The Fluke in Highland

I have visited with my friends and family this afternoon for lunch. Staff is very friendly and professional and the food was amazing! I went for the Tandoori Chicken which was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of spice 👌🏻

Delicious food with fantastic service. Came in with our 2 month old son and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Brilliant family friendly restaurant.

We took our dogs and a member of staff ( Tracy) instantly brought them a bowl of water and some treats. The service from all the staff was good. But Tracy was a cut above, with her fast service and willingness to please and go the extra mile for all of us and our dogs

Booked a table and arrived to find they had given it away to someone else, quickly resolved with an apology and another table, food and drinks as usual very good 😊

Cain and Aiden the best servers I asked for a little scoop of ice cream after the kitchen was closed as I needed something sweet absolutely had no issue with that thank you so much, were in for quiz had a great night

We came in after visiting the hospital,we had 2 gyros and. A short rib it was very tender and tasty ,it wasn't that busy the menu is quite big and very reasonable

We were recommended this place by a local on a visit from Aberdeen to Inverness. The food was absolutely great value and lovely and the guy who served us who's name I've sadly forgotten couldn't have been friendlier. He said he was doing a quiz that night (13/2/25) which unfortunately we weren't able to attend but no doubt it would have been a good atmosphere as the atmosphere was good just for being in for dinner. The place was clean , comfy and warm . Definitely recommended 10/10 for a bite to eat My gammon particularly was really nice.. thanks

A lovely place to visit whilst we were in Inverness. A good menu for children and very reasonably priced. Steak was lovely and the sizzle plate kept the meal toasty warm throughout. Bar staff were great. Definitely be back

2025 review- staff are friendly customer service is fantastic, premises is clean. Food is okay, very well priced. The only thing letting them down time and time again is food tends to be barely warm when it eventually gets taken to you. This could be because of the ridiculous wait times for stuff to get taken out the kitchen. For 2 people literally first through the door, ordered before anybody else arrived we waited almost an hour for some starters then almost over an hour for the mains. Didn't bother waiting for pudding. Over all my reviews over the years this has alway been the case visiting at different times of the day. If they sort this out the fluke will be a cracking little pub/resteraunt for a good nite to eat. Old Review, not much has changed, service and pub in general is great... Food quality is horrendous. Food was cold and bland, presentation is fine. This isn't a one off, have eaten here different times of the year when quiet and busy always the same. Keep coming back now and again when other alternatives are full on the hope tings will be different. Old old old review-4 birthdays and 2 family meals all ruined by this place.. they can't handle large party's of people for food.. even on a quiet day food was rubbish.. used to be excellent so don't know what change

A really friendly atmosphere, the Staff were amazing so friendly, happy and nothing was too much trouble 😊 We will definitely be back soon xx

Not nearly as good since menu change food ok but not great - reputation for LARGE steaks no max. 9oz uncooked!!! Staff not very helpful. Tables not cleared from previous customers. Back to Beefeater I'm afraid.

went in on monday for lunch with daughter and grand-daughter what a lovely atmosphere i had the fish which was amazing daughter had macaroni and finished her plate delicious and well the grand-daughter was highly amused with the staff . we think this could be a monthly thing as the daughter lives in caithness .tytyty

Quick service ,good food , grate price

Popped in for lunch. Friendly and helpful lady staff member was very good. Good selection of food, good value for money. Dishes arrived quickly and were very tasty. Good value for money. Will return.

1st class service. Very helpful and friendly. Took care of our various vouchers for dinner and drinks with ease. Nothing was a problem to the staff. Over and above the call of duty. Made our day/weekend.

Very good food, great price. They offer a promotion of two main dishes for 15.00.

Opted for carry out because of weather, didn't receive chips,when I phoned to tell them they said take it up with just eat.

Our family cannot fault the fluke ,staff are polite food is excellent and service is second to none.

