Great food BUT we had a very draughty window seat that made the whole experience very very uncomfortable and no one was interested. So much so we sat with our jackets on. Tried to discuss this with Liam the general manager who literally sent us packing! Roll on Cail Bruich Unalome you cannot match them.

This was like Christmas presents for food with every present the best you've ever had. We dined on the tasting menu and frankly it was the best meal we have ever had. All the staff were welcoming , knowledgeable and generous. A wee mention to Tracy who personalised our experience. It was for our 25th anniversary and we felt so special. Bravo.

Consistently the best restaurant in Glasgow and thoroughly deserving of its Michelin star. The quality of the ingredients shines through with real talent in the kitchen knowing how to ensure that there are the correct number of ingredients on the plate. Saucing is impeccable demonstrating skillful understanding of classic cookery. Nevertheless they will always introduce a new element without losing sight of taste and balance. First rate service and a superb wine list too.

Absolutely one of the best meals I’ve had in Scotland and certainly well deserving of its Michelin Star. Although the menu changes from time to time, the consistent excellence in food taste, ingredients, preparation and presentation across the entire tasting menu suggests that regardless of when you go you’ll be so glad you did. If you can book the Chef’s table-do so! The team of chefs assembled and lead by Graeme Cheevers is a testament to his dedication to producing the best for customers. The ability to watch the magic in the making and interact with Graeme and chefs Gemma, Nathan, Max and Conor was definitely a memory maker and enhanced the entire experience. Sommelier Ewan, who was both knowledgeable and affable, presented well balanced and well paired wines. All-in-all excellent by every measure and certainly great value for the money spent. BTW, I couldn’t pick a favorite course…each was so unique, tasty and exceptional. Definitely book a meal at Unalome by Graeme Cheevers if you are ever in the Glasgow area!!

This is Glasgow and perhaps you wouldn't expect too much. But then again, this is Glasgow, a city full of contradictions. In the more Georgian part of town, this is an amazing restaurant. Yes, do the chef's table. Food, lovingly prepared with great knowledge, Scottish produce, and the wine pairing couldn't match better. Amazing, but never showy. And a special thanks for the marsala...

We had a wedding celebration small group here, and the service exceeded our expectations - really helpful and flexible staff, and the group of 9 had a fantastic time for the evening. The food was delicious, especially appreciated the veggie tasting menu. We enjoyed some unique wines that paired nicely, and the cocktails were all delicious. Would highly recommend! Thanks Unalome for treating us all to a lovely and memorable evening!

A great lunch! Had the seasonal lunch menu. Staff were efficient and friendly but not obtrusive. Decor was modern if a bit plain. Excellent selection of wine at a variety of prices. Canapés were interesting and tasty, starter of red prawn was ok but lacked punch. Duck for main was excellent and perfectly executed. Desert and petit fours were also really good. Overall really good and worth the premium price, would definitely visit again in future.

Enjoyed our visit to Unalome. Food was exquisitely presented and tasted great. The cheese trolley was a highlight, and the waitress who presented it was charming and knowledgeable. The toilets (3 cubicles) are mixed gender. The floor of the cubicle I used had urine drips round the toilet, and the seat was left up, as per men using them. Wasn't loving having to touch the seat to put it down.I think you should have a male only, female only and gender neutral cubicle IMHO. Women are so much tidier in the toilet than the majority of men!!! Apart from this everything was great.

Overall a decent experience. Food was generally good and service of a good standard. The issue I have with Unalome in giving it 3 stars is that it’s good but relative to the price it’s just not worth it for me. For that kind of money I’m expecting a really memorable experience and it just didn’t have that wow factor about it unfortunately.

I had the privilege of being a guest in the kitchen of Unalome by Graeme Cheevers over the weekend. It was truly an inspirational and humbling experience to observe, from the heart of the kitchen.The journey of thought, detail and execution of techniques that culminates in exquisite components converging on the plate. Chef Cheevers and every single one of his team were so gracious and generous with their time and patience and with sharing their impressive knowledge of their craft. Moreover, the front of house team, lead by Ewan McFall, displayed an impressive knowledge of the wines and dishes.not to mention deftly manoeuvring through the restaurant and kitchen with endless smiles. Delicious lunch with dishes of the highest standard coupled with excellent service. They create a lovely atmosphere which is relaxed and fun but still focussed on all the little details which you would expect from a Michelin rated restaurant. We had the Six course tasting menu with premium paired wines. I’ve eaten in a lot of Michelin restaurants and Graeme and his team have got it just right. Elegant and stylish setting and superb service, without the stiff over formal atmosphere. It was welcoming and relaxed, the flavours and textures were intelligently combined and paired perfectly with some sublime wines. The staff were well informed and very professional. Quite possibly the best culinarily experience I’ve ever had. Thank you Unalome! You made our valentines night unforgettable.

