The Wilson Street Pantry in Glasgow City

My husband and i went here whilst staying in Glasgow. We had booked previously and pleased we did as they were turning people away. I had a bacon sandwich and he had salmon and avocado and cream cheese on sourdough bread. He had a lemon drizzle cake and I got a scone to take away. When i opened it i saw they had included cream and jam snd knives so was well impressed. Recommended but please book.

Vinimos aqui por las referencias en tripadvisor y fue un acierto total. Totalmente recomendable para aquellos que quieran desayunar tipo tostada con huevo frito, poche o recuelto, aguacate, salchichas, bacon…etc Se nota calidad de la materia prima. Tambien hacen brunchs, recomendacion el sitio no es muy grande y se llena rapido o ir nada mas que habran o hacer reserva por la web.

Loved our visit to this place! Menu had a lovely selection - we all enjoyed our food which was delicious and the staff were so friendly and professional. Would 100% recommend

The breakfast room at the Premier Inn was closed for building work, so my daughter recommended the Wilson Street Pantry to us, just a 5 minute walk down the hill from the hotel. What an excellent choice! The breakfast special was so tasty, made from all fresh ingredients and served with a smile. There was sourdough bread, spicy pumpkin, & a bunch of other super ingredients, too many to remember. Excellent!

One of the most beautiful and best breakfast restaurants in Glasgow. The area where the restaurant is located is elegant and has a shopping place. The menu is varied The food is delicious and the quantity is good The coffee I took with me was delicious The service is excellent and the staff are very friendly Prices are average

Genuinely some of the best breakfast food I've ever had, the eggs royale were to die for and the pulled beef roll was unbelievable

Everything on the menu sounded delicious. I went for the avocado on sourdough with kimchi and feta and my partner had the Nduja eggs Benedict. We thoroughly enjoyed everything and will be going back!

The breakfast avocado toast was so yummy. My friend and I both added whipped feta and poached eggs on top. Delicious coffee and tea too!

Walked a mile to try the benedicts which did NOT disappoint! Best cold smoked salmon benedict (Royale Benny) that I’ve had! Worth the visit!

The BEST coeliac breakfast I’ve had. A taste sensation, great veggie and meat options. 10/10 no notes. The staff were familiar with coeliac disease and explained which items wouldn’t be suitable (only one!) the food took a little longer to accommodate the separation needed in the kitchen and this just made me more secure they were taking it seriously.

So good we went twice on a 4 day city break! Fantastic set up - well run brunch spot, great choice of options affordable and really tasty. Staff are very attentive and great customer service.

My daughter and I were fortunate to get a table without a booking—thanks to a couple of no-shows. Shortly after we arrived, other customers were politely turned away as the place filled up quickly. The menu offered plenty of tempting options. We considered the blackboard special of Hot Smoked Salmon and Caper Mousse (£13) but opted instead for French Toast with maple syrup and bacon (£10.50) and Scrambled Eggs on sourdough toast (£7), with additional sausages (£3) and halloumi (£3). For drinks, we chose tea, which arrived in individual teapots accompanied by a charming small glass bottle of milk. Service was polite and efficient. The toilets, though located down a slightly intimidating flight of corrugated stairs, were clean. The scrambled eggs had a firm texture while still tasting buttery and creamy—described by my daughter as the best she’d ever tasted, though she admitted she doesn't usually like scrambled eggs and rarely eats them. (Had I not been enjoying my food so much, this slight against my cooking might have sent me into a depression.) The sausages and halloumi were tasty additions, though the portion size was already generous, so the scrambled eggs alone would have been sufficient. The French toast was also enjoyed, though it, along with the bacon, was a bit too crispy for our liking. Thankfully, the maple syrup helped to soften things up. It was a large plate of food, more than enough to fuel us for a long day ahead. **Verdict:** A great breakfast option. I would be a firm regular if I lived closer to Wilson Street Pantry.

Had very high hopes for this spot! Average on delivery and unfortunately service left a bad feeling with me- the hostess for brunch this morning was not very nice or welcoming and my coffee was spilt upon presenting it at my table… just disappointing. Won’t be back in a hurry but I guess as a tourist they haven’t lost much themselves except tainted my view of the Glasgow brunch experience!😅😔

I got the mushrooms Benedict without spinach. It was SO GOOD! The soup was great too. It was nice to sit outside & have such amazing food.

