Beautiful restaurant. Food variety great. I have been three times and have tried most of their starters and main courses and they were all very tasty and beautifully presented. The service was also very good. I would recommend their starters and the trio of dips highly. As for main course the seafood dishes were amazing. I’ll definitely go back again.

One of best restaurant to dine in city centre

The thalli box and tandoori mushrooms are pretty outstanding. We were the only ones in so quiet atmosphere. Could have had a better soundtrack. The waiter was fine n dandy but not super fast considering he had no one else to serve. Overall great value pre there with some nice touches.

I went in with my partner for my birthday and it was beautiful. The food was excellent, service was great too. Food portions were great, we could barely eat all of it. Food and drinks were not overpriced and totally worth the value. We had the pork rib starters, lamb shank, and duck curry mains, with garlic bread and pilau rice sides. I definitely recommend it!

Most amazing fine dining experience I've ever had as a vegan. Partner who eats meat, also had an amazing meal. Can tell the chef has put a lot of time and expertise into flavour balance, combinations, and presentation. Paired wines with each course. Service outstanding. Hung up our coats on arrival and remembered which coats were ours on the way out. Little touches that are hard to find these days. Very attentive staff. Very professional. Chilled atmosphere, with chilled background music. Reasonably priced given the whole experience and care in the food and service. (Only to be picky, but I do like a wee candle on the table and think it would suit the ambience of the place, but that's personal preference).

Trying to give some constructive feedback. Firstly the food was great and the presentation was nice. We booked here because of what looked like a fantastic experience on the website and maybe this set my expectation very high. Couple of smallish things: We ordered drinks and then had to ask for them to come We ordered food and the rice and naan were wrong (we ordered garlic and plain and we received plain and chilli). We ordered a small wine and a large one came. The last thing is the toilets…I felt like I was in a school toilet. It’s very clear there has been no investment in here, the most basic sinks, it felt like a big contrast between the quality of food (£350 for 4) and the quality of the toilets, it jarred. These are small things but they all contribute towards the experience and I hope you take this feedback constructively as it’s intended.

Have wanted to try Swedish for a long time, finally went and was underwhelmed. Initial impressions.. lovely decor, lots of staff and nice atmosphere. Sat down and were asked if we wanted water for the table. Water arrived and then waited a while to be asked what alcoholic/soft drinks we wanted. Ordered two different glasses of white wine, different prices then waited an age again to be asked the food order. Lots of staff buzzing about the restaurant floor too. Ah the floor…the floor is highly polished wood, looks nice but the chair constantly pushing back from the table annoyingly so as the floor was so slippy. Starters arrived, lovely presentation, nice flavours, and best course of the meal. Two fish mains then came out with overcooked fish, mine with the same sauce as my partners starter. Partners monkfish very overcooked, dry and chewy. My own slightly less overcooked but still a bit dry/chewy. Ordered another 2 of the same wines and when placed on the table the waitress indicated what one was what but clear from colour/taste she got them the wrong way round…there was a £4.25 difference in price between them and it wasn’t an issue to swap after a taste of each. Again waited ages for dessert to come out which for £10 each was the most bland tasteless desserts I remember ever having in a restaurant. They looked fab but genuinely parts of one had no flavour at all, the textures weren’t great and the sorbet on one was the smallest amount I’ve seen on a plate..must have used the smallest teaspoon to do the quenelle. I don’t grudge £10 for a dessert at all but I want it to be worth it for flavours not just how it looks. Staff were very pleasant but a level of inattentiveness and misplaced tasking to create the look of the place rather than add to the customer service experience, vibe was nice but as a restaurant underwhelming and overrated. Much better Indian restaurants in the area for flavours, but if you want prettier presentation over substance at a higher price then maybe this is more your place. Also not prone to heartburn but left with it from food that wasn’t overly spiced nor large portioned. Shame wanted to love this place too. Pretty looking place and food, but had better cooking.

Wonderful food, great service and ambience. The swadish is a real hit!

