You have to order at the bar. Food wasn't bad, but it's not great either. It is a budget friendly option and they do have a playground for the kids.

Absolute waste of time and space. Called up in advance to ask if they were pet friendly, I was told they are over the phone. When I arrived the guy at the till asks if our pet is a service dog and that "it is a really strict policy against dogs, but service dogs are fine". Wasted my entire day putting our trip itinerary back by a solid hour until we could find another. Wouldn't recommend these joblots to anyone.

Went in for dinner on way back from a few days away down south. We ordered gammon steak and the trimmings and a smothered platter. Which consisted of crispy chicken goujons with cheddar and bacon, gammon steak with pineapple and cheddar, 4oz rump steak topped with a fried egg. Served with skin-on fries , bear batter onion rings, coleslaw and BBQ sauce. The gammon on both dishes was very waterie, the skin-on fries where look warm and the rump steak was just cooked and no more and washed fir it well done. When received our meal before our cutlery. After receiving our meal we were not approached again. Well won't be going back there again.

Nice food. Beautiful place. The ordering system looked terrible. You have to go up to the bar and place your order there what makes a lot of people just stand and wait for their turn. Did not catch the name but props for the guy with long hair doing the orders at the bar 5*- something happened and he was left alone doing 2 tils.

A tale of two halves! We had called up in advance to check what time the softplay shut. We were told as long as we were seated by 5:30pm the kids could play for a couple of hours. Booked a table and arrived at 5pm... to be told (pretty bluntly) that the softplay was shut. I explained I'd called up and asked and the staff member just repeated that it was shut. We had driven 3 hours and had another 2.5 hours ahead of us so stayed researching if there was somewhere else we could go - until an extremely helpful member of staff said he would honor the booking and allow us to use the softplay. All the interactions with him and the lady with glasses were really excellent and made our visit a positive one. Food was decent, got the two meals for £11.99 which was a decent deal. Main thing was the kids got to burn some energy ready for the next leg of the journey. So thanks!

Greeter at the door was quite rude, looking us up and down because we weren't guest at the Premier Inn, after dinner waited 25 mins for dessert, I asked one of the waitresses and she said she would chase it up for me. I was hardly back in my seat when a male staff member asked me "have you purchased desserts" I showed him my receipt, to which he says " oh the kitchen, must have lost your ticket. It is one brewer's fayre I will never be back in. The staff at Linwood brewer's fayre should go up and show them how to treat paying customers!!!!

Went for the breakfast. It was ok. £10.99. For the price I would recommend

I used to come here regularly for good value food. But that's no longer applicable. Afters yesterday's visit we were subjected to Hostile staff. No Ambiance, Mediocre (overpriced) food. Not the sort of pub you'd want to go to for a night out. How quickly a place can go downhill when you have the wrong staff. 😞

Sadly very disappointed. We were greeted by the rudest server imaginable. If she's ever smiled in her like I think it must have been by mistake. Shame because first impressions are important.

Visited with my family for a meal and as I’ve been there before I knew what to expect food wise. It was fine and suited a large gathering with 3 young children. The whole thing fell down due to complete lack of interest from staff. Had to ask to have the table cleared when main courses arrived. I ordered drinks at the bar and I think it was the manager that served me (you are in the wrong job sir) as I felt like I was an interruption to his evening. Never again!!View less

I've got to laugh at the Sirloin steak comment - look, it's a Brewers Fayre, not some high-end steak restaurant, for goodness sake! It's a budget restaurant! Stop trying to pretend that you're something special! You get what you pay for! My family ate here for breakfast ladt week 25/01/2024, and Donald and his staff were fantastic 👏 👌 Very welcoming and attentive! Credit to Brewers Fayre.

I went tin thinking mass produced chain food, and got a pleasant surprise.

I ate here lots over the course of a few days while staying in the nextdoor premier inn while I was visiting inverness for a funeral. Over the course of 4 days, there was no soap in the men's bathroom. I told the bar staff every day, sometimes twice per day, so likely 5-6 times in total, and still nothing was done about it. There are signs all over stating the importance of washing your hands, but it's not possible given the lack of soap in the bathroom. I think it's actually gross to think about all the people in the restaurant who have dirty hands after using the bathroom. For this reason alone I wouldn't recommend going to this place. But also the service team were very rude to our party - once we were told that we don't have to book (for 13 people) because it's not busy, then we were told that we can't be seated because we didn't book, and the guy who explained the latter was incredibly rude. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the breakfast team was absolutely lovely and attentive and do deserve praise. The food was absolutely fine, cheap and cheerful and exactly as expected. The beer selection was poor, and I thought it tasted weird. The soft play was good for the kids, but it scares me a bit to think about all the germs in there given the lack of soap in the bathroom for an entire 4 day period. I definitely won't be visiting again and would recommend avoiding where possible.

