Food is good slightly pricey in comparison to other similar options. Overall it's a good place for a odd change of taste and type. Parking and availablity is another week point you need to plan ahead. Staff are good but busy hence difficult to get hold of, might need couple of guys for busy times.

I was still waiting for more than 20 minutes and then another person came and took my order and she never asked about my order so I got up and left

Visited mid-week as a party of four. Lots of on street parking which is free after 6pm. Was quickly seated by an attentive waitress. After being seated we were provided with complimentary soup was delicious and definitely set my palate for the rest of the meal. We opted for the family grill platter which feeds three but as a party of four we still had leftovers. Lots of meat and sauces were included with the platter which was fantastic, however a bit more rice included with the platter would have complimented it further. The food itself was good and overall we really enjoyed the food. Given the location, decor, price and quantity of food it’s very reasonably priced.

I recently visited this Syrian restaurant and was thoroughly impressed! From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive. The menu offered a fantastic selection of authentic dishes — everything from perfectly spiced kebabs to rich, flavourful hummus and freshly baked flatbreads. What really stood out was the speed of service. Despite it being a busy evening, our food arrived within minutes, piping hot and beautifully presented. It’s clear that the kitchen runs like clockwork without compromising on quality. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with traditional décor that made the whole experience feel genuinely authentic. If you’re craving delicious Syrian food and value efficient, friendly service, this is definitely the place to go. Highly recommended!

Excellent food at decent prices, served reasonably quickly. Starters aren’t massive but the mains are. Tables are a bit close together but you don’t really notice that once you’re sat down and eating. On-street parking right outside.

A Cracking Night at Damasqino My partner and I had the pleasure of dining at Damasqino recently, and I must say—it was a belter of an evening. The place was buzzing, clearly a favourite among locals, and while the table next to us was a touch loud, the overall atmosphere remained welcoming and warm. We were graciously welcomed with a complimentary lentil soup—rich, hearty, and true to the Lebanese region’s generous spirit. A lovely cultural touch that set the tone beautifully. For mains, we followed the staff’s recommendation and shared the Damasqino Shawarma Plate with rice and side of bread and Chicken Kafta with chips and bread -great portions sizes. Both were superb—the shawarma was tender and flavourful, and the kafta was grilled just right, juicy and packed with spice. To top it off, the mint mocktail—another spot-on suggestion from the manager—was refreshing and perfectly balanced. Despite the bit of background noise, the service, food, and hospitality made for a memorable evening. We’ll be back soon, and next time we might just bring a few pals along.

Damasqino - a restaurant that you go to twice during 4 days in Glasgow.  At least, if you're me. Our group of 3, then 5, enjoyed our dishes family style so we could each experience the distinct, intense and bright flavors of a mixed shawarma plate, foul moudamas, tabouleh, lebnah, moussaka, lentils/bulghur wheat, and the okra with lamb dish whose name I forget. Complimentary lentil soup was a wonderful amuse bouche. I enjoyed the Aryan yoghurt beverage with a mild salty tang.  The portions and value were wonderful and the service and ambience, very pleasant. Wish I lived closer than California!

I would like to share my disappointing experience at Damascusino Restaurant. A few days ago, we ordered grilled chicken with rice, and the food was unfortunately in unacceptable condition. The chicken was dry, tough, and not fresh, while the rice was spoiled and unfit for consumption. Unfortunately, the food had an unpleasant odor, indicating it was old and unfit for eating. We had also previously ordered shawarma from an Uber that was disposed of. Eating such food poses a health risk, and one of my sisters had previously experienced food poisoning from this restaurant. We hope that the food quality will improve in the future and that better safety standards will be implemented. For starters we had the mixed starter platter we all enjoyed the variety of hummus and the fresh salad and also the complimentary soup. However the mains was a letdown we had thr mixed starter and then broasted chicken - the mixed starter mince kebab was dry and bland, and all other meats in platter lacked any flavour also , the chilli sauce was extra hot chilli however garlic sauce was good . The roasted chicken was covered in some herb that was just to Overpowering and just standard fried chicken . They also gave us complimentary tea end of meal I was wondering why we are getting this vip treatment ! Then it all made sense when waitress came with a card and made us scan it which led to this review page , then she continued hovering around us until a review was left , we felt we were been obligated/pressured to leave a 5 star review ! We never did leave a review whilst there despite the pressure and waitress attempted two of us . Note to owner /management not a great tactic should let your customers leave a review organically . Did not mind been asked if we could leave a review in our own time but feeling pressured there and then did not make us feel comfortable .

Another great meal in here tonight, we were lucky to get in as hadn't booked and was very busy just after we'd been served. Can't fault the food or service, definitely recommend 🥰👍

We had a wonderful time celebrating my mum’s 50th birthday. The workers were very patient and accommodating to our table of 16 people! The food is absolutely amazing as well as the atmosphere. They even played music as they brought out the birthday cake and didn’t stop until we finished dancing! It was a joy dining at the restaurant and I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for tasty food or doing something bigger like a birthday celebration.

I recently tried a shawarma wrap, and unfortunately, it did not live up to expectations. The chicken was noticeably dry, lacking the tenderness and juiciness you'd hope for in a fresh shawarma. It felt as though the meat had been sitting out for a while, rather than being freshly cut and served. The wrap itself lacked the vibrant flavors and quality you'd expect from a good shawarma experience. Sadly, it was more of a disappointment than a delight.