As a home chef and passionate foodie, I've been following Chef Ajay on Facebook for quite some time. His cooking videos, along with the vibrant flavors and spices he uses and the techniques he demonstrates, made me fall in love with his food long before I had the chance to taste it. When I found myself in town, I couldn’t miss the opportunity to experience his cuisine firsthand. I'm delighted to share that the flavors I had imagined from his videos matched the reality perfectly. We tried the Punjabi lamb shank, which was incredibly succulent and paired with a rich, heavenly gravy. The paneer tikka was bursting with flavor, and the Kashmiri lamb chops were infused with mouthwatering spices. However, the gosht rasa arrived cold, which was a bit disappointing. The roe deer korma didn’t quite suit my Punjabi palate, though it may appeal to non-Indian diners. I had the pleasure of meeting Chef Ajay in person, and despite his busy schedule, he graciously took the time to visit our table. His humility is truly admirable. I mentioned that he’s on the path to earning a Michelin star, but he humbly replied that he is still learning. Overall, it was an unforgettable dining experience, and I look forward to seeing Chef Ajay continue to shine.

We ate here last night. I really don’t know why this place is so highly rated. There are better Indian restaurants in Glasgow. Poppadoms were stale and soft with bland chutneys/jams. The mussels starter was pretty tasteless. The monkfish curry & Lamb chettinad were good. The most disappointing part was that they served us caffeinated coffee instead of our decaf order which we only realised after a sleepless night.

Loved everything about Swadish! The appetizers were some of the most unique and interesting ones we have had!

Just back home from a curry here with our friends and had to review straight away. We all thought it was the best curry and experience ever. The Staff were lovely, attentive and very knowledgeable about all the dishes. The food was just devine and all cooked to perfection. We can’t wait to go back again and can thoroughly recommend it to everyone. Thank you

Fabulous dinner guys. A real treat for the eyes as well as delicious food. Cheered us no end after a miserable drive down the A9. Staff were so nice. I've been wanting to dine here for ages and the whole experience was better than hoped. Looking forward to coming back. X

A lovely evening with a fine dining experience the food was delicious although both my pigeon and deer dishes seemed cold compared to the sauces and side dishes etc but not completely unacceptable and it tasted great

Top quality Indian food with a Scottish ingredient twist and fine dining experience. Very well looked after by our excellent waiters and hosts.

I've been fortunate to visit many fine restaurants, some of them even have stars from a well known guide. I had dinner here early May 24, it was a wonderful experience with fantastic food and service. Well worth the 300 mile journey. I hope to return again.

Our first visit to Swadish. What a great experience. We visited on a Friday afternoon so it was quite quiet. The food was excellent. For a two rosette restuarant I expected smaller fine dining portions but the portions are very good. We had it all, pickles and poppadoms followed by three courses. The food is very well spiced, not hot, and tasted delicious. We will definitely return. Highly recommended.

Our visit was a father's day treat from my son. On arrival, the staff could not have been more welcoming. Drinks and water were provided promptly and any queries on the menu were addressed in a friendly and professional way. The poppadom appetiser was the most interesting I've ever seen. Starters were fabulous. Some were more dramatically presented than others but all were very generous and very tasty. Main courses were more of a mixed bag. Everything tasted very nice but the monkfish main looked a little mean compared to the other choices we made. Puddings all looked amazing and everyone agreed they tasted great too. Overall, we had a lovely, unrushed experience and would be very happy to return, especially if someone else is paying! Would have rated this 4.5 stars but sadly it's not an option

My son & I (from Singapore) ate here on 20.6.24, and we thoroughly enjoyed the food, which was tasty, fresh, and had interesting flavours - different from your run-of-the-mill Indian cuisine. We enjoyed the food so much, we just had to speak to the chef/owner, Mr Ajay, who was warm & chatty. Pity we were only in Glasgow for a short time, or we would have dined there again!

Visited for a tasting menu with paired wines. Food and wine was excellent from start to finish and was great value. Service was also really good

Hands down the best Indian restaurant I've eaten in, service food and atmosphere all 5 ⭐, up until now Sindhu was our favourite restaurant but Swaddish has just surpassed it and lately been to Dishoom in Edinburgh and again Swaddish comes out tops, Ajay came out and spoke to us before our desserts and he is an absolute gentleman and incredible chef, will definitely be back and recommend it to everyone I know 👏👏👏 Just visited again last Saturday and again everything was 5 star from food, service and atmosphere can't recommend Swadish highly enough best Indian restaurant I've been to.

Excellent meal. High quality food and great service. Good recommendations and tried a few new dishes. Not the cheapest but certainly was one of the best meals we have had across a lot of Indian restaurants.

The staff are just so lovely. I love it that there's lots of game and fish on the menu and the ambience is just the right mix of lively and relaxed. Thanks for another great night.

Had a really lovely meal, probably the nicest Indian meal I've had to date. The staff were all very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is very very chilled and comfortable.

