Damasqino restaurant & cafe in Glasgow City

Ambiente excepcional, muy amable - el personal y los clientes. La comida era fantástica, de las más sabrosas que he probado. No podía creer que el arroz pudiera estar tan lleno de sabor. Tenía la parrilla mixta de pollo que creo que en realidad era para compartir porque era enorme. Creo que por error pedí una comida para dos, así que lee el menú cuidadosamente. Gracias por una experiencia deliciosa y agradable.

Syrine era un anfitrión increíble, la comida excelente, grandes porciones. Comida extremadamente sabrosa. Muy recomendable, no puedo esperar a volver. Muchas gracias por una velada fantástica.

Had such an amazing time here tonight with some friends. Can't fault Damasqino's. The food was fantastic and the staff are amazing too especially Syrine who dealt with us. One of my favourite places to visit and also get takeaway from too.

Nice food, good portions, nice starter platter and generally a good atmosphere...but no need to do Mexican flavours because specialising in Lebanese cuisine is sufficient for them.

Great food in a fairly quieter part of town with easy access for street parking. I love this food genre so I'm biased but great portion size comfortable seating and a friendly smile. I'll be back soon. So much fabulous choice on the menu. Thanks guys.

The Syrian waiter, the first time he greeted me was his manner and it must have improved a little later. I was coming back to the day I said goodbye to him. He was stressed out or had something in his heart about the two people. God knows best, but everything is good with them, even the prices.

Very disappointed. Ordered a takeaway : kofta mince lamb and kofta sandwich with no chicken came . In the mince lamb there was a weird pizza slice for some reason . The chips were very soggy . It was not acceptable . We are confused by all the good reviews we had to put it in the bin

Have only ever had takeaway but the wraps are very good and staff friendly and very reasonably priced. Can't go wrong.

😞 I would not go back for lamb. Rice and 3 pcs of tiny lamb kebabs. That's it.

For sure don't order lamb, there was dead lettuce in my plate, no tomato or onion. Bad. Rice never seen saffron in its life, coloured oily rice, dead lettuce lots of it. And 100gms lamb, how did that fit on three skewers. Misleading. Tabbouleh never seen cucumbers and tomatoes, felt like overdose of citric acid. Service non existence. No service. Its a seated takeaway. One of my friends wanted a shawarma plate, was refused 2 times. Mediocre cutlery and tableware, cheap napkins. Only reason 2 stars, they where halal.

Absolute stoatir of a restaurant! Nice and pleasant welcoming staff, food was top notch, tasty and fairly good sized portions. Something different from my normal go to, which is indian or chinese food, we'l defo be back. Try it, youl love it im sure. Alan.

Food is late Waited for one hour for my food

Really good, hadn't been before but wanted some decent middle eastern food. It's a lot bigger inside than I thought, really well laid out and comfortable. We were just in for lunch, ordered some hummus to share and a schawarma each. We were given a really good amuse bouche, which I think was a lentil heavily spiced with cumin, it was delicious. The hummus and flatbread were great as was the chicken schawarma, nothing to complain about at all in our visit and would return. Sorry the photos are terrible. We spent £15 a head including tea and a coke.

Lovely food. Great price. The cold mezza was the bomb. The aubergine and lamb was awesome. The falafel was great.Lentil soup was a great surprise . You get great value for the money. This place should be packed all the time.

Today it was my birthday at Damasqino, my self and my friends loved the food it was delicious and amazing food we ever had in Glasgow I really like the cleanliness in hygiene wise and loved atmosphere including the birthday vibes they create for guests it’s just amazing and fabulous which made me more excited for my birthday celebration including the staff members are very friendly and welcoming everyone with full respect and potentially towards their customers, Damasqino services are very fast and good quality their shifts and staff working well hard enough to promote their business more effectively and efficiently by providing fresh food with brilliant many styles and choices of menu options. I wish many Good LUCks and well wishes To Damasqino staff members to keep it up always with their hard work definitely this business will continue to grow and achieve more success in future years I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone who would love to have fresh food and best and quickest service with friendly staff engaging with customers. Had an amazing meal and experience. Food is tasty and portions are huge and there are plenty of options! The staff was kind and service great. I would recommend the mixed grill for 2

Food was old. The lamb kofta and chicken shawarma was dry and didn't taste good. The Ayran yogurt drink had a bad smell. Their menu is lacking. Overall, just a bad experience and waste of money.