We walked in one day and asked if we needed a reservation or if there were any free tables. The guy at the counter didn't use any words... He just pointed to an area with empty tables and looked at us like we were an inconvenience. We went over and sat down. A waitress came over and took our order. She was nice. The guy from the counter then came a while later with our food. He said nothing again - just sat the plates in front of us. I asked him a question but he said nothing - he just walked away and ignored us. He made us feel awkward. As we were leaving we went to pay the bill. We asked this guy if we could pay. Again, he didn't respond to us, he actually turned his back to us and shouted for another member of staff to come see us. During these awkward interactions I could only assume maybe he didn't understand English, so I tried to take this into consideration. However.... Several days later a video popped up on social media. This guy was doing the video to promote the place. Turns out he either owns or runs the place. He was speaking English the whole way this video absolutely fine. Seeing this made me really annoyed. We definitely won't be back. What an ignorant guy. He made the whole encounter feel pure awkward. Why would you behave like that?! This happened to us a couple of months ago and I didn't leave a review at the time. But I just seen someone on social media saying a similar thing of how they felt awkward here, so here is my review too!

We came here as a family and had a wonderful time. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was really lovely. We would definitely come back!

Best Lebanese food in Glasgow 100% 🔥

When I was getting ready to go to Glasgow for a day trip, the hostel manager in Edinburgh explicitly said that I needed to visit this place because of the snacks of flavor and portions. She was correct on both fronts. I got the mixed grilled and sambousek. The food took sometime to deliver, so be patient. I wish I could have gotten a whole lamb dish instead because of how tasty it was but the mixed grilled provides a wide spectrum of taste if you want that coverage. Washed it down with a mango juice that was not too sweet (if you know, you know).

The restaurant is absolutely wonderful and the food is delicious! We ordered the “Kibbeh in yogurt sauce” and it was incredibly tasty – I highly recommend everyone to try it. We also ordered a mixed grill, customized with Shish Tawook and Lamb Cubes, and it turned out to be one of the most flavorful and delightful dishes we've had. I'd like to thank Mr. Owais for his excellent service and his helpful attitude in making our order easy and smooth. The entire staff we met were very welcoming and super friendly. Highly recommended! They have lentil soup served as a treat and it tastes very good We ordered kibbeh with yoghurt and it was very delicious. I advise everyone to try it. We ordered mixed grills, but we ordered them to be shish tawook and shakaf meat, and they were one of the most delicious and delicious dishes. I advise everyone to try them. Decided to pop in for a takeaway and I ordered a chicken shawarma wrap. Delicious, fresh, full of flavour and nicely spiced without overpowering anything. £6.50 for a large wrap, and by large, I mean large. Excellent value, friendly staff, good food and I'll be coming back at some point to sit down and try more. Many thanks.

Food was great but service was not. I'm not sure if it was because the server was new or what but there were a few mistakes. For example my friend order a yogurt and an irnbru, she forgot the irnbru I ordered a mango juice and a coke, she forgot the juice. We asked for rice with our meal but we got chips instead. We didn't complain as the food was delicious.

I had high hopes for Damasqino Restaurant in Glasgow, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the expectations. The portion sizes were surprisingly small for the prices they charge, which made the whole experience feel underwhelming. While the food itself was decent, it wasn’t enough to justify the cost. Definitely left feeling disappointed and still hungry. I don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon.

We went there last night hadn’t booked a table called and asked if we could come down was 8 of us we were told would be a 20 min wait which is totally understandable bcz they were very busy. We ordered what we wanted and when the food arrived it looked soo mouth-wateringly delicious 🤤 and let me tell you the food did not disappoint hands down this was the best meal out we have truly enjoyed in years. The crispy fried chicken was soo gooood! Mix grill, shawarma wraps, cold starter platter and the sea bass was all spot on delicious. The service was also amazing such a good experience! Our new fav restaurant will definitely be back soon. Thank you for such an awesome experience & service. Appreciate you all working on Eid.

Amazing place- they have won awards which doesn't surprise me as the quality and taste is great. Delicious food and first class service at very reasonable prices. Go hungry- their portions are huge. It's best to make a reservation- I was fortunate in securing table for 1 at 6:30pm. The restaurant was full by 7pm. Strawberry milkshake was delicious. (Restaurant does not serve alcohol- but the quality of food and service means you'll be more than happy to go without). I personally had dumplings but I could see that the Mixed Grill for 2 is huge and very popular. Hope to return.

Went for a meal on Valentine's day and as expected it was extremely busy. Staff were good tho n didn't have to wait too long for food. Would go back again on a regular day as the food was really nice n not overpriced as some places in city centre

Really nice restaurant with tasty food. Make sure to book a table - I did not and the restaurant was full on an early Friday evening so I could only do take out (entirely my fault!). The hummus and chicken shawarma were very good.

Ayni really looked after as and the service and food is always impeccable.

Not impressed with the service at all. We booked to go in at 5.45 a week in advance for iftar and the booking was taken. A few days later they called up saying theres been a double booking and that we can come at 5.15 instead to which we accepted. But then 1 hour before iftar time at approx 5pm 15 mins before the booking they called and cancelled us because they didnt have any space. Would not recommend going here at all.!!!

Very family friendly restaurant with a great variety of Lebanese dishes. The okra lamb stew was very good and the Shashlik chicken was delicious and a very generous portion. Would definitely visit again when next in Glasgow.

Great meal here before a concert at Barrowlands. Got a free yummy lentil soup to start. The vibe leaves were amazing and our Okra lamb stew was delish. Great service from Ayni who even saved our food for us while we had to run out and fix parking. Would definitely return.