Cheerful and a glorious Sunday roast, good outdoors area for kids

We usually have fish and chip and they are normally very good but on this occasion we were very disappointed. The fish was overcooked and dry, and the chips we think had been reheated so were soggy and unappetising. Also, which was very unusual, not once were we asked if everything was ok after being served. Won't be back for a while and certainly won't be recommending fish and chips.

Everything was great except for the cutlery it was sticky and I'm afraid dirty , but both myself and my son in law are in the trade we used the steam from the teapot to give them a clean, but Thank you for a lovely meal and assistance with my wife who is wheelchair bound.

We certainly enjoyed the additional soft play area at the restaurant that is attached...such a very nice spot for families/friends to eat and visit while the littles play and make new friends 💞

We stayed at the Premier Inn over Christmas and for hogmanay. We ate every night at Brewer's Fayre every night and was made to feel extremely welcome and the manager , he was so friendly and helpful. He went out of his way to talk and advice us We will definitely be going back just because of the service

Xmas lunch! Could have been Xmas dinner 2024 by the time we got our starter, staff had no idea about service, 40 mins for a starter an hour for a drink order, by the time we got to the buffet the meat was dry and unedible and the veg was mush chef seemed interested and hopeless, kids pizza that arrived 30mins late, absolutely diabolical for the prices. Whitbread needs to shake up this operation desperately.

Be here many times , just today go with friends today , the staff told us they not allowed any walk in customers , so curious , that on three tables is on , the rest of tables is empty not customers , i ask the staff why , he just tell me is the noticed from his boss , so disappointed , he just not friendly at all , and look a bit races , the whole restaurant is empty , only three tables got customers ..i just feel so weird with this , the management should really look for these matters , and I said I want to speak with manager , and staff told he is the duty manager, so disappointed with service, ...i won't be back anymore , and I also will tell all my friends regarding the restaurant, poorly management with this duty manager ... restaurant poor profit just because their have poor staff service...

Kris the chef is a really good cook and very polite, smashing fair enjoyed my carvery. The main man John has went out his way to help us. He’s a topper of a lad and will be coming back. Really really good.

This is the worst service I have ever received in my life! Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere! We stayed in the premier inn next door and booked the meal deal as part of the package. On arrival we waited by the door for 15 minutes before anyone acknowledged us. We were then advise a table would not be available for a further 40 minutes. After travelling all day we didn’t want to venture further afield for food so we decided to wait. We sat in a quiet corner, atmosphere was good. Whilst we waited I check online and could book a table within 10 minutes. The family members I were with didn’t want to make a fuss so we continued waiting and ordered some drinks. I ordered a seasonal cocktail and the bar staff advised that they could not make the cocktail because “the cocktail shakers were just out the dishwasher and were too hot”. I’ve worked in many bars throughout my life and Ice is typically available at all times and could have been used in the shaker to cool it down. Again not wanting to make a fuss I ordered a soft drink (which came with ice!). I then approached a waiter to ask when we would be seated (55 mins after asked to wait). She then said “let me check” and came back another 10 minutes later to seat us. I got the feeling she had forgotten about us which led me to wonder how long we’d have been left sitting waiting. By this point we were all very tired and very hungry which probably did not help. We sat at the table for 10 minutes before we approached the bar to ask if someone could take our order… at this point we were told for the very first time of the evening it’s bar service… this would have been nice to know when we sat down. We placed our orders - we ordered two starters to share between 3, 3 mains and 3 desserts. Our food did not take long. We were presented with two starters and began tucking in when a main appeared. We didn’t even have time to say anything before the waiter took off. We were hardly two bites in when the other mains appeared. We asked that the mains be taken away as we hadn’t even eaten our starters yet and we’re told “some people just ask for this” to which we advised we hadn’t and that our main would be cold by the time we were finished. The mains came out and looked great. But it took us some time to get the attention of the waiting staff to ask for mains cutlery. Eventually we tucked in and the food was good for the price. However, I then returned the plates to the kitchen myself as we were once again forgotten about. By this point we had completely given up hope for the staff that evening. There was one blonde girl behind the bar who was warm and welcoming but a lady I presume to be her supervisor didn’t speak to her very nicely and we picked up on it. Desserts were good but the service of the evening completely ruined the whole experience. We returned for breakfast in the morning as it was already paid for. The service we received at the “help yourself” buffet was far superior to the shocking service we received the night before. The morning staff were friendly, informative and very welcoming… the evening staff could have learned a thing or two from them! If we ever go back to that premier inn we certainly would not return to this branch of brewers fayre for dinner. I have never ever left a negative review before but the standard was so low that after a long day of travel I’d wished someone had given us the heads up!

