The best restaurants serving Asian food in Edinburgh and Lothian

First time dining at Shish Mahal and I was impressed with both the service and the food. The waiter when made aware of my dislike of dairy made sure that my food was dairy free. The portion of food was good and the food was delicious. I'd definitely return when next time in the area.

Ordered this and was given a 1 hour delivery slot. When that time, plus 25 minutes had passed, I called the restaurant to be told my order was ‘just finished cooking’ and would be another 15-20 minutes. However, it turned up 5-10 minutes later. I speculate that it had been ready, forgotten about and hastily reheated when I called. The starters were rubbery and lacking in flavour. The mains tasteless. The chips cold. Total waste of money and mostly went in the bin.

Good food, very cheap compared to places around. Service was great.

Two days back we came for Dinner the food was nice and the staff was really sweet spoken and friendly. So we came back next day but the other waitress was rude and annoyed. Yesterday was our last day at Edinburgh, we went back for dinner and the girl served us day before was there, she was extremely kind and her voice is so sweet dealing with customers.

**Order Number: 813E7** I ordered from Jollibee through Uber Eats, and once again, I was incredibly disappointed. This is the second time I've ordered from them, and both experiences have been awful. The food arrived cold, with half-cooked fries. The spicy chicken sandwich was not only cold, but the bun was rock hard. I also ordered the 3-piece spicy chicken, which was just terrible—hard, cooked in what looked like old, black oil, and cold as well. I feel like I’ve wasted my money, and I won’t be ordering from Jollibee again. They seriously need to step up their food quality for delivery.

Menu was a standard selection and the service was acceptable. Food was quick but didn't have a huge flavour kick. Perfectly pleasant and an ideal crowd pleasing takeaway.
