saw DrVitas and thought we'd give it a try. We were not dissapointed. We had pizza and meatballs with pasta. Portions were generous. 2 happy customers. Service was friendly and professional.

This is a small restaurant with tables separated by sections making it little difficult to get in and out. The staff spoke between themselves quite loudly and it was obvious when there was a bit of a dispute. The atmosphere would be much improved if you couldn’t overhear all of their discussions when dining. The food however was great!

Pizza was very, very good. A must if you are in the area. I highly recommend it. Service is staffed by young, motivated and very attentive staff. The boss greets every guest personally, where else can you find this? Gladly again.

I go here every year whilst I’m up in Caithness and this place never fails to please. Friendly service, great value and even better food! Staff of all ages are positive and professional at all times. Starters and mains were freshly prepared and can only be described as utterly delicious. Well done to the whole team! 🍕 😃

After reading the reviews I decided to try Devitas. So I glad I did. After being in a tent for 2 weeks with average food I was looking forward to a nice meal. The staff were attentive, friendly and anything I asked for. The food wasn’t rushed out to me and a nice amount of time between my starter, Jalapeño Toppers (yummy) and my main, Mexican Pizza, which was just the right size and also full of flavour and fresh vegetables. I had the Pinot Gris which wasn’t bad and pretty cheap. Altogether a lovely evening, thank you!

Excellent Italian resturant. As others have said it is a bit run down on the outside. However the food is excellent with very friendly owners. The Italian wine was great. Would definitely recommend

As we had read on here before going, don’t judge a book by its cover. This is a hidden gem as the building/decor would not draw us in typically. The food was amazing and so reasonably priced. Staff are all lovely and friendly. Would definitely recommend for tasty food.

Its been a while since ive visited Devitas but just as gkod as it used to be and i wont be so lomg befkre going back next time.

OK, let's deal with the decor etc first. There's no way around it when you look at the exterior this place looks really run down and you'd probably decide to give it a miss. Inside others have described the decor as tired but I prefer to think of it as a 1970s homage to Italy. However you're not there for the decor and the food is good. I had penne pasta with chicken and spinach in a creamy garlic sauce and it was very nice. Plenty of chicken and we'll flavoured with garlic. There's a choice of pasta, pizza or more traditional Italian dishes. Dessert was a very tasty lemon cheesecake with 3 scoops of ice cream and was good and enough for two. George, our waiter was pleasant and efficient. Bottom line is ignore the exterior, embrace the decor and enjoy good quality food! You'll probably have to book.

Tonight we had a very good meal in this nice Italian restaurant, which is decorated in fifties style. Brilliant taste, an absolute highlight in Wick. Tip: make a reservation, because a good restaurant like this is allways fully booked!

It was on the tips of our AirBNB house that we rented and we went to try them Takeout. They were very good. Vegetarian pizza and 12” size chicken pizza which is very good. €21. The waitress who served us, although we did not speak English, was very friendly and took great pains to understand us. I recommend trying it.

Excellent food. The four of us each had different items and everyone enjoyed their meal, especially the pasta carbonara and the pizza. The staff were very friendly and helpful and whilst the decor is a little dark and tired it was still a good place to eat and stood out from other food venues in Wick. Good value for money too.

It is a somewhat dated restaurant (also in terms of food/menu), but the staff is very friendly and the price-quality ratio is excellent

Always friendly staff and tasty pizza

The food was really tasty (I had a pasta dish, my partner had pizza), but was unfortunately the restaurant was let down by it’s tired decor and surroundings.

My wife and I ate there last night. We had a really warm welcome, everyone was very attentive. The best Italian meal we have had in years.. Thank you so very much...... Well worthy of 5 out of 5

We had a great evening meal here while doing the north coast 500. Booking essential as lots of people being turned away. Staff friendly, Covid measures in place. Steak and pizza both lovely, would recommend if in the area.

Visited for lunch after stumbling upon it, ordered a minestrone soup and a pizza. Both were delicious. Staff were really friendly, welcoming and attentive. Prices were fairly reasonable. Would highly recommend this place.

We went to Devitas for an early dinner - we had booked for 6pm but finished wandering around Wick early so dropped in at the restaurant at 5:30. We were seated immediately with no issues at all. The staff were super friendly and attentive from the moment we walked in til the moment we walked out. My partner ordered the penne chorizo chicken and I had the penne belly pork and both were absolutely gorgeous. We also received some complimentary herb bread. We highly recommend this restaurant!

In today with kids for a treat but food very disappointing. Have been before and food was OK but tasted as if it was reheated today. 👎😞

Owner run, very Covid careful, once seated everything was delightful. Food, wine, service super. Thoroughly recommend if you are on a NC500 stopover but need to book ahead.

