great scampi & chips, came with a fat slice of fresh lemon & sachet of tatar, lovely!

In my opinion, the best chippie in Glasgow! The food is crispy, not greasy and the chips have real flavour. Love it!!!

just to let you know that your drivers are terrible i had to phone the shop because i waited for nearly hour and a half it wasn't the shop fault it was your drivers the shop had to send one of his staff to deliver my order dont think its appropriate after spending 28 pounds

Not that good food, quite filthy also, and not too good staff, ie. Manners. Situated in one of the worst part of Glasgow, more likely to get robbed than get grub, poor excuse for a restaurant. The Clientele are all the same people, better going to a McDonald's and they're extremely bad. It stinks and it's filthy.

Amazing cheap dinner/lunch option, takeaway mainly but has a very nice diner style sit-in area. Fish and Chips are £6.50 and most of the menu is under £10.

Cannot believe I've never been here! So glad I came across this amazing cafe after a trip to The Barras. Lovely traditional, homely atmosphere and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. I had the regular fish tea and it was the nicest fish and chips I've had in a very long time, if not ever! So much food for the cost, added bonus! Will definitely be back!

My and a friend had popped in to this cafe this afternoon,,I was wearing all white and I'm 6'7 so u might remember me,,I asked for a coffee and energy drink for my friend,,I'm extremely skinny as I have cancer and going through chemotherapy,,,the young lad who was serving was extremely polite,,,how ever the older gentleman the biggish guy with a bold head was a different story,,,he had stated that he didn't want our sort in there and that we had to take our drinks n go,,he then started slagging us off to other members of staff,,,this is absolutely disgusting the fact that I have lost 11 due to cancer not god dam drugs I don't even smoke let alone anything else shame on u and how dare u

A real old-school fish and chip restaurant. Food is always fresh and hot, straight from the fryer to the table. Always busy, no surprise. Service is always great. Prices are very reasonable for such good food. I like to go here for a meal before going to a show at the nearby Barrowland.

It’s been over 20 years since my last chippy here when I used to come in on weekends to the Barras with my mum. So happy to see it’s still the best chippy in Glasgow. Service and staff are amazing. My fish tea was brilliant and I loved that I could choose between peas or beans. Excellent prices too.

My sister and my brother in law took my dad for his 92nd birthday here today.

tracked my order suppose got be between 4 35 to just before 5pm ours didn't arrive till 17 31pm.Husband had to go outside to watch for him,driver was more concern to check our address,was. told food will be cold.We had to reheat our food.we order every week from Coronation restaurant through just eat.as I said it was not acceptable to wait and reheat meals.Await your reply.Mrs E Mcinnes.

Had a fried breakfast there yesterday with a cappuccino and the breakfast was delicious. Got there minutes before cut off time and staff were only too happy to still make up the full Scottish. Excellent wee cafe and friendly staff

I know this restaurant does decent fish and chips as I’ve eaten there before. However, when I ordered on Just Eats my food was not delivered, despite being marked as delivered by the driver.

3 hours late and found out it's because drivers have the option to refuse pickup. this is Just eats fault

I had heard this place did a great fish tea so dropped in with a friend to give it a try. It's an atmospheric, old style Glasgow fish n chip shop. Clean and tidy inside with new tables and chairs but full of old world charm and character. Service was very good and only matched by the food. I had a fish tea and my friend had a special fish. They were both excellent. Both fish were cooked perfectly as were the chips. We both had ice cream with raspberry sauce for dessert and it was the best ice cream i've had anywhere in years. Highly recomended.

I went to this restaurant on a monday night at 6.30and sat down to order simple fish and chips as i have done periodically for thirty years, often with visitors to glasgow in the film and tv industry, as was the case on this occasion also. After a delay i was told upon ordering from the menu they were "not now doing fish". This was despite the fact there were three cooked pieces of fish in the windowed heater. Ordering a set of cheese toasties we were told they were not now doing toasties either, and and bizarrely had to settle for a cheese salad roll. One person who came in after us was given fish and chips to carry out as was someone who ordered after us at a table. It was clear the staff could not be bothered to cook more fish or even heat a toastie. My colleagues, some from abroad, were shocked at the shabby, disrespectful and rude behaviour of the staff who had decided they were closing at 7.30 on a monday evening (which they did despite a nearby barroiwlands concert scheduled) and would not be bothered with customers who arrived at 6.30. I have over the years enjoyed visiting this cafe under the stewardship of the cordial owner chris corvi who was not present on this occasion, but i unfortunately do not intend to return. This cafe in the past had excellent staff, but i cannot say the same holds now. Judging from recent reviews , my experience is hardly unique. Tempora mutantur...

Normally the food is cracking but this order wasn't, sadly. Chicken was undercooked and hardly any skin on it.. and there was a weird taste off the sausages.

chips were good although paid for large but seems like small at best medium, pizza crunch was disgusting and the "special " fish was so much the other very dry and very little of it too.

Wife went in for single sausage and a bag of chips this morning, chips were absolutely vile two week old reheats the soggy sausages binned the lot, robbed me of £10 avoid at all costs.

This place has been a favourite of ours for decades,yesterday being Saturday it was really busy as usual,we were lucky enough to get a seat by the window,our order was taken quickly and l got a Small Fish Tea,my daughter a tasty ham coleslaw salad roll,it was delicious,the prices are very reasonable Friendly staff and very clean also has good sized toilet

Great find with local atmosphere and superb food. It's lovely to see many locals being warmly greeted. We went for fish and chips which was great as well so I would thoroughly recommend stopping here

Visited Guido's coronation restaurant whilst away in Glasgow for business. It's a traditional cafe with a friendly feel. I had the fish supper, which came with marrowfat peas. I had this with a pot of tea and can of iron bru. The fish itself was a good size. Not sure what kind of fish it was but maybe didn't taste like haddock that I'm used to. Overall was good value.

The food is lovely and always have been my mum loves coronation cafe the staff are so friendly and kind to my mum really nice friendly staff and nothing is ever a problem for them they Always do their Best for customers .Best chip shop ever Has been for many many Years Thankyou for your friendly Welcoming service to all your Customers Its really nice this restaurant always gives 100% to their customers :)

Guido’s was one of the best parts of my visit to Glasgow. The warm atmosphere of the little restaurant drew me in, and the ladies working there were so sweet, friendly and welcoming. I had the fish tea and absolutely loved it! Put it on your list if you want fish and chips, haggis or anything from the variety of tasty food they offer!

Guys I ordered a special fish breadcrumbs not batter I can’t eat batter for health reasons I should have said however the food was hot and chips was good however the fish was ridged rigamortis set in with that solid batter sadly it was a bust this time I am a fish guy I buy every two days and thought I had a close top rated chippie it would have been great if the fish was ok id have took the fish out but it was rock hard sad to say flop this time I would have called if I had number