Amount of food is way too little for the money. Very poor value. For 18 pounds, I got a few pieces of meat, one tomato and pieces of onion. No salad at all. Total rip off. I get way bigger portions for much less money at other places. Not sure why so many people come here. Had to wait 20 minutes to get the food. What a disappointment. Will never be back.

Such a beautiful restaurant. The staff were really helpful, especially Osama who recommended the Shish Taouk grill, which was lovely. I would definitely recommend coming here.

The chef didn't listen or understand my requirements of adding everything ( pickles, lettuce, garlic etc ) except spicy paste into the "large kebab wrap", instead it seems like he didn't add any toppings at all. The previous chef they had, whenever we ordered from here was careful about the toppings. Its a shame that we may not order from here in future. Apart from that, the asthetics of the takeaway & the service at the counter is pleasent

I asked for mixed starter, but at the end when we were done eating they gave us an extra sallad that i thought was free but in the cashier they charged me for it even though i didn’t asked for it nor eat.

Food is banging. Authentic flavoursome and delicious. Portion sizes are generous to a fault. Defo worth a visit. Great value for money.

Only thing will mention about service very slow not the first time like this they bring the food but than we need waiting for plates to eat it and they totally forgetting we need to remember them after 5min on patiently waiting and thinking they will bring . My husband ordered tea after food forgot that as well to bring . And lentil soup this time was cold . Everything else is fine food nice

Estábamos en camino de un recorrido a pie y preparándonos para salir de la ciudad cuando olfateamos el delicioso aroma de este lugar y tuvimos que comprobarlo. Pedimos un par de envolturas grandes de pollo shawarma para llevar, y dieron en el lugar durante nuestro viaje. Mientras esperamos nuestra orden tuvimos la oportunidad de utilizar los baños y caminar por el comedor - todo muy limpio. Si volvemos a Glasgow nos aseguraremos de venir para una comida adecuada, pero ¡INCLUIRÁ el pollo shawarma!

Excellent food ... family mixed grill and various salads ordered..staff attentive and friendly...new decor really nice ..definitely worth a visit...this is one of the go to places on my families shortlist of food places.

It's one of the best places I have ever been to, I come all the way from Edinburgh just to enjoy the selection of Mediterranean foods served. Prices are fair for the food you enjoy. My kids always enjoy the place & atmosphere. Recommended always.

We had an amazing time at this restaurant! The staff truly went above and beyond to ensure we got everything we wanted. Our waitress was exceptionally nice and attentive, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. The food was delicious, and we loved every bite. Great service from very obliging,attentive waiting staff and the food was incredible, I can't recommend highly enough the arayes lamb starter,beautiful. Would not hesitate to go again and we came up the town from Balloch just to try it,after being recommenced by a friend. The staff have this covered, they're doing a great job,well done guys

Chicken shish was very delicious but chicken shawarma plate was equally bland

Had a takeaway grilled half chicken with rice- it was absolutely phenomenal. The chicken was beautifully seasoned and cooked, and the rice was perfectly spiced. One of the best takeaways I’ve ever had. I will be back!!

We ate here today. First time after the place went through a refurbishment. Very warm and cosy atmosphere now. Decor is magnificent. Food is great apart from the sauce. Would have preferred a Damasquino signature sauce rather then Heinz low salt ketchup 🤢. The food was very enjoyable apart the shwarma which was rock solid and cold.

A hit with the family! Really enjoyed our first visit - the hummus awarma and chicken shawarma wraps especially! Also the complimentary soup at the start was also delicious! The charcoal grill wasn't working sadly so we will be back to try the mixed grill! All really well priced for city centre and great ambience/table service!

Pasé y el olor que salía era tan delicioso que volvimos más tarde. Encantador entorno, limpio e inteligente, servicio amable, buen menú. Pedimos una parrilla mixta entre 3 con un par de lados. Todo estaba súper sabroso y estábamos muy contentos con nuestras elecciones. Los precios son razonables, el lugar tiene un buen ambiente.