My favourite place to eat breakfast in Merchant City. I highly recommend the special; out of all the times I order this, I’ve never had the same one twice and it is always a delicious flavour combination and the eggs are perfectly poached. The staff bring you over water when seated and they are all very kind and helpful. The atmosphere inside is very pleasant. Make sure to book a table in advance as it is usually busy here.

A must for all brunch lovers! Conveniently situated in the heart of Merchant City capturing the real image of chilled out cafe with delicious menu and high quality coffee. It may get overcrowded at times and there are a couple of tables outside as well. Staff very attentive and kind.

Small bar restaurant located a few steps from the center. Seating also outside. Young and very friendly staff. Typical Scottish, they serve coffee, cappuccino etc, also ideal for a snack. We tasted both eggs with salmon and scrambled eggs with mushrooms, we liked everything, the prices are not exaggerated.

Popped in for a coffee, ordered politely, was seated, sat for ages whilst noticing the staff checking if we were still there.. After 15 minutes we left. Place was quiet at the time. Not sure what we did wrong 😂

There’s a reason why reservations are suggested. Great service with a smile. I had the special: pulled pork, chipotle cream cheese & mango salsa w/feta, avocado chili oil and fried egg on sourdough. Followed up with carrot cake. Incredible.

My daughter and I visited the Wilson Street Pantry for brunch. It was one of the few dry days we have had recently, so we sat at a table outside. There was a lovely , relaxed atmosphere. The menu had a good variety, with a few vegetarian options. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend ☺

everything we ordered was worth it which is eggs benedict with spinach and mushroom/ sourdough whipped riccota and honey/ sourdough avocado and feta with kimchi and the sandwich avocado with cheese except banana loaf was below average

Perfect place for a breakfast here in Glasgow. Sourdough was excellent, scrambled egg, smoked salmon and bloomer loaf toast was also excellent. Staff friendly, polite and professional. All in all a great experience.

Outstanding breakfast and service. Coffee really smooth. We both had the special which was sour dough toast, avocado, whipped lemon feta, hot smoked salmon, toasted almonds and poached eggs. Delicious! Booked a table about 40 minutes before arriving which was good as a busy wee place.

Great café. Very tasty food and nice staff. It was refreshing to have some greenery with my lunch. I went for the special of the day; Hot smoked salmon with lemon and dill creme fraiche, crispy kale and capers with poached eggs on sourdough. I followed it up with a slice of warm banana and dark chocolate cake with mascapone. Delish 😋

As a tourist, I really enjoyed their eggs benedict for lunch! Not only their presentation stunning, but it is also really tasty! Definitely one of the best eggs benedict toast I have ever had!

really badly laid out, the staff are so rude too. there seems to be so much on offer food wise, but i’m not sure why a bog standard full scottish isn’t on offer when you have all the bits available? you have to order bit by bit which makes it all expensive. sausages hard and bacon just too thick. could do with changing their suppliers.

Absolutely lovely spot, came in a few days in a row and every staff member was friendly and service was incredibly fast. Food was phenomenal and coffee was great, especially for the prices. Best eggs benny I've had! 10/10 will be back!

My favorite place for brunch ever! I’ve been there at least 3 times a month 😂. Highly recommend the French Toast with berries and Egg Benny, black pudding, and bacon! It’s advisable to book a table in advance to avoid disappointment as they are always busy.

No secret as to why this place is so popular: amazing food at reasonable price for city centre location, and the staff are great! The Eggs Benny (Veggie version with halloumi, avocado, tomato and crispy onions) was fantastic!

I can only recommend this place! The staff were amazing—very friendly and polite. Although I had to wait for a table, it was only for 15 minutes. I ordered the avocado toast with scrambled eggs, and I can safely say it was the best toast I’ve ever had. The oil they put on the avocado is simply amazing! The atmosphere was also great.

Amazing place to go for brunch, remember to book first, if you don’t it’s very likely they’ll rush you, apart from that all good, I would recommend the toastie with eggs and beacon.

