The best restaurants in Glasgow City Glasgow and Surrounding

An evening with Brian Maule & Graeme Brown 5 course chef designed menu with matching wines. We were welcomed and seated by the friendly staff at Glaschu. After an introduction to the format of the evening by Brian and Graeme, the types of paired wine being offered we were served the following. The amuse of Spiced Crab Lobster with Crab Apple Jelly with crouton was deliciously accompanied with Moet & Chandon Imperial champagne. The starter of Marble Pressed Chicken, Smoked Duck, Parma Ham and Wild Mushroom with White Truffle Dressing and Tips of Asparagus was accompanied with 2023 Sancerre Blanc from Cave De Sancerre. Next, a Fillet of Stonebass, Pickled Artichokes and Herb Butter Sauce with a 2023 Viognier/Roussanne, Sutherland Vineyards. The main course was a Roast Medallion of Scotch Sirloin, Spring Vegetables with a Rich Red Sauce and a 2014 Haut-Medoc, Chateau de Villegeorge Poached Rhubarb, Strawberry Gel, Creme Chantilly and Honeycomb and a 2023 Brachetto, Pizzini. Tea/Coffee and Petit Fours and a wee Macallan to finish. Overall the quality of the food and wine pairings were exemplary. The service was of a very high standard. We look forward to more of these evenings with guest chefs.

Primera vez que visité el Pipers Tryst y ahora me pregunto por qué no he estado muchas veces antes cuando estaba en la ciudad para espectáculos de teatro. Este restaurante es excelente y la ubicación ideal puede aparcar al lado de la calle sin molestias. El menú era tan deliciosa boca No podía decidir qué me había conformado con eglefino (enorme) fantásticas patatas fritas tradicionales grandes Esposo tenía el cordero patatas al ajo dijo que sabía tan fresco y cocinado a la perfección ¡Tenía el pastel de queso de vainilla de nuevo podría haber tenido todo el mundo! El precio era muy justo tenía un café y una cerveza de jengibre todo para £ 53 También es una organización benéfica por lo que ayuda a financiar las Scottish Pipe Bands otra buena razón para frecuentar. Realmente vale la pena una visita desayuno, almuerzo sándwiches o cena. First time in Ocho, it won’t be the last. I had a new dish on the menu, French toast stack with Halloumi, tomatoes chili oil coated nuts and a herb dressing topped with a poached egg. It was absolutely fantastic and a big plate of food. Would thoroughly recommend this place for breakfast or brunch.

This is a super cool cafe hidden down a lane. If I was under 35, kids free and went with a group, I would probably be giving it 4/5 stars. The burger was a bit too rich for me but tasty, the ice vanilla coffee delicious, service was really good too. I was there to check it out and see if the kids would enjoy it, but the loud, hardcore rap and the innuendo in the menu make it feel not child friendly. Don't want to spend my lunch explaining the meaning of swear words to my younger kid or watching my teenager die of embarrassment if I order the hot mother clucker (hilarious...until your mum orders it 🤣). I also just don't like listening to people raping about getting stabbed at a volume you can't filter out while munching a burger. it just feels wrong. Worth a visit, but maybe not for the kids.

Best food in Glasgow, very friendly staff

Aileen was a great facilitator and it was an interesting class. It was insightful for me and my two friends who became aware of how inhibited we can feel as adults and when able to move beyond that, we enjoyed the benefit of laughter today.

La mejor comida india que hemos probado en mucho tiempo! El pollo con mantequilla era el mejor. El personal era increíble, no podía recomendar este lugar lo suficiente! ¡Es una lástima que no esté en Leeds!

Wow!! Treat yourself to some of the best of what Scotland has to offer. Really class. Service, atmosphere and the dishes that are offered. 5 Star!

Amazing restaurant! Went for a pre theatre dinner, highly recommend. The chicken kebab, garlic naan, lamb taco and potatoes were super tasty and great value for money!

Lovely coffee and toastie. Affordable! I must be honest, it was the best coffee I had in Glasgow. The staff are super friendly and accommodating. Thanks for a lovely experience.
