Beirut star in Glasgow City

This is one of my favourite restaurants, the starters/tapas are next level so we usually just get a big selection of these so we can have maximum variety, the fattoush, savoury pastries, hummus, falafel & spicy potatoes I could honestly have every day. All the food is halal and if you like pineapple I highly recommend getting the pineapple juice here, it's freshly blended and so good!

Food was utterly amazing. Service outstanding. We took recommendations from the owner as to what dishes to order and left the rest to him. Very friendly and down to earth staff. The fattoush salad was the best we have ever tasted. Hummus so creamy and flavourful. The spicy potatoes and bread with minced lamb were delicious. Tried chicken and lamb from the charcoal grill that were great. Leave space for the Baclava!! Will definitely be back.

The Beirut Star provided our staff team's Christmas Lunch this winter and we were blown away with how tasty and fresh the food was - they made us a feast! They accommodated our dietary requirements and made the logistics super easy, as we'd requested take away. Value for money and service with a smile - thank you!

Been going here for years and it’s my kids favourite restaurant. We have to order at least two of the spicy potatoes or we won’t get any. I’ve never had anything other than delicious food here. We always get the fatoosh, it’s so good they even salad haters love it. The chicken shawarma is also something we order every time and love. The staff are always lovely and it’s a very family friendly atmosphere.

By writing this review might make it more difficult to get a table, we started going here before going to football and can honestly say have never once left disappointed. The full place is spotless, staff are excellent, food is very reasonably priced, freshly prepared and excellent. While they don't serve alcohol they don't mind you bringing your own in. Would highly recommend a visit to the Beirut Star.

One of the best meals that we’ve had in a while! We went for Set Menu B which included a selection of hot & cold meze as well as mixed grill. Everything had so much flavour & just tasted so fresh. The service was also really great. We could not fault one thing! 5* experience from start to finish.

My husband had promised to take me here as he usually visits with the boys pre-football. Finally got round to trying for Sunday lunch! Despite being very busy with a large party, we were seated and served our food reasonably quickly. What can I say, except the food was exquisite! If you’re looking to try somewhere really different and authentic, then the Beirut Star is the place! For reasons unclear, they don’t have a drinks licence, but they were happy for us to bring along our own bottle of wine to enjoy with our meal. The portion sizes are large and as we couldn’t finish our mains, we requested a doggy bag which was provided and nicely packaged to take home and enjoy later. Thank you Beirut Star for my induction to Lebanese food - I will definitely be back!!

There was a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere here. Staff were friendly and helpful. The food was fabulous...hummous Beiruti had great spice kick,Mutabbal was excellent, tabbouleh fresh and zingy, Falafel was a revelation. I have tried a lot of Falafel and have always just tasted stodge. Not here though. Falafel was crunchy on the outside and soft( no way stodgy) on the inside. Mixed grill and king prawns so tasty and freshly cooked. A side of grilled chilli was spicy,fresh and so tasty. I would have loved to try the Baklawa as it looked delicious. I would highly recommend the Baruti Star.

Avoid this place very bad attitude from the young waiter who after me waiting 10 minutes told me the table was now booked and I couldn't have the table.

The restaurant came highly recommended. We weren't disappointed. Lovely traditional setting. We had the mixed meat meze so we could try a bit of everything. Exceptional starters, such succulent meat for the mains. Nice touch was all the fresh juices. Easy to get to using the subway. I was visiting my daughter, will definitely return on my next visit to Scotland.

This is fabulous little place. It is quite modest looking from the outside, but step inside and be treated to some really great food. There is an extensive menu - something for everyone. We have been many times and have never been disappointed. Their fattoush salad is just wonderful and they home make one of the best garlic dips you will ever eat. Give it a try.