Great place for breakfast/brunch. I had the French toast with bacon, which was delicious. Service was good, great vibe. My only complaint is that they put too much ice in my apple juice, which isn’t a complaint more of a preference.

A great little find in this big city. A good brekkie is hard to find, but this unfussy, easy going place is a must. The coffee is mmmm, and the food we had tasted fresh and delicious, and for less than £15 each it was well worth the money. Please, please go visit this place and support a great little eatery. Loved it. Highly recommend.

Iced vanilla matcha: it’s the special drink on that day! It’s good and refreshing, highly recommended :) Wild mushroom florentine: amazing! Love this one. The special apricot cake is simply okay, strong almond feeling that I don’t quite like. It’s always really busy and noisy and not quite good service, but worth coming for their goods

Lovely cafe and lovely staff. They know their stuff about coeliacs and also cross contamination! We were asked if anyone was coeliacs then advised not to have the French toast due to how it is cooked.

Lovely spot! We walked in with a pram and we were lucky and able to get a table straight away on a Monday at 1pm. We ordered the veggie Benny and added hash browns and black pudding, it was amazing!! Friendly, quick, and attentive staff.

Food was insane, we had the special and everything tasted fresh. Would advise booking as it’s always full, inside can be a little noisy too, but that’s expected. Staff are super friendly and the service is surprisingly quick with how packed they are.

Food was fantastic, 9.00am reservation, got there 10 mins early on a very cold March morning, “sorry can’t come in, not open yet” was the response , standing out in the cold was not customer friendly and not the best start to the day, however my Eggs Benedict with Stornaway black pudding was simply delicious

I visited for breakfast at the recommendation of a local friend. The food was delicious in the open kitchen and the staff was friendly. All the food was delicious, especially the soup, which had the right thickness for dipping with sourdough!

Very beautiful place for brunch, which explains why it's always difficult to find a table. However, although the food is tasty the portions are quite small compared to other brunch places and you need to add from the extras to complete.

Really like the WSP for a breakfast or brunch. Bright clean and informal, it does a good selection of well prepared healthy, hearty and filling meals at reasonable prices. The poached eggs with chirizo, jalapeño salsa and sourdough toast this week was fabulous. For me the only downside is a lack of space when busy. The tables are very close together. However, well worth a visit.

Food and service was great, but the salt and pepper containers are absolutely disgusting thankfully we did need to use them.

First time here after a Google of best breakfast in Glasgow. Absolutely right too, great service, the food was absolutely beautiful. The poached eggs are ridiculously good!!! Definitely be back, the barista is super cute too lol. 10/10

Can't understand the 1 star reviews. Service was great, food was INCREDIBLE (I would never have thought to pair slowcooked lamb with eggs Benedict, but it works!). We had pre-booked a table and they had made sure that a highchair was ready as requested.

Spacious, but gets busy as soon as they are open. Friendly, accommodating and attentive staff The place is warm. And I appreciate it when cafes don’t let their customers freeze. Coffee was just ok. Eggs with mushrooms and spinach - flavorful and eggs were perfectly poached. French toast - generous portion. it was good and I wouldn’t mind ordering it again. Few things to note : (1) it is not a brioche French toast. (2) it is thinly sliced. (3) as served it will be crispy from the out side and moist from the inside. (4) as it cooldown it becomes chewy and rubbery from the inside due to using egg white in the mixture, if they only use egg yolks it would’ve been less rubbery. But it does taste good overall.

Polished interiors, cool atmosphere, pinpointed music together with excellent food quality makes this place a gem we had the pleasure to discover. Staff was authentically kind and ready to help. We had a great brunch and we shall indeed be back.

Love the french toast from here, I get it every time and the coffees are lovely as well! Staff are always super nice! If you know when you want to go I'd defo book a table to avoid disappointment. Dogs are welcome as well which is great.

Great service with some lovely staff. Coffee was very good. Food was fine, quite acceptable if the menu is a little limited. The portion of gluten free bread was a single slice and too small and I left stinking of cooking smells. And not in a good way.

Got in at 2nd time of trying, was worth the wait as the food was nice, well presented and at a good temperature, quick service and a good atmosphere in there.

From walking in the door, to leaving after a fabulous brunch, this was an excellent experience. Highly recommended.
