Eaten here multiple times and had a few takeaways. Food is always delicious so very surprised by the one star reviews. Service is always fab, the staff are so friendly. Will be back soon!!
Food very tasty but overpriced. Service is a bit slow. The tables are too close together and too small to accommodate several plates at the same time. It all just felt a bit messy, having to constantly juggle plates around on the table,.
really a relaxed experience
Would highly recommend Brett - the food, staff, and atmosphere were all excellent. They have outdoor heated space for a pre-dinner drink, then we opted for the Chef’s Tasting Menu with paired wines. Sitting at the “kitchen counter” was fascinating to watch and interact occasionally with the Chefs. Will definitely be visiting again!
Perfect 'old man' pub that has updated with modern times. Beautiful traditionally furnished bar. Luxiouriously decorated women's toilet that they eventually were added during the 2000's. No food but you can bring in takeaway pakora from Shahed's next door.
Dress code - RFC tops at your own peril! 😂
Nasi Lemak is the national dish of Malaysia, so a decent test of a Malaysian restaurant. No Malaysian restaurant would ever serve chicken breast with this dish, but Satu Satu does. The other option is fried chicken - the chicken is nice, but its not fried on the bone, again not Malaysian style. If you do go with the fried chicken option then curry sauce costs extra! The dish is supposed to come with sambal, but whatever is served here is not sambal (looks like a Chinese chilli brand i have in the cupboard, out of a jar). No Ikan Bilis was served either. Take it off the menu and stop attempting Malaysian food.
Also, have a look at the green wallpaper on the back wall - it is literally covered in grease and dust and a very strong smell of oil throughout the cafe.
This used to be a great Malaysian restaurant, but no longer.
Beautiful food, portion sizes were definitely only for one person most will.need 2/3 dishes. Quite pricey when you do this. Cocktails, drink and food service was good although there were only 1/2 other tables dining.
Lights out in most of the gents toilets ....other than that Beautiful.surroundings and we will visit again.
OVERCHARGING !
I have been warned by a friend Tandori staff overcharge - i have ignored as never experienced their dishonesty.
Today I have ordered a small kebab, a large kebab and a portion of chips. I have been charged £15.40.
2min later when I questioned the pricing as it didnt add up.
The guy handed me back £1.30 admitting he charged me too much.
None of them were surprised nor did they apologise.
I would suggest to be mindful.

As a Zimbabwean, I have been wanting some African food to order. This place is delicious and defo going on my delivery rotation, food is well-made and consistent, the only thing I want is some Okra, please, please eat for some great African eats.
Tomé una refrescante taza de café y mi esposo tomó su bebida exprés favorita. El café y la bebida exprés estaban bien preparados. También comimos algunos rollos de desayuno junto con baguettes. Comida deliciosa y personal bien experimentado.
This is an exceptional restaurant, where we had the most memorable meal that we have ever had. We were celebrating our silver wedding anniversary. We had a wonderful evening and felt very warmly welcomed by staff. All the service was highly professional. Every course of the dinner menu was exquisite (7 courses + snacks + extra sweets). This menu is expensive but well worth the money. The fish courses were our favourites. I could not quite eat all of the sweet items at the end; I think perhaps it was because of the richness of the previous courses. But each one was exciting and delicious. The drinks mark-up is high but the wine is excellent. So it was a thoroughly delightful evening and we will certainly come again for another special occasion. Thank you.
