Came across this little cafe while stopping after a work meeting and so glad we did! Such great value for a large roll with filling of choice and was enchanted to be served tea in a real China teacup and saucer! Friendly service too thank you will definitely return when in the area!

Great traditional bar with fantastic beers, wines and whisky. Bar team are really friendly, the atmosphere is condusive to chat as no banging music! Great little find, close to our weekend accommodation

So nice to go for a nice coffee at Lantern Rouge. Greeted by Nicola in her usual friendly way. Joined at my table by one of the locals for a good old blether. Place was full and buzzy. Families, friends and a group of local ladies catching up. I come here not just for the coffee but the social hub which is much needed these days. It's a great place and I love it!

Lovely wee place with friendly staff. Had probably the nicest cake and nicest mocha I've had in years. Lovely selection of yummy stuff

Went there for a takeaway pizza and loved it! The names and everything really go with the name. The pizza was delicious and everything else did look pretty good!

I have been here on 2 seperate occasions and really liked the pasta. There is enough 'vegetarian ' options if you are prepared to accept parmesian (which I do...) I have had: - cacio e Pepe. Really good. - walnut pesto. Was OK - Arancini. Was OK - halloumi fries. Good. Really good value. Both times I came for dinner. Definately worth visiting for a pasta fix

Felt very intimidated when I walked in to use toilet and then purchase an item. Woman with blonde hair in a ponytail shouted at me and was very rude and making faces at me for using the toilet first after stating I was going to buy an item. Before being so concerned about you toilet use, you should probably have a look at your customer service :)

Una cálida bienvenida por parte de los anfitriones de este precioso bed and breakfast de Edimburgo. Habitación excepcionalmente limpia y acogedora. Ropa de cama y toallas de muy buena calidad. No hay nada que pueda criticar a Aaron Lodge. Estamos muy contentos de haber encontrado esta "joya" y sin duda no dudaríamos en recomendarla a cualquiera que desee un lugar limpio y cómodo para disfrutar explorando la ciudad. Gracias Ted y Dot por darnos la bienvenida a su encantador establecimiento ????

It’s a small chain, but it’s a good one! Very nice empire biscuits, and their rolls are delightful. Friendly staff too.

Been here a few times for a morning snack and hot drink. Always a warm welcome..it's nicely laid out inside. The mocha is 10/10!

Nice cafe and delicious homemade cakes, plenty of seating but not dog friendly- there is a bench outside to have a takeaway cake on though. Open Tues - Fri, 9am-2pm.

Friendly staff, excellent pastries, above-average coffee. Not advisable for groups of more than 4, but perfect for couples or single people.
