Fantastic family ran business which make amazing cakes, cant recommended the birthday cakes enough.

I picked up my Trickle Cake on Saturday and my wife's birthday was on Tuesday. The cake was spectacular and I cannot praise the quality and presentation enough. I will return and tell my friends. Gordon Gray

I bought an Itison voucher for the Cake Gallery. I ordered cakes and waited for a time and date for collection. This never transpired. When I enquired when my cakes would be ready for collection, I was told that the cakes had been thrown out and the offer was now closed! Thankfully, Itison reimbursed me as they agreed I wasn't informed that the cakes were ready for collection.

Ordered this cake for a 70th! Vanilla, jam and cream filling with the most fluffy, light sponge. Nothing but good reviews from everyone who had a slice. Would definitely buy from here again. Fab!

Absolutely brilliant bakers. We regularly buy cakes from here and they are always well made and tasty. She is the sole baker and she trained at the Doe School - and it shows, as the cakes really are fantastic. With Bradford's at Broomhill having closed years ago, this shop is definitely it's successor. Be warned though, if you want to order a wedding cake from here you will need to do so well in advance, as her baking skills are in constant demand! If you like cakes and want to give your business to somewhere different, but exceptional, then I definitely recommend here.

I I ordered a cake for my nephew who is new in the UAE, and was not sure if this would go smoothly as I live abroad, but I was surprised by the quick response to begin with, and the very polite people who chatted with me and they made everything so simple. The price was reasonable, the delivery was on time and the cake was absolutely 💯 beautifull and elegant. Well done to you all, you all deserve the 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

Another stupendously good cake by Louise for my husband’s 50th. What a talent! Managed to make a replica of an IT symbol which he totally got and appreciated. Tasted awesome too!

This is my go to place for family birthday cakes. Freshly baked cakes with a personal touch incorporated into the designs. Lovely homemade selection of cakes on display in the shop also. Thoroughly recommend.

I ordered a cake for my wifes birthday last week at very short notice. Louise was really helpful and we placed an order over the phone. The cake was picked up within two days and it was absolutely beautifully presented. Excellent feedback from all that tried the cake and we will certainly be back - thanks Louise!

Picked up a drip cake and 6 cupcakes from here after receiving an itison voucher! Gave a few ideas to work from and Louise did not fail to deliver! Cake looked fantastic and tasted delicious!

Another amazing creation by Louise in my son’s ‘Fortnite’ birthday cake for his 9th birthday party. Louise is ‘down with the kids’ and knows all the latest themes and fads and did this brilliant cake for us. She has her IPAD handy for making sure you can decide exactly what you want replicated.My son was over the moon and it was melt in the mouth too. Thank you!

I purchased cupcakes via Groupon for my daughter’s birthday. I order in store before Christmas, and the lady agreed collection on 28/12. The cakes on display looked and smelled delicious, and the lady was helpful. We went to collect them on the agreed date (during opening hours), to find the shutters down & front door locked. There were lights on & the outer door was open, but no one answered repeated knocking or phone calls. I was frantic. The sign shown on the attached picture was in the window. “Due to illness the shop will only be open for collections 12-4 Friday 29th 12-4 Saturday 30th. Sorry for any convenience (sic).” So we were cakeless, and en route to our 10yo’s party. Luckily there is an M&S nearby, so we purchased an emergency replacement. It has taken nearly 2 weeks to get a refund for the cupcakes, mainly because The Cake Gallery has (reportedly) claimed that I have received the cakes. My daughter is a sweet kid, and understands that things go wrong. We were able to get her another cake with zero notice. So the disaster was averted. Others may not be so lucky. With a fair amount of stress & insistence, I finally got my money back from Groupon. I post this review not as revenge - simply to warn others considering it that The Cake Gallery let my family down badly, and the same could happen to you.

Went in on a Tuesday to get a cake for my wife's birthday party , which was On the Saturday. Wasn't a problem. Went through the ideas I had and what type of cake it was to be. Cake very well presented, looked better that expected and tested great. Is a bit more expensive than buying an off the shelf cake, but then you get a personalised cake for the wow factor. I will be back for any other big occasions that require a cake.

I had purchased a groupon voucher for this bakery and went to redeem it, only to be met with the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The owner was rude and verging on aggressive.. I will be contacting groupon for a refund.

Fantastic service wide range of t time cakes all made in shop and homemade jams and fudge. Pineapple tarts not to be missed great shop.

The lady at the cake gallery is fantastic! She managed to make a perfect and great tasting cake from limited instruction. I also got the date wrong for collection and she was able to save the day by making it a day early for me

I have bought cupcakes twice from here for A Family get together on a groupon deal and they are very well decorated and taste absolutely delicious. As long as you give them 4 days notice, it'll be ready to be picked up once ordered by telephone. Staff are helpful over the phone. All my family and me loved them and iv all ready out my next order for Christmas is as they go down a treat.

I ordered my Gran's 80th birthday cake and they did an amazing job I asked for a bingo themed cake and I got exactly what I wanted looked a amazing and tasted great and it was a very fair price. The pineapple tarts are also to die for couldn't recommend this place enough.

I ordered my daughter's 21st birthday cake. I knew I wanted a Phantom of the Opera theme but didn't really know what I wanted the cake to look like. What I got way surpassed anything I expected. The cake looked amazing, tasted delicious and was a very reasonable price. Needles to say she is making my youngest daughters cake too. Watch this space.
