Staff were so welcoming and friendly - great breakfast

Terrible. What a waste of money - dreadful. The staff need some training in customer service. Waited ages for everything and it was not even busy. Absolutely appalling attitudes. Everything seemed one big effort to them. Coffee was dire, food was average to say the least. Altogether not a pleasant experience. Dire.

We were Introduced to Tibo Bistro by two great Local Friends and as they'd suggested - it didn't disappoint. Great location, chilled vibe, lovely staff, welcoming atmosphere and of course - great food. Although We aren't from the area, we'll be back 👌🏼

Went a few times when visiting my mum - brilliant place and highly recommended. I just had the few toast with maple and bacon and it was top notch. Would recommend and will go again. 👍🏼

We visited this morning for Sunday brunch. We waited to be seen, as the sign at the entrance clearly requests. Although there was a ‘miscommunication’ with my husband and the timing of our booking (we arrived 30 minutes later than they expected us) we were met with a gracious host and good humour. We apologised for the confusion and were reassured with a very friendly manner and accommodated straight away. Service was great and each member of staff we encountered were fun, playful and a little tongue-in-cheek about our punctuality 😁 The food was amazing, we all had the Full Scottish Breakfast, each element was very tasty, nothing to fault, as our empty plates reflected. We would definitely return and will recommend to friends and family. My hurly burly husband particularly liked drinking tea from the dainty tea cup 😉 Thank you for a very enjoyable and entertaining dining experience!

Stay clear! What a rude outfit. I was meeting a friend and went in and sat at a table. A guy appeared and I was expecting him to show me a lunch menu or take an order. Only to be brusquely told - "you do NOT just walk in here and SIT DOWN! You have to see someone at the desk when you come in." I was flabbergasted and thought - he cant be serious - this is a cafe! I said I am meeting someone here and he then rudely said, "Well, DO you have a booking!" (The place was empty - it was lunchtime). I then said, " I don't know that and I also don't know you cannot just come in and sit down. Also that I find your manner tone and manner very rude". I got up and said you have just lost business. Take your custom and money elsewhere - this rude lot do not deserve a penny. Outrageous treatment of a customer.

Great food and great service highly recommend.

The Vegan Breakfast was the best I’ve had to date, the sourdough bread was a nice surprise. My wife had the fish and chips and complimented them highly. The service was impeccable and the background music was enjoyable. We will definitely be visiting again !!

4 friends went on a busy Sunday afternoon so expected a wait but it felt very disorganised. Staff appeared stressed and after sitting us we were told there’d be a wait to take our order however a table of 5 were then sat and had their orders taken straight away. Overall we waited an hour and 15 minutes from being sat to getting our food. Not quite what we expected as had heard good things.

why state that you are open till 5 when you’re shutting at 16:40? only wanted a coffee n staff obviously couldn’t be bothered so said “we’re shutting” when you are clearly open. not the usual tibo service

We've gone here for lunch several times and it's always been great.

One of our favourite spots in the East End. The brunch menu is amazing but we’ve also been in for dinner and drinks and the food is always delicious. The staff are all really friendly too, they always try to accommodate you even if you don’t have a booking. Highly recommend.

Friendly staff. Coffee tastes great. My current favourite on duke street. Food was yummy, not a huge fan of the toastie we got as the bread significantly out proportioned the filling, but will try again!! The eggs were delicious. 🤩 Definitely recommend.

Lovely lunch, great relaxed vibe. Great range of food for vegans and non-vegans. Dog friendly but also considerate of those who may not like dogs. Can’t fault it at all. Fab, well done!

We visited today and will definitely return. We received a warm welcome, and lovely service from all of the staff. The coffee was very good, and the food was hot and tasty. Usman was a real gentleman, and was great with my father in law. Thank you all for a lovely visit.

Came to Tibo for some Sunday lunch and we were so impressed and can't wait to come back. We were greeted by the loveliest member of staff (I didn't get his name but tall and blonde!) Who got us seated even though they were very busy. The service was so welcoming and there was alot of choice for food, brunch and coffee and drinks. The food was top quality and tasted lovingly homemade. The east end is the place to be for cute lunch spots. 😍

First time visiting this place…Travelled over an hour just to try it out and we were definitely not disappointed. Lovely place with delicious food and great service. Such lovely and friendly staff. Defo check this place out.