We were visiting in lunch time. Decent and polite staff, amazing proper service, fair value, pub’s manager absolutely knows his mission, food was hot and tasty, happy to wait to get personal attention even during busy time, staff definitely deserved to be rated for 5 star. If u are not in rush I’d highly recommend Fluke, it’s worth it! Will be regulars as long as it possible

We went there for an early dinner with our toddler. The staff was really nice with us and our kid. Atmosphere, other patrons and beers were also great!

We go to the Fluke at least twice a week as this is our local pub. We get treated like royalty when we go in and Ugin the trainee manager and Eileen & the staff are very friendly and professional from greeting you to pulling a pint to serving food It is a very good dog friendly pub, the dog gets a water bowl and a treat on arrival. Gregg the manager has got a really great friendly pub with excellent staff and atmosphere. Well done to all. The 3 B,s

I have spent every evening here during my stay in Inverness. The food was delicious, the beer was cold and refreshing, the atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the other guests were friendly and interesting.

Really enjoyed this place. If they added more rice to the curry and a bit better quality in the deserts then would've got a full 15 stars. The staff though were amazing. Would definitely go back.

The sirloin steaks were not the hottest and the separate portions of chips were luke warm.

The quality of the food and was value for money. I had an appointment but the food took over 45 minutes to arrive!!!!!! This meant my experience was very rushed and stressed. We complained to the server and they did us a discount card for another visit which was welcomed and went some way to make us feel better.

Lovely sunny afternoon sitting in beer garden waiting for booked table time then dined after 5 very pleased good menu plus had a discount voucher so dinner and beer for 3 very pleased.

Fun local place to visit. Lots of tables but they do take reservations so consider that if you're going at a busy time. Dessert sampler was scrumptious!

Amazing food, perfectly cooked, lovely relaxed atmosphere. One of the best places to eat in Inverness ! Cannot recommend highly enough.

Unfortunately not a great experience this time. Order was incorrect three times...by the third time I felt too awkward to ask them to correct it again so had no drink with meal as the orange squash given was nearly pure concentrate instead of the fresh orange juice with lemonade that was ordered...twice. Meal was generally disappointing with medium rare steak more well done, fish and chips kinda cold n dry and peas still hard. I really wanted to make this my local but think I'll look elsewhere. Disappointed to spend so much without a satisfactory meal and service.

Food was delicious, served hot and quickly. Had the vegan ribs, they were excellent. My kids both had burgers, didn't hear much out of them so they must have been good. If I'm ever this far north again would definitely come again.

Jessie our waitress was very very good!! We all enjoyed our meal apart from 1 of our party but that was dealt with extremely well and a new meal was ordered. So over all happy with everything. Jessie deserves a medal

Was ok, used to be really good.

We actually come from England, and we were in Scotland visiting so we decided to go out for dinner. When we got there we got served quite quickly by a lady called Zoe. We was a table of 10 and all ordering food so we expected a wait but all of our food was out in around 20 minutes, which was really good. We then decided to order puddings, however, it took 45 minutes for our puddings and we still hadn’t received them, whereas tables that had come after us was getting their dinners and puddings. We went up and asked the gentlemen on the bar if he had any updates on the pudding in which he replied “they’re being done” however he didn’t leave the bar once to check in the kitchen. We waited another 15 minutes and there was still no puddings so we decided to leave and get a refund and the manager apologised.

It’s cheap and cheerful, good atmosphere and really good choice of food options.

Managers and server's seem like they don't want to be at work. The food was decent but wouldent come here again for the atmosphere and the servers. The delivery drivers seem to be waiting endlessy and I feel bad for them, they seem frustrated and the staff don't seem to care about them.