......and better than many in Italy. We loved this place. The owners wife was most friendly and chatty, whilst remaining professional on her subject., other staff friendly and efficient. It is a small restaurant, and also does takeaways. Evidently the town of Wick loves them too, because there was a never ending stream of takeout orders. I had a quite unusual minestrone, a wonderful dark tomato broth, no beans but olives and mushrooms. Lovely He had meatballs in a tomatoey sauce. I tasted the sauce. Dreamy. He reckoned that the meatballs were THE BEST. I then had chicken breast in a gorgeous creamy sauce. Lovely moist chicken, Sauce to die for. He had pork loin in a tomatoey sauce. Again, unbelievably good. We shared a lovely chocolate brownie and cream, and followed with a cafe latte each With a bottle of Prosecco (very good) the bill came to £72. Well worth it

We stopped off here for dinner during the first leg of our NC500 trip. It was a really nice place, the food was lovely and very reasonably priced, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a bite to eat along the route.

Our first time eating here was not a disappointment. The staff were courteous and attentive and the food was nothing short of excellent. We enjoyed very tasty starters and I then had the pork for my main while my wife had sirloin steak and the sauces accompanying both these dishes tasted amazing. Congratulations to all involved, you have a great wee restaurant. We'll definitely be back.

A regular place that we visit and the first time during COVID. Restaurant is well laid out with dividers now in place between tables. We went here on a Friday night, few in but not that busy. My girlfriend had the lasagne and I had the pork medallions in pepper sauce. Meal was excellent as always and finished of nicely with a few bottles of Italian beer 👍🏻👌

I regularly get a takeaway pizza from here, approximately once a week and they are delicious. The upstairs restaurant has a great ambience for dates too.

Though I love Wick dearly, there are limited dining choices in town, especially on the weekends when the best restaurants get booked quickly. We were happy to get a reservation at Devitas on a Sunday, and were happy with the service, food, and atmosphere. The decor was great, and the owner greeted us and asked if everything was good and made us feel very welcome. The pizza was outstanding, and their meatballs were delicious! Highly recommended.

De Vita's was a surprising find. We just wanted something to eat. The Chinese place and two Indian places looked a bit sketchy. The Norseman Hotel restaurant looked, well, terribly British (with all that implies about great haunches of meat and overcooked vegetables). We just happened to find De Vita's.The place is small, only a dozen tables or so, and is overseen by a grandmother of five who manages the tables with efficiency and pizazz. We got there about 5:30 PM, which was good, because the place filled up almost immediately. (Before we were done, our grandmother cum waitress had turned away two other parties.)We had lasagne, which was great, garlic bread (fairly ordinary), and a bruschetta that was to die for. The bruschetta had black olives and a fabulous balsamic vinegar in addition to the requisite mozzarella and tomato. I'd love to have that again!This was a great little place. I highly recommend it.

Popped in for a light lunch- our first visit. The cheese and bacon panini was delicious and very well priced. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We will return.

We had an awesome lunch here recently. I ordered pepperoni pizza and hubby had the carbonara and garlic bread. I would have to say that it was probably the best pizza I’ve ever had and hubby loved the carbonara sauce. The cafe is a little cramped, but service is friendly. I had a glass of white wine, which wasn’t very nice, but the food more than made up for it. Can thoroughly recommend. Also, the pizzas as quite large, so if you’re not a big eater, would recommend sharing.

I waited 15 minutes to order, then was told it would be at least 20 minutes to get my food, so I left. They were very busy, though. I had heard their food is excellent.

Everyone working at Devitas were so friendly when we ate there. The food was delicious and we were so glad we stopped. The pizzas were delicious and the perfect size. If we travel through Wick again, we'll be back to eat here!

Personally, I thought the pepperoni pizza had way too much cheese. But I ordered a side salad and gave most of the pizza to my husband...and I should have ordered 2 side salads. Perfect combo of oil and vinegar with loads of bell peppers, olives, tomatoes, red onion, and a few greens. It was amazing.

We often pop in here for lunch, the choice is fantastic and we are big fans of the pizzas. They are very filling with lots of fresh ingredients. We are always made very welcome and the staff are great. Lovely clean place and love the decor. Great to grab a window seat and watch the world go by. Highly recommend.

We had a great time at De Vita's. Our Pizzas were very tasty, crispy and made out of quality ingredients. 4 stars for the food, 1 extra star for the service: Warm welcome by the owner, she rearranged tables to fit our pram and held our baby son so we could eat at the same time.

Excellent food, very good staff, well priced

We just spent 3 weeks in Scotland traveling the entire country. We spent 4 nights in Wick and went to Devitas for pizza. It was so good we returned a second night for spaghetti and meat balls. Second night was also so good we returned a third night for Lasagna. Service was exceptional and friendly. We would recommend everyone go there but watch your tartan hat she will pinch it.

Having checked the reviews I was expecting a nice meal as TripAdvisor said they had Gluten Free options, I wouldn't bother we left without ordering. Only one dish that I might be ok with! Ate at the the trusty Wetherspoons round the corner.

Very great pasta. I tried the volcano penne and my girlfriend took a spaghetti carbonara and it was fantastic. Lovely staff and charming place.

Friendly service, family run restaurant, busy serving take-away pizzas. My pizza was cooked to perfection and tasted excellent, There were mainly locals eating. It was extremely good value for money.

On my first day in Wick, I discovered this little spot while walking along the high street.

Lovely service. Very attentive.and the food was awesome. The best minestrone I have ever tasted. My hubbie had a fab pizza and massive. My lasagne was excellent and big portion.