Service was first class. Not entirely convinced by some of the dishes. My crab starter was somewhat wishy washy and lacking in taste although nicely presented. The razor clams that came with the halibut were on the rubbery side (over cooked possibly?) and the (gateau) dessert was pleasant enough but hardly a 'wow' Michelin Star moment. The scallops and lamb dishes were very good but the description of 'poached pear' should reflect this is served VERY cold. Service was exemplary throughout. I hope this feedback is useful.

My first Michelin experience in Glasgow. I enjoyed everything, especially the foie gras, sea bass and the dessert. They also have amazing bread with creamy butter! What impresses me most is that they prepared a surprised petit four for me: when chatting I said I came to Glasgow for my first job and it has been just one month. At the end of my meal, staffs came with congratulations!! It’s quite warm and I’m quite grateful for it. Their foods are of good balance so that you won’t feel too heavy, friendly service and kind staffs, will come back again!

Unalome, it is without doubt an experience unlike any other. We are very lucky to now be based in Glasgow but previously were often happy to drive from Oban to dine here. It is the epitome of perfection, the food is delicious, exciting and challenging in the very best way. The chef patron has created a venue that just puts you at ease as soon as you arrive as you know you’ll be taken on a culinary adventure and guided by the team the whole way. The team, exceptionally well prepared, trained and caring - we really cannot thank them enough for helping us create some amazing memories. The kitchen brigade are a masterful group that balance flavours, textures and ingredients perfectly. You can taste the passion for the food and now having lost count of the times we’ve dined, we have never come across a dish we didn’t enjoy. The wine is again superb, knowledgeable management provide exceptional pairings but also remember your preferences- outstanding! Having been fortunate to have dined in many Michelin restaurants we always look forward to coming back to Unalome Thank you to each and everyone of the team for creating such a special restaurant here in Glasgow - you are now the home of our most precious of memories, and the venue of choice for all memories yet to be made. 5 stars just doesn’t seem enough…

Both lunch and evening menus have a great variety and all delicious. The service is easily the best I’ve experienced, the staff are willing to do what they can for you. On this occasion, lunch, we got a matching wine set created for us and a cheese board…. It you’re looking for a treat this is a must visit.

A wonderful dining experience in Glasgow, with impeccable service all along. Very good amuse bouche, creatives, in both textures, shapes, visuals and smell. Fresh starter with heirloom Isle of Wight Tomatoes with consommé and snacked watermelon : fresh and smocky at the same time. Great West Coast Lobster, in two ways (half tail wood grilled and half in a long pepper tempura, marvelous, with raspberry and peach. Ethical Foie gras balls were great (brioche was not necessary, just the balls with the sauce and apricots were sufficient). Roasted breast of duck was absolute perfection (cooking, seasoning, sauce, sides). A marvel. Sole negative comment would be on the wines by the glass available : except an excellent Saint Julien (but quite expensive), the other ones are clearly not up to the level of the food. And on the very good cheeses : slices are a bit too small for the 20£ supplement.

Walking in, I was a little taken aback by the fact that the waiter seemingly ignored my presence and only greeted/looked at my partner, standing behind me. There was an awkward silence as we both waited for him to look at me so that I could say I had a reservation. In the end I spoke up first because he didn't seem inclined to notice me any time soon. The food on the lunch menu was a hit and miss - the crab starter was nice, but was overpowered by the acidity in the sauce. The duck dish was truly incredibly salty, I love salt and add it to most dishes in restaurants because I find them under seasoned, but the jus was so salty I had to have a bite of the beetroot puree in every forkful just to balance it a little. The mushrooms were also overly salty. The souflee was lovely, if a little over sweet, but the ice cream balanced that out so it made for a good dish. The floor shook everytime someone walked on it. Overall we were both underwhelmed, both by the service and by the food, which had its moments of tastyness but fell short of "great" (or even well-balanced) frequently. Unalome was a disappointment compared to the other fantastic Michellin restarurants we have in the UK, and I would not come back again.

