The best restaurants in Fort William and Ardnamurchan Highland Highlands and Islands

After a long day of travel and wanting sustenance of a vegan variety, my daughter found this site listed and off we went. It was an amazing little restaurant down an alley and we sat outside in the nippy weather served by the charming staff. I had the "fish" and chips and it was delicious jack fruit with a layer of nori coated in crumbs and fried perfectly. My daughter had the lasanga and though we were warned not to get more...we did...and couldn't eat it all. We would gladly returne but were told that they were losing their chef and would close. I saw their site still listed here so decided to post a review hoping that others can and will enjoy this restaurant.

The best thing to have ever happened to the Kinlochleven area. This fabulous Chinese takeaway replaced the dreadful fish and chip shop on the site. The food is unbelievable, portion sizes will ensure you have more than enough, fantastic staff and I can't truly express how helpful they are. People are traveling from the much wider area to come to this gem and I can only say that I totally understand as it's the best Chinese takeaway I have ever been to.

Visited for Sunday Lunch off the set menu - excellent value at £40 for 3 courses of such a high standard plus an amuse bouche. Family of 4 with our spaniel who was made to feel most welcome in the brasserie. Attentive staff, relaxed but professional service. We had 3x starters of tempura prawns and one venison which were all stunning. 3x roast beef with all the trimmings which was excellent, and yet at the same time disappointing compared with the salmon fillet on pea risotto - best thing I have tasted in as long as I can remember. Chocolate dessert which featured at least 7 different components. If you are looking for a fine dining experience at the same cost as a bog standard 3 course meal pretty much everywhere else this is the place. Highly recommended, we will be back.

Paramos aquí en un día lluvioso después de ver las increíbles críticas. La comida era buena, las bebidas estaban bien y la sección de café en sí es preciosa. Cuando miramos en el sitio web, no estaba del todo claro que el área de juegos para niños estuviera justo al lado, pero no nos importó demasiado. Es un buen lugar para tomar una buena comida, ¡pero probablemente más si tienes niños!

Up here for work at the SYHA around 5 minutes away. Lovely food had the haddock and the Ben Nevis lager was great. Friendly staff as they asked me what I was up Scotland for. Sat outside as it was warm and most people chatted as I was on my own.

Excellent food, small portions, friendly staff.

Called in early evening, place was totally empty. Enquired with bar staff if they were actually open? Yes. We ordered pint of larger and tonic water (served from can). Total £9.75 Sorry but that is way too expensive..looked at menu as thought about having a meal. Everything was expensive...£49.00 for steak ? This is a place we visited twice about 20 months ago, prices have sky rocketed. Left after the one drink, didn't bother with food. Disappointed to say the least.

Amazing experience at Nevis Bank Inn! The staff was very friendly and accommodating to us travellers who came from across the world (Asia). The rooms were specious and had scenic views. The toilet was huge and comfortable! The room came with ample snacks and drinks, even an espresso machine! Special shoutout to their Strawberry Chipotle Chicken and Black Wholegrain Rice, such a unique take on a simple chicken & rice dish!

Nice cafe. Good breakfasts. Good selection of cakes. Staff friendly and helpful. Visited the place several days during our stay.

We had a lovely festive lunch today . Arrived early and was given tea and shortly after our lunch arrived . Thankyou Lorraine .

The food was awesome..being from a place where spices are deeply valued..this place did not disappoint..the flavours were perfect…food was freshly prepared using local ingredients..the staff was very courteous..everyone is very sweet and work very enthusiastically..highly recommend it vegetarians they have great options..the place is also pet friendly..the vibe is great i have no complaints!

We booked here as we were staying in the B&B & doing some research online I was struggling to find anywhere that we fancied in Fort William. I loved the free warm bread & cold water. Lot's of choice of drinks & a small fresh food menu- perfect! The food was tasty but small ish portions, we were a bit disappointed with the apple crumble for the price but overall had a lovely meal.

A wonderful location for dining. We came for dinner. Limited menu and apparently it was too difficult to swap chips for potatoes . Very poor.