This restaurant is a failure of management and organisation. I would expect Whitbread to be focused on productivity and creating additional revenue. Sadly poorly organised staffing of the bar area creates a constant queue where customers have to spend 10 minutes waiting to order each round of drinks or food. I had a meal and 4 drinks. I spent 40 minutes away from my table where I should have been enjoying a meal with my partner, queuing at the bar. All this while other members of staff clearly had nothing to do or filled their time doing tasks which did nothing to aid customer service. While queuing I asked a member of staff who had nothing to do other than restock fridges that were 3/4 full, if they could take my drinks order, and they said they were not trained to do so. Clearly staff here need to be multi skilled and flexible and have a greater focus on pleasing customers. Everyone knows that a meal at Brewers Fayre is a budget choice, but the service on offer need not be so, especially when the poor service translates to lost revenue, profit and opportunity to sell more. In short this is the worst example of time and motion/productivity I have ever witnessed. Staff here need to stop apologising about wait times to every single customer that gets to the front of the queue eventually and do something to organise themselves in a flexible, multi tasking way.

Great little place for classic pub food. Staff were all friendly and atmosphere was nice and relaxed. Food was good pub fare, reasonably priced, and the service was brilliant - will definitely be back.

I have frequented many premier inns with restaurants beside and rate the brewers fayre at inshes. The staff are really friendly, food is excellent and is one of the top eat out places in Inverness. Highly recommended

Visited 28th October celebrating a new Job. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. Food was excellent, we had Smothered chicken burger, chicken and ham pie and a Fajita burger. Food was nice and hot and delivered promptly. I had the Fajita burger which was a new addition, very enjoyable and would recommend. Ordered the banoffee cheesecake, excellent for the sweet tooth diner. Thanks to John and the Staff for another great visit

Baby changing room was shocking the smell was horrible ! My baby cried as soon as he entered the changing room and table service was shocking

Bar staff, very efficient, very friendly and chatty, front door staff, Male (John) very friendly, made conversation with us on arrival, made the birthday child feel special when he gave him a sweetie from the staff, overall a very good, and enjoyable evening, we will definitely be back.

Attended a Lovely kiddies party today, however 1 mother found that her glass of coke tasted weird, myself and another 2 people tasted the coke me being last and immediately realised the syrup was lacking in the dispenser. The Morher had already been back to the bar to notify the staff member, but she was fobbed off, and she headed back with her pint of coke and placed it in the washing/clearing up side, once I tasted it I knew the problem so I went to the bar myself with the pint of coke and complained. The manager assured me it was fine as he had tasted the coke himself, I requested a taste from an ulternative dispenser, which was reluctantly given to me by said staff member....this coke dispenser was in good supply of coke syrup so the manager offered me a replacement pint of coke from the other dispenser which I gladly accepted on the other Mom's behalf. The g Pint I returned had ice in as the Mom clearly asked for ice or was offered it...the NEW pint was shoved across the counter towards me by said staff member, to which I said "Thank you very much" and she just walked off as I was thanking her! Customer service skills is definitely something this company needs to look at sending her on! Thank God it wasn't a big meal, just a mere pink of coke! Good luck with complaining when she is on!!! If myself and the other Mom were treated so poorly over a pint of coke dispensed God alone knows what a carry on a food order would have been!

Table was very sticky. I had the haddock and it was not very nice. Thick rock hard batter and dry fish underneath when I finally broke through. This place has definitely gone downhill. Used to be good.

Friendly staff and great food. All the staff we spoke to were welcoming and helpful. The soft play area is well maintained and clean and there's a lovely wee park outside with seating. Only minor complaint is that the bin in the disabled toilet/ baby changing needs emptied more often or swapped for a smell-proof alternative!

Stopped by here on my way home and although they were busy, space was made for us. Staff were very good and friendly. (10 out of 10)😊 Food was tasty and provides quickly. Plenty car parking spaces. Handy locale on the edge of the city if your traveling. Recommended for some decent pub grub.

Good place to go for breakfast. No real criticisms except that the table and chairs in breakfast area not really suitable for tall people for (6ft 2’) as either the tables are low or chairs are high. Either way, bent over table. Only place I have ever had that experience. My dad loves it and tends to sit in the bar area which is perfect. Shout out to staff who are very friendly. Parking is plentiful and prices are reasonable. Connected to a Premier Inn for those staying over.

