Fine dining in a great atmosphere. Everything we ate or drank at Glaschu was delicious. We started with Octopus Carpaccio. Then, I had 3 Bone Rack of Lamb for my main cooked perfectly and served just the right way. My wife and I really enjoyed this, our first meal, in Glasgow while on holiday. Our server Gracee was a wonderful, friendly and efficient server. She helped make the evening perfect.

Terrible experience. I'm never going back. Ordered at 6.30. Took them 90mins to have my order ready, after being told only 15mins. And when I got home my order was totally wrong. Completely ruined my dinner. I ordered 2 lamb burger n chips, plus 1 large chicken kebab n chips. I got 2 lamb burgers plus a donner kebab.

Edit: been back several times since my first visit and it’s always, always good. My first choice for huge portions of tasty scrans. ———————————— Loved it - service was great (was the guy’s first night working FOH too), food is banging, tunes are excellent. It was freezing every time someone came through the door - but that’s what happens when you visit on a -1C day. Decor is sparse but characterful - don’t come expecting luxury, this place is all about the food. We got 2 burgers, mozzarella sticks (with Cheetos crumb!), poutine and chicken tenders. All pretty solid portions, too much for us to eat (which is saying something). Everything is delicious. We will return, for the mozzarella sticks alone. Love that this is in the east end - can you open another branch in Baillieston, pls and thx 😂

We tried the market menu for lunch. The place was empty when we went, so the service was very fast. The employees were very knowledgeable about the menu and were very helpful when ordering. We experienced incredible flavors and the quality of the ingredients was quite high, and the prices were quite reasonable within the lunch menu. However, the dishes were a bit salty. If you have a salt sensitivity, definitely ask the employees. I definitely recommend it to everyone. Thank you.🙏🏻

I had a great experience at Basta, the restaurant itself is easy to find at the bottom of Dumbarton Road and has a lovely interior, full of character which makes it a great place to eat. The pizza was well cooked, with a good sugo and had generous toppings. We went for option 2 (tomatoes, artichoke, pesto and peppers) and option 5 (olives and capers sans chovies). To drink we went for two bottles of estrella. I felt the food was reasonably priced with good, quick service. My only thought was the atmosphere was slightly lacking as we were only customers in, but this isn’t the fault of the restaurant. The Neapolitan pizza market in glasgow is very competitive due to the popularity of Paesano, but I’d urge anyone to give Basta a shot as it’s up there quality and flavour wise. I always like to support local businesses and will definitely be back!

This was like Christmas presents for food with every present the best you've ever had. We dined on the tasting menu and frankly it was the best meal we have ever had. All the staff were welcoming , knowledgeable and generous. A wee mention to Tracy who personalised our experience. It was for our 25th anniversary and we felt so special. Bravo.
