Fayre Play in Glasgow City

i liked the food, just think it was a bit pricey. every staff was super friendly and happy to help out. loved the vibe and will definitely be back again!!

It was daughters hen do the games were brilliant so brought out the competitive in me and the staff were amazing my mobility is not good and they each brought me out a chair and one fed me the balls making me feel I could take part it was such a laugh well worth a visit

Third time I've been and its defo gone downhill.. The shooting has changed to a digital version which was a bit faulty, a few broken machines(1 of guns didn't work, one of the whack a moles broken) making it a bit more a wait, the hooks in the ducks need replaced, the dart boards are also very worn down.. Loved the place on first two visits but not sure id return again.

We had a great night at fayre play. It was our first time being there and everything was amazing including the friendly staff tasty food and drinks and fun games!

This was fun, the house drinks/ cocktails are a bit gross sounding but maybe not to my taste. It’s a good time for work groups, family and friends. I’d go again

My boyfriend and myself attended Fayre play on the 3rd November for his birthday. We had the absolute best time and the staff on that night made sure we had everything we possibly needed. All the staff that night went above and beyond to make sure my boyfriend’s birthday was the best even giving him a free birthday shot.

Fantastic place to go to if your looking for a fun filled night.

First visit & wont be our last! We visited for a date night & also agreed would be fav to go with a group of friends! The cocktails were fun, came with sweets or props!

We had a great time, and playing the games was so much fun. we laughed so much playing them, food and drink was good too and we will definitely go back again.

My partner and I visited recently and whilst the staff were lovely, the place as a whole just felt run down. The whack-a-mole machines were purposely slow so you couldn’t win and duck (I got one mole every 10 seconds), some of the games were purposely rigged so you couldn’t win. And not being able to get double stamps for games that you win (even exceed) is disheartening. The scores were set so high they were unachievable and it just made us feel defeated as we could not win. We were extremely excited to go here as we love carnival games but the limitations just takes the fun out of the place and the price is not justified for what it is. We believe that even if my partner and I got 6 stamps between us it would not have been accepted. Didn’t even want a duck anyway 👍

Really fun for a date night, 9 different games and 2 tries at each one. Would definitely recommend to everyone looking for something to do in Glasgow!

We came to Fayre Play to celebrate our anniversary and had the best time ever. Special thanks to Matt who truly made our night. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a good time and we even named the duck we won after him! Thanks Matt, you were absolutely incredible! We hope the bosses give him some recognition for being an oustanding character 😍

Went for a date night and we had soo much fun !😁 We were looking for something different to do and this ticked all the boxes. Staff were friendly and explained the rules of play for each game. We booked the package of food, games and 2 drinks for only £38.50pp! This is such great value for money. We will definitely be back... And we even won a Duck !

We went for my partner's birthday and had an amazing time. The games are really fun. The atmosphere was relaxed and the music great. The food was tasty, and the drinks were varied and delicious. We got the Lucky Duck package and it's more than worth it. In fact if you're planning a trip to Fayre Play I strongly suggest you check out the packages as they elevate an already fun evening.

We ordered the strongman burgers but couldn't finish it as the burger was too tough to cut and bite through, I've had this burger before when I've visited and it was good but not so good this time. Staff are lovely and friendly!

The lack of gluten free food was incredible. Not one single thing was available. Not a problem if you can eat gluten, but being a coeliac, meant I had to go hungry. Which really took the shine off a good day out.

Great wee place, went for Daughter’s Birthday and they gave her Free Birthday Shot. Like being a Child again at the Funfair. Great value for money, you’re not rushed round and can play games in any order you like, take a break for Food & Refreshments and go back to playing again. Staff friendly and helpful explaining how games worked. Very Highly Recommended.

UPDATE: Its been 1 year on since my last visit and this place has went down hill rapidly. First of all, non of the machines seemed to work. For example the skeeball reset to 0 points when my party hit over 100. Instead of sorting it, we were just told our go was done and to move on. Like wise for the duck shooting, some of the sensors don't work so your score isn't counted. The basketball is manned by 1 person, so if your ball rolls over the stupidly low barrier (which it will every time it rolls back) you can be left without a ball for up to 10 seconds as the staff member runs around trying to collect them. The whack-a-mole is so jank. It ran the entire go without a single mole popping up for the entirety of my party. By that point we had lost out on a duck anyway so finished our drinks and left. Secondly, the bar is a shambles. You are queuing for up to 15 mins to get a very poor pint of lager. And lastly, the wait for the games has not improved slightly since it first opened... Legit, just reduce the number of people in the venue, or create a more streamlined service. Its such a cool concept but its not being executed well at all. My brother and his partner were bitterly disappointed with the experience and sadly don't think we will be back. With all that being said, the staff are very friendly and welcoming and are the only redeeming factor on the place. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Fayre play was really fun, the staff were super friendly and attentive and the drinks were reasonably priced, my only issue was the queuing... It was baffling to me that a place that pretty much requires bookings on a Saturday night was so inadequately managed in respect to too many people in the venue at once. We queued for almost every game, some longer then others. Waited approx. 20 mins for the shooting game, and the queue went on for ages after us. For me, I'd see it as being more beneficial to have a few less people in at a time, and allow for a more smoother experience. Customers will leave happier, and turn over will be higher. I would not let this put you off going however as it is a one of a kind venue, buuuuuut would recommend going off-peak if you have chronic ADHD like me and can't stand queues