Lovely pub restaurant with good social distancing between tables. The staff were friendly and accommodating when asked to be given extra time between main and dessert courses. Nice friendly atmosphere and look forward to returning in the near future. Would efinately recommend a visit to this pub

Food was delicious but it took over 45 minutes to arrived. Service was very slow, We thought the next booking was going to arrive before we were finished. Other people that arrived and ordered after us were served before us. Fortunately the food was VERY good! Highly recommended, if you're not in a hurry

I was here on business and staying locally for 3 nights. I went to the fluke the first night and was welcomed by the local homely atmosphere. I had food in the restaurant and it was lovely . I was planing to go into the town, however was so impressed I went for food and drinks again the other 2 nights. This bar is a wonderful peaceful place, locals so friendly and so welcoming and real people . I’d like to thank Dayna, Kelly and Zoe for looking after me on my trip and would highly recommend it you all. Thank you stuart

We had our wedding here in June of 2024. It was so perfect and cozy. We had about 60 people fit comfortably. Plenty of space to dance. Food was buffet style and so tasty. All the staff were friendly and accommodating during the run up to the wedding day, and on the day itself. Very reasonable price as well. Would definitely recommend

The staff was super nice and did a great job. Also the food was really tasty and there are various options to choose from whether you eat meat or not. Loved it;)

I ordered a delivery of fish and chips(using a delivery service). The fish was absolutely brilliant and so fresh. I know I paid £25 for 2 fish suppers but well worth it.

First rate service from Katie. Lovely friendly hard working lassie with a fantastic personality. Food was to die for I had hunters chicken my sister had sausages mash peas and gravy and my mam had fish and chips. Whale sized piece of fish in beautiful batter. The mash was beautifully light fluffy and buttery. Clean plates all round and apparently the lady's name was Sandra who was in the kitchen. The young server was Ukranian Eugene and a lovely pleasant helpful chap too. If I could give ten stars I would. Top notch Recommended 1000% xxxxx

Dean and Greg have been fantastic, they always made sure I was taken care of and making sure I was okay and gave me a really good laugh. The staff are awesome sauce and I couldn’t recommend them enough. An absolute credit to the business and the vibes are immaculate. 🍻😁

Visited today for the fourth time whilst holidaying in Inverness. Had 2 good and 2 ok meals. - Today the service wasn’t good. We booked the table for 18.30. 25 minutes later we were told they didn’t have the steak that my partner ordered and gave him .30p back. Another 25 minutes later we got our food. My partner received a sauce that he didn’t order. I chose Hunters Chicken. It was very dry and the chips didn’t seem freshly cooked - it seems my meal had been prepared 25 minutes earlier, and probably re-heated when my partner’s steak was ready. Good value for money, but the wait was unacceptable.

Food was amazing tonight as per usual. Turning out to be the highlight of my week, food and the quiz. Staff are all super friendly and go the extra mile.

As per usual The Fluke absolutely slayed, impeccable service, unreal craic and the drinks flowed freely like nectar. Rebecca, Ellie & Dean where clearly trained by service pros as the experience they offered was unrivalled in the Highlands

The staff were amazing and are a good laugh as well. The service is prompt and efficient. The pub quiz is great the quiz master does a great job making it fun and enjoyable for all. Overall I couldn’t ask for a better experience from the staff and patrons.

Worse food I've had in a long time. Steak over cooked . Tasted like rubber . Chips not cooked properly . It's like the place is run by a bunch of clowns . Not even chef ramsey could help here

Was good until my wife discovered a hair in the batter of her fish. We mentioned it but it was only vaguely acknowledged. Shame as we probably won't go back.

We go to the Fluke regularly for meals. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. Nothing is ever too much for them, even wythey are rushed off their feet. Meals are always tasty and hot. Great selection on the menu. Very good value for money. Atmosphere warm and friendly and relaxed. Nothing to improve. Well done the staff at the Fluke. 👏🏼🥇

Asked for medium to well done steak, came out well done. Minus a fried egg and mushrooms which were on menu included with it. I asked for an egg and plate was taken away and returned coldish. Egg was fine ;) I would have preferred egg added to a side plate... Football match was on telly so was busy but didn't mind. Pudding was nice.

Excellent we place always here with my daughter when I'm up seeing her 😀 she also likes the place aswell 😀
