Amazing Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan. I wasn’t sure about getting Indian food in Glasglow, Scotland, but it was wonderful…hot, fresh and flavorful!!! The service was great. I only did 3 star on atmosphere…I did pickup, not dine in. Location was a little small, yet cozy :-)

We had a family birthday dinner at the Curry Cottage and it did not disappoint. Great service from very patient staff with a noisy family crowd who could not make up their minds on what to order. 😂 Quick and very pleasant service with big smiles from everyone and amazing food. I had the aubergine fritters and they were absolutely delicious. My chicken tikka masala was just the right side of spicy and there was plenty to share with my greedy husband. Definitely going back to try a few other dishes. Don't be slow, get up and go!! 😁

Are you in Glasgow? Are you looking for the perfect balance of adventure AND a taste of home? Most importantly: are you hungry? Look no further than Curry Cottage. My sister and I visited on a girl’s trip. The chili paneer starter was crispy, salty, sweet, and won best dish for us. Huge portions. Our mains were a delight. The lamb bhoona was perfectly spiced and hearty enough to drive away the Glasgow drizzle. My sister’s aloo saag fulfilled our craving for veg, offering earthy, savory, and herbal notes. The plate was complimented by fluffy, flavorful garlic naan, brought hot to our table with a smile. And now, to the main event….Curry Cottage is not about food. Yes, the food is amazing, the best Indian food in Scotland, maybe ever. But the service is the real draw. Neggi and his staff were some of the kindest folks we encountered on our trip to Scotland. It felt like having dinner at your favorite uncle’s kitchen table. With all that Scotland has to offer, this was still a highlight. It made the trip. Thank you for a lovely dinner, Curry cottage. We can’t wait to come back!!

Con artist - Avoid I ordered pakora: The waiter encouraged me to order a main as well; to get the £10.95 lunch deal - so I did. Afterward, I got a bill for £23.35 because the main I ordered was not included in the lunch deal - the guy did not communicate that part. This review would have been 5 stars if he had not conned me. I would have also been back regularly had this not happened: Not now. All he had to do was inform me of my choice, by telling me or showing me the lunch menu. Otherwise a lovely, presentable, quiet restaurant, which created a good atmosphere (minus the old couple's conversation about all the wrongs in the world). Pakora was nice. Rice and okra main were small, especially for the price that was charged. Okra dish was oily. *Update: How I was feeling (health-wise) for the rest of the day suggests that the food here had a very high amount of cane sugar added to it.

Cosy little place run by a couple. Not an extensive menu, and food was freshly cooked with plenty for vegetarians. Freshest starters ever, and tasty - like home-cooked meals. Service might be a bit slower when busy, and worth waiting for the attention and delight when the food is appreciated - which we could hear from others too. Tucked away on Cambridge St but easily accessed by public transport so convenient for town and local theatres. Set lunch and pre-theatre menus offer good price deals too. Definitely going back.

Came here for a meal before the theatre and to make use of the discount cineworld offers here. The food was honestly very nice and the atmosphere was pleasant. The staff also were pleasant but the best way to describe our experience was “odd”. The service took a long time, which is fine as there were customers there at the same time and I got the impression it was just one person serving everyone, but when the server spilled something at our table / on the jacket of the person next to us and on the floor, they didn’t seem particularly eager to clean it up properly. They came back with napkins and sort of half cleaned the table with them but not the jacket or the floor so I had to manoeuvre my way out the table to leave and the person next to us had to use their napkins to clean their jacket too (thankfully was sauce resistant). I got sauce on my trousers, phone and shirt sleeve as a result of this. The server did seem apologetic but I thought it was an odd lack of urgency to clean everything. Then, when we asked to pay, it took something like 20 minutes for the server to come to us with the bill because he was setting empty tables around us. We asked a second time and he kept setting the empty tables, which was also odd (especially as there was still sauce on our table). Otherwise the experience was fine - we were just there a long time.

