Awesome pub with great atmosphere, totally recommend!

That's the spot. Cool people and nice vibe. you will not find any similar around Fort William.

Nice enough traditional pub. Prices better than most tourist traps in Fort William. Some food would be good, even just toasties.

We visited when staying in Fort William. It's a welcoming bar with nice whisky options. It was a bit loud on the night we were there (there was karaoke in the back room), but it was still a fun vibe.

Lovely little old quiant pub in the middle of Fort William high street. Good pint of Guinness with some hot nuts served by a friendly bar man. Seem to have lots of events on too!

Great bar in the centre of the town and middle of the high street. Outdoor seating is available when the weather is good. Toilets are downstairs, but clean. Nice decor and warm atmosphere too. Decent prices too

This is the Best by Far in Fort William. The lager was spot on for well under £4.00. There was a Karaoke on and the Pub was Jumping. Great night after doing Ben Nevis the Day Before.

Guys, you have to go there. A fabulous price-performance ratio. You suddenly feel 10 years younger because the drink prices are so sensationally cheap. Two gin and tonics for the equivalent of 8 euros is not possible in Germany. The ambience and the view of the bar are also not to be despised. The location is central in the middle of the shopping mile. Slàinte mhath

Scottish bar with live music or karaoke, good pints of beer, good Scottish bar atmosphere, you stay glued to the floor like in many in the country.

Excellent proper bar, friendly helpful staff and good prices.

I didn't eat here, just had a wee dram and a few ales. As the evening progressed, the pub got busier and more lively. The bartenders were quick to get you pint and more than happy to answer any questions about the selection of whisky.

Great pub and great atmosphere when the football is on. Everyone friendly and welcoming. Didn’t eat food so can’t comment. Drinks reasonably priced. We watched France vs Belgium and the pub was quite busy which gave a good atmosphere

Came when visiting fort William. Great find. Was in 3 days. Football on so busy. Friendly bar staff, and other patrons. I said hello to people in the bar. Got friendly response. Everyone in had smiles on faces. Good atmosphere

Came before then returned after the first Scotland Euro game. Very busy and these folks where all over it, little wait etc. I preferred when quiet with nice seats outside. Humble beer range but more of a genuine proper pub which is a rare sight in these parts

We Have Been To Fort William a Few Times In The Past. Always Pop In This Local. Good Service of Friendly Staff. And There is A Good Selection of Scotlands Beers and Whisky's..

We were in Fort William back in September and we visited The Volunteer Arms each day we were there. The staff were incredible and so friendly. We came here on our wedding night and did we ever have a blast! We eloped without family or friends present, but the musicians and staff (and all the patrons!) made us feel like we were having a huge party with our family and friends. Thank you to everyone, you really made our trip special. (Sorry if my wedding dress shed glitter all over!!)

Ordered a pint, got not what ordered. Paid for it, but left it on the bar. After a while bartender poured a bit off, topped it and sold to someone else and we were watching this all. What a warm feeling, will vote with my feet!

Busy bar at the weekend, staff were very good to accommodate our viewing of a rugby match. No food served. Live music on and the is a pool table too.

Most unwelcoming pub. Tried to purchase 5 coffees for family aged 68, 48, 47, 19 and 17 on a sunny day at 4.30pm to sit outside and enjoy ambience. Barman refused to serve my husband saying that “challenge 25” is different in Scotland. No under 25s allowed. We tried to point out that’s for alcohol, not coffees, but he again said different in Scotland. I cannot believe a 17 year old is not permitted to drink coffee outside on the street in Fort William at 4.30pm.

Walked in to see what their advertised malt whisky list was like. Saw very little of interest and as we turned back we’re screamed at by a local to ‘get out’ so loudly that people in the street outside asked us what had happened.

A great little pub with a good choice of beers and whisky and a bonus of a lively atmosphere.

I like the Volley, as it is known locally. It's the most popular bar in Fort William, without a doubt! The atmosphere is good in it. A Saturday night is the busiest by far. You get entertainment, good craic and a nice atmosphere! Carmen, the Bar Manager, is brilliant and always pleasant with customers. It's my favourite, for a night out.

This place was a nice-looking pub in walking distance from the hotel we were staying it. We only stayed for one round of drinks, but the bartender was very nice, and the pub itself was pretty cool.

Great place for a pint after finishing the West Highland Way. Met both other hikers and locals in this pub, and everyone was really nice!

Very lively pub on Fridays and Saturdays. Lots of TV sets showing sports but chatter and music is always heard above the sports. Good mix of locals and tourists of all ages

On the main street, plenty of seating, nice big bar. Live music was on, and they played a decent selection of songs. Good crack. Decent selection of drink.

Proper pub full of real people. We went in on a Friday and a Saturday night so it was very lively. There was a live band on Saturday night and everyone was enjoying themselves. Good friendly atmosphere.

Visited the pub for the second time visiting Fort William and had a great time. Drinks prices are very reasonable, cheaper than the Wetherspoons, and had great live music both times. Ted Christopher as a free gig most recently.

What a night, good music, lovely stuff amazing crowd. The only embarrassment was when my friend was standing outside with a glass of beer. Bartender became rude and denied him anymore drinks. We didn’t appreciate that at all, there was no need for it.

Lovely, friendly little pub right in the middle of Fort William high street. There is good ambience here with music playing and a pool table and the drinks are reasonably priced.

Un sitio genial para tomarse unas pintas. El ambiente es total, la gente va un poco a lo bestia con las copas y los cócteles, pero nada fuera del panorama habitual escocés. Nos encantaron los grifos para los alcoholes más etílicos. Había una buena hilera para probar y se ve que los locales apuntan más a eso que a la cerveza. Tienen mesa de billar, aunque muy pequeña, al fondo. No sirven comidas, al menos que hayamos visto