Sadly, like many places they were very shortstaffed, but they did their best although one guy needed a rocket up his backside. I’ve seen snails go faster. They’ve got no sense of doing more than one thing at once and it is extremely frustrating to watch especially having worked in the industry for many years. Maybe some staff training would help.

Have be there twice and had a pleasant experience both times. The first time being at 4:30 on a Sunday was fairly busy but the food was fairly prompt and the did a good job keeping us away form the noise of the family section. Second time was much later in the evening food took a bit longer to appear but was still reasonable. The food is nothing spectacular bit they have a good menu and the price is fair, the only thing I can fault them on since coke took over there drinks license there's not such a great section of soft drinks.

The food was mediocre, and the steak was just nice but I'm sure it wasn't 8oz like advertised No atmosphere here unless we were in at the wrong time 6 pm.

Unfriendly, slow service. 2 bar staff poured 4 pints of tennents very slowly for 1 customer while I stood waiting to be served. Then made the worst aperol spritz I've ever tasted. Also very expensive, terrible food.

Order food and drink at the bar. Soft drinks and non alcoholic beverages are bottomless/self service. What you would expect from a franchise pub. Clean, Friendly staff, and a reliable pub/grill menu.

I had a reservation booked at brewers fayre Inverness inshes gate and got refused a table on the 23rd of May. I had a reservation for my wife's birthday at 20:15 on the 23rd of May for 3 adults and 5 kids all under 10y and one baby with just 1y. When we got in the restaurant we got told wait because they had to check if we could be served because we were 8 people. After waiting nearly 10 minutes we got told that they were not able to serve us at the time. Bare in mind that they were dead quiet, asked how come I could not be served so member of staff left again giving me dirty looks and body language was just awful , came back again didn't even acknowledge me with an update started to play with the laptop at the desk and moaning to herself and keep giving dirty me looks. At that point I had enough and left without even getting a meal at my wife's birthday and with kids around me. As a previous ops manager at Premier inn and Whitbread for 2 years and Manager at Costa Coffee still under Whitbread employee that experience was just awful and not showing at all the Whitbread values. The way that situation was dealt was just ridiculous with 2 hours for kitchen to close and refuse table for 8 people is refusing money to the business. And considering that 5 were kids it takes less than 10 minutes to prepare kids menu. We felt awful after that with no meal and ruined my wife's birthday because were really annoyed. They clearly didn't wanted to work.

Wow staff were amazing especially Betty and Tina so attentive and courteous and manager John was fantastic with us,as for the food well so much choice and always tasty and well presented also never had to wait too long Can't wait to return thank you all the staff

We were on a visit to Inverness and checked on the Internet for places to eat that allowed dogs in. We chose the brewers fayre at Inshes Gate Inverness. We booked our table and turned up in time to be informed that in no way would we be allowed our dog in, even though I showed the manager Melissa a screen shot of your post on the Internet. Copy of same “Dogs welcome in our bar area or outside if the weather is nice “ Very disappointed as we had to leave our poor wee dog shut in the car. As far as the meal goes, the menu showed that a Sunday roast was on the menu, but when we asked for it we were told that it was unavailable, very bad at 1700hrs. Otherwise what we eventually chose was well pressed and of good fayre with perhaps the exception of cabbage in the salad. Will we be back again to this or any other Brewers Fayre? No, unless they change their policy on dogs .... I got this reply from the owning company. I would also like to apologise for any miscommunication regarding our policy of dogs within our restaurants. We can advise that we only accept well trained assistance dogs in our premises. This includes, assistance dogs for autism, mobility assistance dogs, guide dogs for the blind, hearing dogs for deaf people, medical detection and seizure alert/response dogs. As the laws in the UK currently do not apply to other assistance animals such as emotional support dogs, we do not accept these types of animals into our hotels. However, as with all aspects of accessible facilities, we always endeavour to improve on what we can offer and this area is continuously under review.

Lovely pub and restaurant, there is also a very good indoor soft play area and an outdoor playground for the kids. Which our granddaughter amused in while we ate. The food was excellent (great fish and chips of ample portion size) Would recommend.

Staff need hospitaliy training. They spent most of the time chatting to each other. I ordered a chicken cobb salad. Sent it back as the chicken was still pink. It returned the same. So didn't eat it. The cobb salad was in complete no cherry tomatoes and avocado.

Got a spot on a Tuesday Night around 8PM without reservation. You can also validate your card before you’ll get it. You have to order from the bar and pay directly once you got a table assigned. Music very loud, AC very cold. Food Quality was lower than average, we had Hot Dogs, Salad and Fish & Chips. Also lettuce in the salad was already in a very bad conditions. The food didn’t look fresh. Taste was not overwhelming, what do you want to expect for this price.