French toast maple syrup cured bacon. What can I say, tres bon. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend, the fish & chips looked lovely as well.

Popped in here yesterday morning for a breakfast. Brilliant service, food blew me away. Chef looked like a younger Tom kitchen, but fantastic food came out from his kitchen. Be back the next time we're visiting.

Fabulous butter chicken special and amazing service!!

I have recently moved to Dennistoun and happened to stumble upon this cafe a couple of weeks ago. I’ve been a couple of times now and not only is the service great but the coffee is outstanding, and today I tried a special butter chicken curry that they had on and I can honestly say it’s some of the nicest food I’ve had in Glasgow. Definitely would recommend to anyone in the area.

I had ordered delivery from here a few times and it was always really good quality. Decided to go in to the place and wish I had earlier. The staff are so nice and great chat and it’s a really nice venue. Would be great to see more places like this open in Dennistoun.

Nice coffee and good customer service

First time in Tibo I have been with some friends and I can say I was a bit disappointed first it was one guy that he was a bit rude and we told him we waiting 2 more people to join us and he seems not happy about that .. then another guy came that he was more polite but a bit cheeky.. the food came out quite fast but the best was overtoasted I couldn’t cut it even with my knife it was average, the prosciutto it was also solid then I ask for Tabasco and at the end I saw on my bill 0.40£ for Tabasco that I use 2 drops what a joke .. and the answer I got it was we need to pay for everything as the prices increased two streets down Mesa has Tabasco on a table and the quality of the food it’s much better without any extra hidden costs . I would not be back. Disappointing

Breakfast here is always a hit! The service is brilliant and the owner is always really nice and chatty. Love the loaded friends and the burgers are delicious. Cant wait to be back!

We were fortunate enough to get a seat on a very business Sunday morning hoping to have a brunch that could wipe the memories of a very disappointing dinner in town the night the before. My girlfriend had the full Scottish breakfast while I had the stornoway stack and both were incredibly tasty. The quality of the black pudding and the haggis across both breakfasts were great and however the mushrooms were cooked for my girlfriends breakfast was very tasty. Good coffee and a solid Bloody Mary all for a very pleasant and reasonable price. Will be visiting again without a doubt. Friendly service as well.

Don't pass this great Duke Street cafe. It's got it all. Fantastic menu and everything that's cool about Dennistoun.

Great little cafe and food was excellent

Lively place for a breakfast, brunch or dinner. The menue offers everything from rolls, to eggs Benedict, burgers, risotto, soup of the day, salads and such like . I probably tried a lot of the items on the menue and I cannot fault anything. Eggs Benedict and slad with poached eggs and haggis is my favourite if I must pick. Prices are competitive for the area and deacent for the quality of food and size of portions. There are a lot of light and veggie options too. They also offer a takeaway, or you can order to go. Lovely selection of cakes and cookies made by a small local Baker. I don't know anyone that works there, I just love the food and will definitely recomend a try .

Best breakfest I had in Glasgow

Owners manner unacceptable. This would have been a zero star if possible. I am vegan so before choosing a place to eat my partner specifically looked up vegan restaurants or places serving vegan dishes close by. We ordered two vegan stacks and a latte. We called ahead of time and booked an order to collect. The guy on the call said it would be a half hour wait. Half an hour later arrived. The owner stated we had ordered two stornoway stacks and a latte. I advised that we were vegan and had ordered two vegans stacks. He repeatedly refused to accept that he had made an error and instead insisted that I had ordered two stornoways stacks despite being vegan. He shook his head angrily as he headed back to the kitchen to inform the chef of the mix up. I would have been happy if he had accepted the mistake, apologised and corrected our order, however after waiting half an hour to collect this food I was made to feel like I was the inconvenience for his mistake. He was adamant that we had it wrong. He refused to admit that he had made a mistake and blamed me the customer. We were inconvenienced as we waited half an hour for food which was not ready for collection when I arrived. Everyone is human and makes mistakes - that is fine. The fact that this guy could not own up to it and was so rude is unacceptable for a place that would not exist without customers eating there! He clearly did not want my custom. Since calling - I have been advised that his name is Angus and he is the co-owner. The other owner, however seemed very respectful. Unfortunately I will not be returning due to this incident.