Came here with my husband with a Groupon voucher that was allegedly worth £50. We were booked in for 12pm however when we arrived the restaurant was closed with no lights on. Around 5 minutes later, a lady arrived to open the door (we later found out this was the owners wife). We were made to feel unwelcome from entering until leaving, the lady couldn’t make it anymore obvious that she didn’t want to be there never mind having a customer facing role. She couldn’t even be bothered to bring the cutlery that was required for our 2 course meal, eventually her husband brought them (in all fairness, he seemed to do everything including cooking). It took around 40-45 mins for the starters to arrive chicken pakora & vegetable samosa (it was tiny- see pics) and both tasted bland. At least 4 times, I noticed the lady looking at our empty starter plates, but nothing was removed from the table. There was ourselves (couple) and one other couple in the restaurant so being busy wasn’t the excuse. The mains- garlic chicken & lamb aloo were both watery, tasteless and tiny portions; I was beginning to think we’d mistakenly ordered from the children’s menu. Needless to say that we won’t be back, there’s much better on offer in Glasgow. If soulless, tasteless Indian food is your thing- you might just like it here!

So we visit Glasgow regularly every 6 weeks from Liverpool, and we always try and find new places to eat when we visit. The curry cottage was this visit hit. Sitting just one or 2 minutes from Sauchiehall Street, what I think may be Glasgows china town district, sat this little family run restaurant. Small menu, but all the choices you would need from Karahi to tikas to Naga. We had chicken pepper pakoras and hagis pakoras which were dee lish followed by Keema Aloo which is lamb mince potatoes and spinach which is in an extremely tasty aromatic curry sauce and a Butter chicken which was so so tasty accompanied with Pilau rice and 2 Roti breads. The service was very personalised by the chef 👨🍳 and lovely lady. Great prices too, considering the quality of meals service and cleanliness of this little Glasgow gem. All in all, I highly recommend a visit .

5 stars given for the exceptional food 5 stars given for the wonderful service I’ve only given 3 stars for the atmosphere but to be fair we visited at 6pm on a wet miserable Tuesday night when most places in Glasgow would also be very quiet………and so what? We were here for the superb Indian food!!!! Anybody that enjoys their Indian food should pay a visit to this crackin’ little homely restaurant at the top of Glasgows city centre (very close to the many theatres, cinema and shopping areas). It is owned by the chef and his wife and they make a wonderful team!!! His cooking is THE best and her service is freindly and warming. I can personally recommend lamb karahi and chicken korma but I’ll steadily be working my way through the menu for sure! Negi was once the chef of the once very popular Indian restaurant (just around the corner) at the bottom of Buccleuch St. - I’d imagine the customers have now followed him to his own restaurant. Wise moves!!!! Anyway, do yourselves (and your tastebuds) a favour and pop in for an incredibly tasty Indian meal and thank me later for the encouragement 👍🏼

Brilliant Indian restaurant. Authentic! Superb tasty food (especially the lamb karahi dish). I’ve actually known the chef for a good number of years as he worked in another restaurant and at his period of working there it was a very popular place and my ‘go to’ for Indian food. He now owns and cooks in The Curry Corner in Glasgow and I would wholeheartedly recommend anyone to pay it a visit. Moderate prices and very friendly and experienced staff. What’s not to like!!!! Our starters (chicken pepper fry & ginger fish pakora) and mains (lamb karahi, king prawn curry) were perhaps the best Indian dishes we’ve had and we were looking forward to our dessert to finish off what had been an excellent meal. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. We both had gulab jamun with ice cream - one tiny doughnut tasting of nothing in particular with 2 scoops of bland ice cream - what a let down. TLDR summary: Brilliant service, delicious food, and (much to my surprise) low prices - 5/5. Full review: Tonight marks the final night of my six-day holiday, spanning three Scottish cities, where I've dined out for every meal. Curry Cottage has undoubtedly been the highlight of my culinary journey and served me the perfect farewell from Scotland. Out of all the restaurants I visited during this holiday, none surpassed the exceptional food, impeccable service, and affordability of Curry Cottage. They truly earned every penny of the well-deserved tip I left. The warm and welcoming hospitality at Curry Cottage made dining there feel less like eating out and more like visiting family. As a descendant of the Indian subcontinent, I can confidently certify this restaurant's authenticity in Indian cuisine. I recommend Curry Cottage to anyone dining out in Glasgow, especially if you're staying at the Hilton Hotel across the street like I am. Believe me, it outshines the hotel restaurant in every aspect.

Really disappointing. I thought the reviews and the food would live up to the hype but I'm honestly confused. Everything was very greasy. We had the chicken pakora which was greasy and didn't taste of much. However, the quality of the chicken was good. The nann wasn't nice, bland and very doughy. The two curries both were chicken but had two different types of chicken? Curries were okay at best Would not return. We both rated it a 4/10. Very disappointing :(