We had dinner at Swadish on 25/5 We were really turned down!! Butter chicken, daal makhani nowhere even near to authentic delhi/ punjabi style. Overpriced! Fish curry was a disaster! Just running under big name probably! Will not recommend! These guys really need some training on cooking!

The best Indian restaurant ever. The food was delicious more than I expected. I wanted to dine in the next day ,but unfortunately it was closed on Monday and the day after was my flight back home. Definitely, when I visit Glasgow next time I will come back.

Impressed! Came by this as 'highly recommended' from another foodie. Glad I followed up as Swadish really 'got it right'. Smart venue, spot on service and wonderful food. Ajay offers Indian cuisine with a bit of a twist, well prepared, smartly presented and tastes that explode in your mouth! Really good, really enjoyed. Highly recommended, look forward to coming back.

Work in Progress - food was very good and staff were all perfectly nice. However, the service was in reality way off par with the basics like forgetting to bring plates to the table before our starters and taking 15 minutes to take our drinks order. Just not quite what we were expecting

Brilliant experience. Food was outstanding and atmosphere was cosy and relaxed. Staff are attentive but not overbearing and very helpful in helping making choices about which dishes to choose. Absolutely loved it.

Fine dinning at Swadish in Glasgow. A fabulous restaurant. Ajay Kamar is the chef/owner and he has created a truly perfect experience. From the second you walk in the door, you are taken care of - your coats are taken, you are welcomed! Service was excellent, comfort was optimal. Then you get to choose from a beautiful menu full of locally sourced Scottish produce prepared with Indian flavors. It should get more than 5 stars. Dinner was exceptional, delicious and beautifully presented.(Also lots of vegetarian/vegan options.) Timing was very good between courses. Wine pairings are on point. The venue is beautiful, great atmosphere, you can dress casually but you can certainly dress up and feel completely at ease. 1000% recommend for celebrating, entertaining colleagues or clients, or dinner with friends.

We ate at Swadish on a Saturday evening. The food was delicious and all the staff were really friendly and efficient. I particularly recommend the scallop starter - I’m a scallop fan and these were the best I’ve had. Ajay coming out to chat was a lovely touch.

The restaurant is lovely and the food is amazing. Expensive but well worth it. However on this occasion (a special anniversary) the service was very very poor. Left waiting for drinks and a long time between courses. The waiter was very pleasant and possibly it was understaffed although it was during the day and not busy. Would definitely go back for the food though.

Absolutely amazing visit to this restaurant. The welcome was personal and friendly. . The decor , ambience and Atmosphere was so beautiful. Our starters and main meals were exceptional. I have visited so many restaurants around the UK and abroad over the years and hand on heart this restaurant is up there with the best , if not thee best !! The steak was unbelievably amazing, accompanied by a very unique sauce which was also delicious. My wife had the veal and she stated that this was the tastiest she has ever had in her lifetime. The food was out of this world , all 4 starters, main meals and deserts were unbelievably tasty, presentation was exceptional. Our waiter was outstanding, friendly and had great detail on all food served . His knowledge of the food was outstanding. The drinks were also lovely . The owner then took the time out of his busy kitchen to come meet us for a lengthy chat about his business . We had a nice chat about his current menu , all aspects of his business and his plans for the future , what a talented, skilful chef with an incredible personality. Absolute gentleman and was so friendly. Will be certainly be back many times in the future . 100% highly recommend to anyone .

This was my second time coming and was just by luck. We just popped in on a Sunday evening before a concert to see if they could squeeze us in and luckily they could. The food in here is out of this world. If you haven't tried it. You need too. It's deffo in my top 5. And really for what your getting it's very cheap on the wallet.

The restaurant was very nice, the interior was beautiful and it had full of fabulous ambiance. The waiters were very knowledgeable, courteous and very helpful. One of the best services we came across. Then came the menu, very nice items, seasonal produce, sourced in Scotland and with great selection. We were hungry, ordered few from starters and main to taste Ajay’s finest cooking and we did not get disappointed. The poppadom and chutneys were out of this world. So tasty, spiced perfectly, each of them had different tastes, as described in the menu. We appreciated the texture, flavour and freshness of these chutneys. It was also a pleasant surprise to taste millet poppadom! The soft-shell crab was exquisite, the paratha with paneer on chutney, I never tasted a fluffy paneer like this in my life! The fried chicken was perfectly cooked and was moist. The monk fish was plenty with tasty with silky sauce and the dum biriyani came in a bowl with proper dough cover, inside I had aromatic, very tasty Hydrabadi biryani, I felt at home then and there! The puddings were phenomenal. A great Indian fine dining establishment steered by an expert and skilful chef. Fantastic through and through.