A wonderful place for great ingredients, beautifully cooked. Super food. We had an ingenious starter of scallops with black pudding and cauliflower purée and cauliflower slices. Superb. We followed these with beef bourgignon and sea bass. Two very different dishes, really well prepared. The sea bass was light and only one lovely fillet but both dishes were at exceptional prices. The wines - and Aperol Spritz - were also great. The service was excellent - knowledgable, efficient and fun. Great place.

East end gem. Food was wonderful and the quiet ambiance only heightened my senses to the point my yesterday buds cried out for more.

Tibo's is a wonderful wee cafe/bistro in Dennistoun. I've been going off and on for years and they've never let me down, whether it's a family birthday dinner, a quick bite at lunchtime or, as today, a brunch after a busy morning. The place is warm and cosy, with a relaxed vibe and friendly service that is attentive but not a pain. The food is good value and delicious, I love the french toast and berries, the pizzas and the burgers, but I've never had a bad meal no matter what I choose. Vegetarians are catered for too, with a good selection of vegetarian choices There's a good selection of beers and wines, and the coffee is decent too. There's another similar place just up the road, but I find Tibo's warmer, friendlier and altogether more enjoyable. Recommended.

Have been here a couple of times previously, mainly just for drinks. Visited today for lunch and will be visiting a lot more in future. The waiting staff and the owner/manager were really friendly and couldn't have been more accommodating especially as we hadn't booked a table and it was busy. Food was great, atmosphere was cosy and relaxing and staff really friendly. One thing that could have made it even better would be to have more gluten free options or have them more clearly stated on the menu although the staff were great at explaining the options anyway so it wasn't a huge issue. We will definitely be back!

This was the first time I’d been to Tibo in a while having moved away from Glasgow. The food was superb and I’ll be back again soon. The mussels and dirty fries were a standout as was the salted caramel espresso martini.

Just back from a great evening at Tibo booked for 4 o’clock under new restrictions and food was great and a good atmosphere, we had set menu and it is worth a visit always show support as you never know if lockdown again soon. Be back again

Acabo de regresar de la comida de Tibo tan buena que nunca decepciona. El chico que nos atendió fue genial, no lo había visto antes. Gran lugar para almorzar. Personal realmente relajado y amable, atento pero discreto.La comida estaba deliciosa, elegí la guindilla infundida con morcilla. Rico y satisfactorio. Mi hija eligió el curry Katsu. El pollo estaba húmedo y la salsa estaba muy bien condimentada.Se admiten perros también, lo cual fue una agradable sorpresa. Vine aquí para tomar un café con algunos amigos,La primera impresión fue Dios mío (sobresalgo como un pulgar adolorido) pero no fue nada de eso, probé un machiato estaba un poco sorprendido por el tamaño jajaja? pero fue agradable de todos modos, mi amigo tomó un delicioso té de hierbas en una fina China floral, mis otros 2 compañeros un americano negro. El joven Angus vino porque queríamos pasteles, 3 rebanadas enormes de un delicioso bizcocho de mantequilla y el pastel de trufa de chocolate más increíble, Dios mío, 4 hombres adultos en este 1 pastel, pero fue increíble. El personal y el joven Angus, el propietario, fueron brillantes A +++++ desde el extremo este de Glasgow ??????? Vale la pena intentarlo. . .

Éramos un grupo de 4 un viernes por la noche, nos saludaron calurosamente y rápidamente nos llevaron a una mesa. El servicio fue muy bueno y amable, la comida era excelente. Interesante obra de arte en las paredes. El único comentario negativo es que el menú de la noche solo contenía una opción vegetariana.

Mientras estaba de vacaciones entró en especificaciones para el desayuno, gran bienvenida, excelente comida, muy impresionado. Volví al día siguiente para el brunch con la familia (y dos perros), nuevamente, excelente comida, excelente bienvenida, excelente relación calidad-precio. Comida interesante, muchos sabores mixtos, muy buena relación calidad-precio. Licencia y admite perros: volveremos para otro desayuno y para la cena.
