Ocho on the Canal in Glasgow City

Food is good but the service and staff is excellent. London Fog (earl grey with milk froth) was tasty. Make sure it’s not a date if you’re going for the Turkish Eggs. Decent garlic! Build your brunch is the best! Definitely would go back for more.

Place is really cute. Doesn’t have parking which made it a little difficult to access as we had to find parking then walk there. But it’s a nice walk! The wait staff attention to detail could be better. Had to remind twice for water, I asked what a couple things on the menu were and they weren’t sure. I was given no cutlery when I got my meal which I had to ask for. The atmosphere was lovely. And the food ok. I made the wrong choice! The Dog menu is a cute touch!

Hidden gem for Glasgow. Staff very friendly. Very clean place to sit and have a coffee which is absolutely superb Food for such a small hidden gem is again superb. As we maintain this place I do know how very clean this coffee shop is. Now a Fresh coat of paint going on ready for opening back after the festive.

Smashing place, really well run and very clean, food was amazing. The Turkish Eggs are a must, and you kneed to treat your dog to something off their doggy menu, which is also exceptional

Finally visited Ocho as it's been on my list to visit since moving to Glasgow years ago. It is a cute small place. Stunning views of Glasgow and a nice canal walk just at the front. Not the easiest place to get to but worth a visit

Had the fantastic Ocho Mackerel today and found it “out this world “an explosion of flavours and REAL fresh food with beautiful coffee .. The staff were fantastic accommodating me in a scooter as Ive broken my leg nothing was to much trouble thanks to Lee for looking after us found a hidden Gem 😊 be back real soon

First of all, if your not within walking distance of this cafe don't bother, parking is a joke and you will be walking 15 minutes around a building that tries hard to copy HMP Shotts before you arrive. The cafe itself is very small and cramped, with a corner table adjacent to the sole toilet on site, not ideal. The menu is small and lazy, using a build your own menu for anything outside of their 4 signature meals, credit due I tried the Turkish eggs and while not a lot of eating it was tasty enough. Staff also keen to usher you out of the door. Must say first and last visit, brunch isn't meant to be this complicated, especially £35 worth of snack.

Really nice place to visit for brunch, food cooked fresh. Something different! There poached eggs are just the best. Coffee is good too! Love there tableware. Proper coffee cups and saucers, actually thought it was Denby.

Some of the best food nice have eaten for a long time.. Great staff. Nice location, by the canal. Parking is tricky but we got a space. The crispy kale was amazing. Steak sandwich was outstanding. And my hot smoked salmon, avocado on sour dough toast with poached eggs. Was also outstanding. Free water to the table. Coffee was first class so was the pot of tea. Booking recommended.

A very good menu and copied well with dietary requirements. Quality of food excellent and very reasonably priced given size and quality of portion. Busy over lunchtime but we booked a table the day before our visit which I would recommend.

After hearing some great reviews about the brunch in Ocho my girlfriend and I decided to give it a try . The experience was absolutely fantastic . The decor was really nice upon entering . The staff were very friendly. The food was brilliant . We started off with a biscoff latte and Americano which was very tasty. I would go back just for that . We went for bavette steak and a chilli eggs with feta combo . The steak was brilliantly cooked and worked well the mayonnaise and vegetables. The eggs and chilli combination was really good and the portion sizes were great. This was finished off with a delicious cherry scone . If you are walking along Glasgow canals turn do take a pop in . You will be very happy with the food .

Booked but had to bail because the parking situation is absolutely crazy, get a taxi or don't bother Edit: To the reponse below, the staff were friendly but didn't relay any of this info, came with a baby but would have walked to get there quite happily, surrounding area is mostly motorway and industrial estates so no idea where to begin with parking Also - for clarity Ocho is a 25 minute walk from Queen St station, 10 mins from Cowcaddens subway and 17 mins from Buchanan Bus station to be accurate, sorry

Cracking little place ,difficult parking but still well worth the visit .Two of the best breakfasts we've ever had .quality produce. Definitely a return too eaterie. Happy customer.

We came to this place for breakfast while visiting Glasgow with our kids on a holiday. They serve superb breakfast dishes and the workers are very kind. The place itself is clean & cosy. The kids loved the French Toast dish so much! I do recommend you to try it for sure when you're in the area.

Just off the beaten track of Glasgow City centre sits this small bistro cafe. Sitting on Speirs Wharf it is an ideal watering hole if you are out for a casual walk along the canal. Dog friendly. You can have anything from a carry out coffee and treat to a full sit in meal. Staff and friendly and helpful. The place has clearly had a major refurb and is immaculate inside and spotlessly clean. The interior is very stylish but there are not many tables so best to book in advance if you want a meal. Plenty of good beverages and treats to be had so put this place on your radar.

Fabulous spot, lovely walk along the canal. Food was spectacular - highly recommend the French toast - and they make a wonderful flat white! Owners and staff as lovely as can be. Highly recommend!

Every visit to Ocho has been an absolute treat. The incredible food, the friendly staff (that includes Henry 🐶) and the beautiful surroundings. l love it every time, especially with the recent refresh. I’ll be back!

The food and service were fantastic. I definitely recommend this cafe. We went with some of our friends and had great food, it arrived very quickly and the server was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Another lunch at OCHO did not disappoint. What a delight. Friendly service and lovely coffee. Love the door open in the summer time.

