Looking to try for the first time today with my sister, Excellent service and courteous staff...will definitely be back

A clean and welcoming place. Staff are lovely, friendly and attentive.

Went in well before closing with my kids 30 mins before they close, quite reasonable. Would have been away before closing time at 5. But they wouldn't serve us and just said "well we close soon". Had to go all the way back home when I had rushed there right after work. Terrible/no service. 0/5 stars.

Excellent food: appetisingly presented, fresh, delicious and generous proportions. As well as a wide range of choices for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Warm, polite and friendly service. Owners are a hard working couple for whom customer service is a clear priority. I would highly recommend that you try this delightful venue if you have y already!

Relaxing atmosphere, decent prices and delicious food. I ordered the veggie breakfast for £12 which included a cup of tea. My friend ordered the pancakes which was a huge portion!

Great Breakfast / Brunch / Lunch. Great coffee. Brunch options are fantastic - the halloumi and avocado with poached egg is excellent, and their homemade spinach pie is top drawer - probably the best I've had in the UK. The cakes are lovely too.

Weekly visit on a Wednesday afternoon with Dad and sister. Consistent quality, welcoming and friendly staff. Only downside is on days when doors have to be closed hair and clothes can absorb the smell of frying food.

Amazing place. I have been there twice and absolutely amazing Very tasty food and very well presented. Staff is very friendly and makes you feel very welcome. Of course I recommend a good breakfast or brunch. I will definitely be back I would give them more stars if I could

It was a great Sunday experience for me . The service was very warm and the food was delicious. Next to the art gallery and the railway station, it is recommended to take the train.

Ordered probably the worst takeaway roll I've ever has. Asked twice for lorne and bacon as I wasn't sure the waitress heard me correctly. Got to where I was going to eat and was greeted by 2 poxy bits of bacon and no lorne in a big roll. Disappointing.

I had the Mediterranean meatballs and its taste good and taste like it's freshly cooked.. hot drinks are good in quality and price..

Good staff I booked my meeting at The Grind forgetting that we will be fasting. I told the staff sorry not going to order any food as fasting. He said absolutely fine and was very understanding and accommodating. Atmosphere is always great and good fresh food. Always good place for meeting

The food is not as good as before. ? New chef. French toast dry, just dipped in and out. The pancakes not fresh,a reheat, bacon precooked. We didn’t send it back because the people here are so nice. I should have stuck with my favourite spinach pie !

Great place for lunch. My colleagues and I very much enjoyed our soups and sandwiches. Very good value for your money as well and the staff are really friendly.

Delicious meals and coffee. Great vibes and speedy service. Friendly staff and well accommodating. Made my brief stay in Glasgow that much nicer! Had the French toast two mornings in a row for breakfast, it was that good! And the smashed avocado the following day for lunch. I’m glad I went back because honestly cannot fault the place. 10/10

The food and drink is stunning anyway, so that’s a 5. The best part however is the atmosphere and service, glasses of ice water brought out unrequested alongside your coffee on a hot day etc, just over and above. Lovely place.

Second time I’ve been here and as much as I have loved the food both times, I’m not a fan of the dog friendly atmosphere. First time we had a dog right next to my feet which was eating a sausage in a Tupperware container but this ended up on the floor and of course, the dog ended up moving the sausage around the floor to eat it. I put it down as a one off. Unfortunately, the second time, the owner of a dog allowed it to sit on the booth seat. The staff didn’t have any qualms about this at all but it totally put me off. Happy to order what I can as take away but won’t be sitting in again.

Fabulous food and coffee in Glasgow’s south side. Just had an amazing avocado smash and awesome flat white (coconut barista milk) here - will be back. Loads of vegan and veggie options, beautifully presented (we scoffed it before we could take a photo) and very friendly owner. Get here before it is stowed oot!

When The Grind House arrived in Pollokshields, it was a welcomed addition to Darnley Street. I'm a regular and there are many reasons why I visit this coffee shop time and time again. Here are just a few: the staff, first and foremost, are so welcoming, friendly and always wearing a smile; the all-day brunch menu which features dishes including (my personal favourite) poached eggs on sourdough with a Portobello mushroom and smashed avocado (pictured); and the decor which is comfortable and stylish. There's a lovely window table as well as booths inside and picnic bench-style seating outside. When you visit, remember to treat yourself and order one of the amazing cakes on display too! They always arrive at the table attractively presented on a slate or plate. I'm looking forward to visiting The Grind House again as it has quickly become my favourite southside coffee shop.

Just found this place today after realising Brambles was shut. Food, coffee and service was great and I'll absolutely be back!

Me and my partner took my niece there today for breakfast, the service was on point, friendly staff and a nice atmosphere and the food was very lovely. I'd highly recommend trying it.

Lovely cafe.. Nice coffee Tea pots was peeling but tea was good Barista/waitress has an attitude problem, good at rolling her eyes and being most unhelpful.. Your busy but try and smile and then you might feel a little happier!

Good food, staff service slow, waited for waitress to come to table for 20 minutes she didn’t bother so ended going to counter to pay. Told her that the breakfast plate had a chip on the edge, not nice l didn’t expect that from this place as it looked nice. On these experiences l wouldn’t go back.

This place is the best. I love the atmosphere, their spinach pie is fantastic and so is their entire breakfast menu.

The grind house is a fantastic cafe. We met the owner and his family. My last visit was on Christmas Eve, there was such an amazing atmosphere and the staff were so friendly, caring and welcoming. I have only been a few times, but every time I have been, it's been the same, which is really nice.

Thanks the grind House for our coffees and cakes too, it was delicious,👌 well done we are so happy and we love to come back every day 😁 thanks again

Best coffee and cake in the Southside

I was looking for the ladies' room and was allowed to use it without being a guest. The place was looking nice and the ladies' room was clean, big and nice.

Coffee was decent, a few major issues though. Tapenade (made with anchovies) is marked as a vegan option, flies crawling over uncovered food and slow service let down what could be a really nice place with a bit of care.

Food and service are very good. Missing an atmosphere but otherwise love the place.

Just had a lovely breakfast. This place is clean, warm, welcoming and calm. Got a fruit smoothie and the smashed avocado and mushroom and it was all fresh and delicious.

Everything is great, fresh tasty food, beautiful selection of treats, nice staff. I would just love a bigger cup and a nicer caramel syrup for my coffee.

Friendly and efficient service, great coffee and authentic Mediterranean fast food. My only criticism is that the pop music is at times so loud as to be intrusive, affecting conversation.