It took them 45 min to make the falafel,although the restaurant was empty. I ordered take away, so I can eat it in the park. The naan was not in the bag. They didn't add cutlery. The girl who served me was a little bored and she didn't even bother to bring the order to me. Damasqino it's not my first time visiting, last time we had nicer food and far better service. I hope you will fix these issues. At least the falafel was tasty. Edit I went back after a few months. Under new management. A massive difference. Nice service, good food. Will return.

Food is terrible. Came home had a bad night on the pan. Never coming again and hope this review is beneficial.

Ambient place, clean and well presented with a good atmosphere Staff were relatively attentive. The meat was good - soft and succulent. Chips were different to the norm and decent. Portions were good and money wise, fairly priced. However, the rice was greasy and tasteless. Salad that came with dishes was a very poor coleslaw and just some lettuce. The sauces again were standard siracha and garlic could be better. Overall felt underwhelmed. It has the potential to be outstanding... Not being harsh, but constructive feedback.

This is maybe the best restaurant on the planet Earth. Cannot be better than that.

The treatment was bad. We were detained for a long time, and when we left, they said, “Show, then they said, ‘Get up, let people come instead of us.’ People thought we were coming, and we were detained. They let us sit for 10 minutes outside, and every once in a while, people would come in. We went to a second restaurant. The treatment was good, and the people were fine.”

We had dinner an it’s really bad! It’s really Disgusting!! I won’t recommend it to anyone

Arrived for 7pm booking 7.25 and still hadn't been approached for our order while others who were after us were served, we left extremely disappointed as we had been before the refurbishment and enjoyed it, we we offered an apology but decided to leave as we felt we waited long enough and were ignored.

Food was good everything else was subpar, worth visiting for a takeaway but not to dine in The food was definitely the best part of our experience here, the portions were decent but we were missing parts of our order- for example no bread arrived with our falafel main. The complimentary lentil soup was a nice touch! The service was not great as our starters and mains all arrived at the same time. After we finished our meal we were told to pay at front desk, which is fine but we were stood waiting at the busy front desk for the bill for around 15 minutes. When we finally got the bill we were wrongly charged for tea that we never ordered! It was busy and perhaps they did not have enough staff on in the restaurant? Which is a shame because the restaurant bit looked nice and new but I would be inclined to try other Lebanese restaurants in Glasgow before returning

I went in after working a little bit later at the office and decided to try the take away. I told (or I tried to tell) the guy who took my order that this was my first visit and I asked for guidance on the food on offer. he was very uncommunicative, and appeared to be unable to understand what I asked, he was impatient and did not appear to be able to understand my Glasgow accent. The girl who handed over my order glowered as she gave it to me. In fact I left there thinking that I had somehow inadvertently offended them. I think they may receive abuse from late night revellers after the pubs shut, or there may be some other reason for their frosty attitudes but I wouldn't go in there unless you know beforehand which Lebanese dish you want and don't expect even the pretence of a welcome.

The restaurant is not good. We ordered soup and they told us that we do not need to order it because it brings hospitality. We finished eating and the soup did not come. We ordered falafel and we were surprised because it came with a plate that contained nothing but falafel and tahini. Also, the meat was not level. We told them we wanted it very level. Also, the women’s bathroom is closed and there is one bathroom and it is always busy and standing. The food on the phone did not bring us a menu, the appetizers were not new, and the tabbouleh, in short, would not be repeated again.

Id say the prices are a bit expensive but when you taste the food, it kinda explains it. Amazing food ❤️🙏🏼

A clean and beautiful restaurant and worth a visit. I return to the same restaurant 4 times. The food is very delicious. I ordered a sweet and light Arabic chicken shawarma On my second visit, I ordered grilled meat, all of which were very delicious, especially the ribs, kebab, and hummus

Arabic Halal food in Glasgow, very tasty and good size portion, they offered a complimentary lentils soup. The salad was good , I ordered fatoosh, family mixed grill, hot salad.

Went here for a team night out and had an enjoyable meal. It wouldn't be my first choice but for those who love kebabs you won't be disappointed. There is no alcohol so if you are looking for a drink with dinner then it's really going to be soft drinks or water.

The restaurant is more than amazing in terms of atmosphere and service. I tried the hummus with meat, fattoush salad, meat arayes, Damascus grills, and lamb chops. The food was very delicious and the portions were well-balanced. It definitely deserves more visits.