Watched the Great British Menu and the attitude of this guy was the absolute worst. Normally everyone is so friendly and works together but this guy was horrid.

Quite simply, the best Indian food we have ever had, anywhere. The lamb shank rogan josh was to die for and my wife had the daal makhni, which was also outstanding.

Really interesting and beautifully cooked food, we particularly enjoyed the fish dishes, certainly way ahead of any Indian food we have ever tasted in the UK, indeed best since Gaggan in Bangkok - and he is rated in top 5 globally by Forbes!

2nd visit and food was as good as I remembered. Lamb chop starter and monkfish main were brilliantly spiced and tasted great. Chutneys were delicious. The staff remembered me from previous visit and had taken on my suggestion and stocked Zero beer. Goto place when I need an Indian fix.

First time here l. Went for our anniversary dinner staff where very attentive got a nice welcome from them food was amazing we had fried chicken starter lamb shank and butter chicken main blue cheese nan and rice got the bubble desert I think that is what it was called so much flavour in each dish very filling lamb fell of the bone honestly out of this world lovely atmosphere and decor fab mocktails very well priced as well. 10 out of 10 from us will definitely be back soon 🙂 17th Feb back at swadish tonight and again never disappointed tried diffrent dishes tonight and well It was out of this world yet again. Had the TELLICHERI FILLET STEAK🤤 was cooked to perfection and the best I have eaten didn't want to use the sauce on the steak it was just so tasty but the sauce was to good so I dipped my potatos in it. Staff where very attentive starter's mains and desserts mocktails where 👌 will hopefully be back soon 🙂

Visited Swadish 3 times now, first time being a massive disappointment, second time the food was cold and I only visited a third time due to recommendations but I still can’t come to like this food. Everything seemed like it was slapped on the plate and I would not recommend this place to anyone with a good palate. Shame.

Just visited Swadish for the second time, and was even more impressed than the first time round. Very high standard of food with and lovely traditional, attentive service. Everything vegetarian on the menu also happens to be vegan and these items were clearly marked. The selection of veggie dishes isn’t huge, but it’s quality not quantity here. All three vegan starters are exceptional. Probably the best Indian food I’ve had. Can also highly recommend the house margarita. Can’t wait to return again soon.

The food was just reasonably good. The service staff were really irritating. We were a large party having good conversation. They kept interrupting to clear and even clean the table when we were still eating. Hated the service.

Delightful and classy restaurant. Food was delicious; my Delhi butter chicken was the best ever, and my husband said the same about his soft-shell crab. The service was also excellent, attentive without being in your face. Highly recommend.

I’m disappointed I have to say. Lots of great reviews but perhaps a case of style over substance. Presentation was great and staff friendly and professional. Fancy names for meals that were standard dishes. Biryani looked great but sauce was hot and lacked taste. Partner enjoyed her fish curry. I was, I guess expecting something like Kai Kai in Newcastle for the prices. Not in the same league though Kai Kai is in a league of its own. Will try elsewhere next time. Shame.

Polite and very welcoming staff..

I went to this place to celebrate my wife's birthday along with my few friends. The ambience of the restaurant is so classy and elegant. Limited options for the vegetarian dishes but all are so good. The presentation of all dishes is so unique and it tastes so delicious. They've got many options for drinks as well. The staff is so cheerful and easily approachable. Perfect location for a particular occasion. I really had a good time at this place. Thank you so much team Swadish.

Best dinner of the year! All the dishes that came out of the kitchen outdid one another: for starter, the paneer posed in a mint coulis was delicious and light; the main was the dahl with naam and raita: the spices were subtle rather than overwhelming. Last but not least was the refined panna cotta that closed the evening with elegance and flavour. A place to return to.

A lovely early dinner,starters scallops, pigeon, mains were Rowe deer with pear and a korma style sauce,,Monkfish Goan curry..

Really nice restaurant it really is something different was a wee bit of a struggle with menu but staff kindly recommend dishes which were very tasty the staff were excellent with service. This is not your usual Indian food so well worth a try you'll be surprised

Lovely surroundings with no pressure from staff to hurry you or constantly ask if you want more drinks which made us all feel relaxed. Staff are very pleasant . Food is delicious , not just a standard Indian restaurant, the flavours were jumping out and not killed by spice. The lamb fell off the bone, exactly how lamb should be. . Prices were very reasonable for fine dining, the location is great too.