Went on Thursday 19th September about 5:30-7:30pm ~ish. Was good fun, carnival style games and extremely helpful staff- shout out to Kate and Alex who were great hosts.

Good place for an adults day out. Food is decent, however lacking in beer options.

Fun, exciting games. Hard to win a duck but fun. The male staff member with tatoos operating the 'fish the duck' section' was rude and had a shocking attitude. We asked him to repeat something he said and he responded in cheeky way. Won't be returning again.

Despite my lack of fayre ground skills, the staff here made the experience amazing! The games staff were helpful and the bar staff were great! I will try and win a duck next time I visit!

Loved this place, staff were great, very friendly and helpful, was lovely to do something different on a night out. Have a wide range of drinks and cocktails, lots of food options and seating area, lockers are provided for free so you dont have to carry your stuff around, theres also a photo booth which was good fun!

First time visiting Fayre Play in Glasgow. We had booked the Games, Food & 2 Drinks package, which was well worth the money! For this deal, we each got 2 rounds of the 9 games, one main with fries and 2 drinks, which included the fantastic cocktails. The staff were super helpful throughout our visit, each taking the time to explain games and just make sure we were ok. The food was fantastic, cooked perfectly and really tasty. The cocktails were phenomenal, we tried a selection between us. I will definitely be back!

My daughter took me here food was not good burgers where hard plus got order wrong my daughters chicken strip where ever very crispy she only ate one of them to be honest it was quite boring for me but that’s me other people may enjoy it just not my cup of tea

Me and my partner went here on Friday and let me say we had some laugh!! Defos something different fornus to do instead of the pub. All the staff were brilliant. Especially Amy!! Great banter, great people skills, great personality and just made the whole the experience even better. Well done Amy you are amazing. Keep being you.

good fun, we went on a Sunday afternoon was pretty quiet. Went as a couple, would be amazing as a group. I will be returning. Didn't have food so can't comment, cocktail was ok more novelty with the cute little duck on it. Staff helpful .

Fayre Play was brilliant. The games were so much fun. The staff were enthusiastic and made the atmosphere even better. I would highly recommend this for a starter to a night out. Very east to get to from the city centre.

Had a fantastic time here, great value for money, well worth getting the tickets that include a meal each and two drinks tokens. The garlic fries were absolutely spot on. Games are challenging yet fun. We spent a good amount of time here, a really fun date for something a little different.

This is a really good concept and atmosphere. I did feel that the benchmark for winning a duck was a bit high as some of the games you would need to have experience with to win a stamp. It was still a lot of fun and would go back for another round as worth the money.

My boyfriend and I came for a wee date night and didn’t really know what to expect. We were worried it was going to be really busy and overcrowded but the atmosphere was brilliant and the staff were friendly and had a good laugh while we played the games. The food and drinks were good too. Although we didn’t win a duck, i would definitely recommend to people.

Didn't eat here, and the own brand lager should be avoided like the plague, but our party had a great time at Fayre Play. I can imagine it might become loud on a Friday and Saturday night but there are loads of games and plenty of cocktails to keep everyone happy. Loads of parking on the street outside

We had a fab time!! There was 4 of us from 37 - 60 and we just had a blast! We walked in at 12pm on the dot, got told what we had to do and how we had to do it and a few hours later we realised the time and couldn’t believe we had been there for 4 hours already. For the price we paid, the food and drinks were delicious and the games so much fun - gutted we didn’t get a duck though!!!

Food and drink were good and we had a good laugh. Paddy behind the bar was fantastic. We ended up staying for another game.

