This was our second time staying. We loved every minute of our two night stay. Everything is clean, Exceptional and the food is beyond amazing. The staff goes out of their way to make it a world class experience. We had a party of 5 over 3 rooms and we were so delighted with every single thing from breakfast to the amazing dinners and of course the staff. 10 stars would not be enough. We had to leave early on our second day and they even packed breakfast to go! It’s a magical Place and we can’t wait to return! We visited 3/16/25 from Utah USA

We are a family of five adults We have eaten in the Laruch before both in the bar and restaurant and never been disappointed. This year was still amazing. All five of us had different starters and mains and all were exceptional ! The food and service were so good we ate here twice in a week. Thanks to all the staff for such a great experience. Already looking forward to visiting again next year 😊

We had a lovely lunch here today. In particular the chicken and vegetable soup was very tasty. I enjoyed the toasted paninni with mozzarella and roast vegetables. The coleslaw with it was really nice. There's a lovely wee gallery and gift shop to browse also.

Old Pines, Spean Bridge was a charming, quiet retreat. On arrival, a pygmy goat basked in the sun on top of a picnic table, outside of the dining room. Wandering goats and geese provided comic elements. A spectacular view of Ben Nivis and the surrounding moors filled the floor to ceiling dining windows. 5 course dinners, generous Scottish breakfasts and comfy beds provided the perfect decompression from a hectic schedule. Across the lane and over the style, a walk through the moors offered surprises with wandering sheep, lively river waters and an unexpected view of an old stone viaduct destroyed in the clearance disputes. Emerging near Spean Bridge village we walked to the Commando Memorial and looped back on the moor trail to the Old Pines. A lovely, slow paced retreat.

Maybe I am not a fan of traditional pies, but give me a fish n chips Pukka pie instead any day. Also got their soup of the day - and again maybe I'm not a fan of traditional soups but even a cup a soup sachet tasted better. Fairly nice service though..

We came twice on our short trip nearby- on the Monday it was the only place open that allowed dogs, and on the Tuesday because we liked it so much the day before! We had breakfast both days and were pleased they offered gluten free options! A great variety of gluten free and vegan cakes on offer too. The coffee was lovely and was what drew us back the next day. It was clearly popular as all tables were full both times! Thanks again and if we are ever in this area we would come back :)