Overall slightly disappointing experience visiting Unalome. We booked our visit several weeks in advance then a few days before arrival we noticed that the menu price had been increased from £37pp to £50pp. When we asked if the original prices would be honoured since it hadn’t been mentioned in any of their confirmation emails we were simply told ‘no- it’s our right to increase’. I totally appreciate that pricing changes are a necessity at times but it was really disappointing customer service that they failed to notify us despite emailing with other updates and the response to my question could have been worded a lot better. The food itself was really good but not exceptional. I had the vegan menu which was quite samey and felt a bit lacklustre when compared to the regular menu which the other half of my table had. The vegan mushroom starter was incredible and we really enjoyed the canapés but the main and dessert didn’t match the standard set at the beginning. The only vegan dessert option was sorbet and berries… really disappointing and felt like a bog standard vegan option from 2008. The restaurant is beautiful and really well designed but the service was pretty awkward at points. It felt like we were dining during a staff training service and had to ask to order a bottle of wine. It’s a nice restaurant to try but I don’t think I would hurry back.

Phenomenal dining experience. The food and service were perfect and can not be faulted in any way. Every course was inventive, beautifully presented and absolutely delicious. In particular the scallop starter with hazelnut and truffle pesto was the best scallop dish I have ever had in my life. Cannot recommend UNALOME highly enough and I cannot wait to return.

We enjoyed a fabulous dinner at UNALOME - my husband went for the regular 6-course tasting dinner while I had the vegetarian tasting dinner. Before dessert, we shared a selection of cheese. The restaurant is located in a nicely renovated historical building and pretty stylish. The atmosphere is rather casual though - no dinner jacket required. Staff was extremely friendly and attentive. The sommelier who introduced the wine pairing did an amazing job not only with the excellent pairings, but also with introducing the wines and explaining why he chose then. Before the actual tasting dinner started, a couple of amouse-buche bites were served - I had mentioned being pescetarian which was immediately considered for the appetizers. That's not necessarily the case even in fine dining restaurants and showcases the high service level. Food was excellent, both tasting dinners featured seasonal and regional products. The style was light but strongly flavored with herbs and spices. My personal highlight was the dessert consisting of goat cheese and fennel - not too sweat, light and airy, very creative. Overall a great experience. Service is top notch, food modern yet down to earth, and the wine pairing exceptional.

Unlike anything else I’ve experienced in Scotland. It really is an exceptional experience from the moment you walk through the door. I booked lunch to celebrate my Mums 70th Birthday and it was so special. Everything about this restaurant makes you feel good and you just don’t want to leave! Food is to die for, staff are lovely and so professional and it’s just such a nice relaxing atmosphere. Graeme and the team are just awesome! Can’t wait to go back!

Quite frankly, embarrassing. We went for the 6 course tasting menu, with wine flight, and dear goodness were we disappointed. I’ve never left a fine dining restaurant feeling so flat and dissatisfied. We regularly eat at Michelin star establishments, and we’re quite shocked that this has made the cut. The service was fairly disinterested - despite all of our efforts to captivate the front of house staff with conversation. The canapes, they were agreeable but not exceptional - from the overpowering cheese with a beetroot meringue to the below standard gougere (our banqueting wedding caterer supplied something 10x the quality). This was followed up by a tuna tartare, which, credit where credit is due, was brilliant. Sadly it was downhill from there - my scallop was stone-cold and raw, whilst my partners was cooked but also cold. Whilst we questioned this with the host, they all argued this was cooked to temperature and nothing was wrong with it. We were repeatedly offered spoons for cold courses, which really produced the feeling of being a toddler eating real food for the first time. The black cauliflower made my mothers cauliflower look raw (and she loves overcooked veg) - we appreciate that cooking out cauliflower can produce a nuttiness, but when you take it too far all is lost, however, thankfully the crispy onions brought a little texture to another lacklustre dish. The cod dish was something that excited us prior to eating, though again this was cold and we were expected to eat with a spoon - upon requesting a fork, we were scowled at, and by the time this came a luke-warm cod was stone cold; the gnocchi that accompanied this was pure stodge and frankly inedible. The remainder of the meal? Backstrap of venison and was sold as fillet, and despite being soux vide was tough - quite an achievement. The rice pudding as a side to rhubarb was cold, and not an experience i wish to repeat (the meringue with cardamon and ginger was lovely, but made unappealing by the rice stodge below). I first encountered chef in my home village of Benderloch, where he took the Isle of Eriska hotel to Michelin star level. When he was awarded the Michelin star for Unalome, I was very excited to take my fiancée to experience his cooking… unfortunately the experience paled in comparison, and i sincerely wish I could have taken him to Eriska instead.