We really had the very best time here! Came here with my husband for his birthday and they gave him a wee token to get a free shot for his birthday. The girl was really nice when we came in and explained how everything worked for us. Then we went to the bar and ordered some drinks before playing our games and the girl that wore her hair in a bun was just so lovely and had a laugh with us. The games were super fun! And they were winnable we were just a bit rubbish at them but had such a laugh doing them! The cocktails were yummy and each and every member of staff made it memorable for us. I absolutely thrashed my husband at the ball toss with the holes and the hook a duck. Everyone was friendly and super chatty and just made us feel right at home. We had some food too, really recommend upgrading to the garlic fries! From the moment we walked in to the moment we left we felt so welcome. The guy at the bar was lovely as well and asked me what sweets I wanted with my cocktail. Good vibes all around. These games really are what you make them, so go in with having a laugh in mind and don't be a sad clown.

Great day out for something a bit different. We didn't have food but there was a good selection of cocktails. Great for mate dates, first dates, couples and I could see this being a really fun team building day out!

I took away one star for quality of cocktails, they arent cheap and you get it in a not the biggest *plastic* cup, was there even any alcohol in it? I could not taste it. Very medicore. Staff is helpful and polite . Games are fun but there could be more (space is big enough) of them and maybe a carrusel (the single horse next to the entrance should be in a more photogenic place). Space feels empty , lacks decoration

Fun experience, 9 different Fayre Ground games, the aim is to win stamps at each game to win a stuffed toy duck, you need 6 stamps for a wee one or 8 stamps for a big one. Each game has a score you have to aim for or beat, sadly I only managed to win one stamp but still enjoyed myself and will definitely be back.

So much fun. Such a great place for a date especially if you have been together donkeys years. Staff were great too as was the food and drink. Although would have liked a bit more options for burgers

My future husband and I went here for date night, it was fun and different definitely better than just going to a bar. It is pretty busy so you need to wait for each games you get 2 shots of each game.

Came here during my first ever day in Glasgow and it was so much fun! We bought the food and drinks package before we went, so I had the Chilli Dog which was amazing. You get 2 drinks with your voucher too, the drinks are really fun and a little bit quirky but delicious (some come with sweets!). The games themselves are great and the staff are always on hand to count up scores and explain instructions, everyone was super friendly. Would definitely come back!

The whole team were absolutely fantastic, the two managers on shift who catered to me and my partner, Kate and Max, were absolutely fantastic and so attentive! We had spilled a glass of Prosecco - totally our fault - and were replaced with two new glasses absolutely free, service was FANTASTIC! the other manager, who was working one of the games was absolutely phenomenal, so attentive and had some great chat. We were greeted by Alan when we came in and he explained the whole game system so clearly and made our visit the best it could be!! The staff there genuinely wanted us to win and rooted for us to succeed in all the games and the food was absolutely excellent value for money - could not recommend enough

It was absolutely amazing. We went for my sister birthday and this place did not disappoint!!! The food was absolutely delicious and the drinks are amazing and the workers were so nice and friendly one of them helped me get a few wee ducks since I wasn't able to drink and one of the couple in out group just needed one more point but couldn't do it even with 7 extra wee tickets to play again but a worker was so nice and gave them the big duck since it was someone's birthday and because they were trying really hard and now their car has a fluffy bed!!! But absolutely coming again lived every minute of it

Not to good as when high scores were beaten they raised them up so you had next to no chance of winning stamps almost impossible too earn although very kind and helpful staff still don't think we will be back due to this experience can't comment on food as never had any prices should be alot lower for only x2 attempts at the games edit ( the scores were changed x5 times the night we were there so don't lie just for custom)

Went here for a date night and quite enjoyed ourselves. Food was a bit average but you’re probably not coming just to eat… the games are fun and the staff are awesome. They really made the night a lot better. Not to brag but I did win a duck 😏😂

Had a reasonably enjoyable experience. Went on a Saturday afternoon as part of a group after having booked ahead of time. There were clearly not enough staff, things weren't explained properly to begin with and one or two games were set up in a way that it was almost impossible to get a stamp. Rules were explained differently by different members of staff and there were no clear queuing areas for the activities which caused an issue a few times. I'd go again to give it another chance but no chance would that be another Saturday afternoon.

TOTALLY loved this place! Had an absolute blast, the staff were really engaging and so much fun.. food and cocktails were absolutely delicious. Photo Booth and decor were really funky! We didn’t win a lucky duckie prize but will most definitely be back to try again!

It was really fun but it was too packed with really long queues for games like a ring toss that don't last very long. Despite that, I'm glad I tried it. I think some changes would need to be made (more games/more attempts/more space etc) before I'd think about returning. Food was pretty awful too taste wise. Staff were super lovely though and really livened the place and put smiles on folks faces.