I popped in here on a whim for breakfast after an early morning appointment. The staff were more than happy to answer any questions about the menu. I ended up ordering a breakfast roll, and was able to add fried mushroom, and an iron bru. The wait was not very long at all, and the food was absolutely gorgeous. Though it's a small, tucked away place, the atmosphere was really nice and comfortable. I was able to pay by card, and the lady behind the till was very friendly. I'll definitely stop by here again in the future.

If you are looking for an amazing meal whether a special occasion or not, this is the place to go! The meal was fantastic, so fresh and a well planned menu. The cocktails hit the mark and the coffee was the best I'd tasted since I visited Rome, I even got one to go! The staff were very attentive and were on hand for any requests. I like to go to a restaurant where you can see what is happening in the kitchen so full marks all around. Well done Ocho.

Gorgeous recent revamp on this cafe, such a relaxing and friendly environment. This is our regular and for a good reason - The food is so tasty and there's always such a variety. The coffee is fantastic too and the owners have made a real effort to have products from Scottish producers. It's a guaranteed good trip here and being sat by the canal is so lovely! Would recommend to anyone.

A gorgeous recent revamp on this cafe,creating a relaxing and friendly atmosphere. The food is fantastic, always tasty and there's a real variation available. As well as great vegan and veggie options. Very reasonably priced for the great quality. It's our 'go to' to take visiting family or friends, as it never disappoints. The coffee is so tasty and the new owners have made a real effort to buy many products from Scottish producers. A very dog friendly spot too, ideal before s walk along the lovely canal. All round fantastic food spot.

Slow service, ashame because it's in a lovely setting

Service was great, staff were welcoming, attentive, kind to our dog and set a lovely environment in the cafe. Food was delicious, full of flavour and fried foods weren't greasy at all, suggesting good quality ingredients. I'd have loved more home baking choices with my tea. Coffee was perfect, made with oat milk. A lovely spot to enjoy a leisurely lunch, I would (and have) recommend 😋 😀

Cutest little cafe/brunch spot in Spiers wharf. Lovely location. Wanna go back when the sun is shining. Food was delicious, I ordered pancakes which I did not regret!! And the staff were very polite and friendly. Looking forward to going back.

Just had the most amazing brunch at Ocho. We had the "build your own" which was amazing and so delicious. Lovely setting just out of town. Staff were friendly and attentive. Will definitely be back.

Another of one of Glasgow’s hidden gems been many times a never been disappointed. Great food and amazing location.

Disappointing. The good points are lovely coffee, friendly barista and dog friendliness. Most expensive cafe prices in the whole of Glasgow so was expecting good things, however the salmon dish wasn't served as described (no slaw) and was very basic, small (one small slice of bread) simple and bland with literally a speck of sauce (£14 btw). When I highlighted there was no slaw I was left feeling like I was just being difficult and was just told that's how they serve it? (Why say something else on menu then?) They did take 20% off the dish (still nowhere near worth this price) but it felt grudging. It also took almost an hour to arrive so incredibly slow for 2 even if busy and paying took a while too.

Was here on Sunday for breakfast as we were walking along the canal. Thought we would chance it as it was just after opening and we eventually got seated after a bit of head scratching by the staff. Place is nice inside and they let doggies in also which is a nice wee bonus (love dogs). Food was totally fine but nothing memorable (black pudding was really, really good) but the menu was a bit all over the place tbh. From watching the comings and goings during our long waiting for food it seemed more of a social club for the people who live in Speirs Wharf than a Café and the chef spending more time chatting to the regulars than getting dishes out the kitchen.

I ordered flat white and the coffee was so good. For breakfast iI ordered their 4 mushrooms meal and oh it was also delicious. Springy, fresh and cooked well, I love it. Kudos to the chef. If anything, they could really improve on the side dish, which was cod fish. Cod was cooked perfectly but way too salty almost like salted fish I didnt enjoyed it at all. Overall, a gem by the canal. Must visit.

The place is nice Staff are accommodating and the service was really good. Good coffee ☕️ Food: perfectly made, can’t fault it. Portions are okay, but not generous if compared to other places. I didn’t feel that I got what I paid for. Worth the visit though.

I took advantage of their £6 takeaway deal, which I can't say was much of a steal. Creamy mushroom soup, cheese and ham toastie. Made me wait outside in the rain, it wasn't very hostly. Soup over seasoned, the chunky bread only perk. How hungry I was after such a long morning of work. Cliché as it is, its assuredly style over substance. Although I will be going elsewhere I'm sure my colleagues will continue visiting for sustenance 🤑

I was a very pleasantly surprised with this restaurant Ocho .the place was very relaxing to have something to eat in the saff were so nice and the food was lovely and the presentations of the food was perfect. Would I go again the answer would be most definitely and I would recommend Ocho to my family and friends.

Great brunch spot in great location. I had soup and halloumi sandwich which I found really good. Looking forward to going back so I can pick something else. They also offer build your own brunch which my friend got and looked lovely. Coffee was nice, definitely would recommend and will go back.

The build your own brunch was by far one of the best things about Ocho. They give you a wide option list to pick from to really make your favourite meal. The food was delicious and I would definitely go back for the build your own brunch!

Fab, fresh and imaginative brunch - enjoyed in November sunshine by canal. Friendly, helpful staff and a lovely visit.

The day I visited, all tables were reserved. However the waitresses attitude was perfunctory verging on dismissive, when she told me all the tables were reserved. If that is representative of their attitude I will not be going there in future.

Food and service was amazing ! Only downfall was there were no baby changing facilities 👎