We had the tasting menu and the food was excellent in general, but the dessert course let it down. Although it looked beautiful, it lacked flavour. The rice pudding was quite bland and for a dish claiming to be rhubarb, I didn't get much rhubarb flavour. The main area for improvement was the service. The waitress spoke so quietly I could barely hear what each course was, which became a little frustrating towards the end. We also had to get someone's attention to order wine, so I think the staff could have been more attentive. Nice experience overall, but at that price point, I'm expecting a little more than just nice.

First time visiting and definitely won't be our last. What a lovely experience. Delighted to be met with such a nice smiling welcome by the young gentleman at the door to be shown through to two even lovelier colleagues who settled us and presented us with menus and water. The waiting staff are so professional - quiet, efficient, smiley and very knowledgeable about each dish and its ingredients. We chose lunch from the a la carte menu and what a treat it was. Every dish was presented so prettily and oh...the flavours...to die for! What impressed us was how calm the restaurant was. No noise from the open plan kitchen and the staff moved serenely from table to table - no fuss, no obvious stress. Was it eye wateringly expensive? No I don't think so. Everything about today's amazing meal was worth every penny.

I've eaten at many Michellin starred resturants and I can't believe this restaurant managed to secure a star. Many of the courses were very samey and the service was OK. The food and service is similar to somewhere like with Six by Nico.

Food, service, and atmosphere were all excellent, surely deserves 2 Michelin stars! We had the tasting menu, and there were some great dishes. The tuna tartare was truly amazing, with soft, fresh, tasty tuna and a delicious dressing. I was a little disappointed with cod as it had an odd consistency, didn't seem fresh, and not much flavour, but everything else was 1st rate. Service was very attentive, and when we didn't like a glass of wine we ordered, they changed it, no problem. We'll definitely be back.

I must say food was great however, me and my wife have been to many Michelin star restaurants across and outside the country and it was the first time we've had such a poor reception. When we arrived, we weren't asked if wanted a drink other than water but then the canapés were served and eventually we had to ask for a drink. I thought those restaurants relied a lot on selling drinks to boost their profit, not Unalome apparently. On ordering the food, we asked the very badly trained waitress if we could mix dishes from the tasting and a la carte menus and have a wine pairing with each dish as we were prepared to pay extra for the service but her lack of manners which you wouldn't expect in that kind of places and her reluctance to help with our queries made us really feel unwelcome. I could tell she was very close to rolling her eyes. The meal was ruined from the start and because we told the maitre d about her attitude, the restaurant wouldn't have had to offer us extras as an apologetic gesture. Great food and great sommelier though, badly managed restaurant we feel... the worse is that we had better experience there when they didn't have a Michelin star and it was cheaper!!! They surely would have lost the star had we been Michelin inspectors... not sure we would go back there as it's not cheap compare to other 1 Michelin star restaurants we've been to and the service is certainly not up to the level...

Food is absolutely outstanding. Staff were disappointing except the gent with the beard and the American girl. Staff struggled to smile and it's so disappointing for such a fabulous restaurant . Brunette placed our cutlery for the beef course with knife on left, blade facing outward too. Never smiled once. Hopefully she was having a bad night.

This is by far the best dining experience in Scotland and rivals many three star restaurants in Europe. Excellent quality ingredients with flavours that surprise and delight, perfect service and amazing value for money. I would recommend going for the tasting menu as the portions and timing of the courses was just right to satisfy but leave you looking forward to the next course.

Disappointed with this tbh never even had a full kids menu to offer. Even though theres only 3 things on it. Starters said tomato soup there was none. Mains said kids burger there was none and dessert was supposed to be a trio of didlfferent ice creams and they only had vanilla so very poor for £12:95. Defo not a place I would recommend to take kids despite the good views over the pitch Carvery was also cold and not worth the money. Place has went down hill food wise des pite the makeover can't see us returning anytime soon

An absolute gem of a place! Went with a group of 4 and ordered 8 dishes. Every single one was a hit. There was only one chef and he nailed every dish. All pasta dishes were cooked perfectly. The pork was amazing. Nothing to fault! The service was also outstanding and drinks were divine! We will be back for sure! Amazing cosy atmosphere 10/10 in our opinion
