This review is for the kings building weekly Friday popup Have to say the crust is legit, the closest thing to true Neapolitan in Edinburgh. However toppings were scanty and it's thus not very umami, which is quite unfortunate There's another problem which is that when the crust is cold, it is quite tough. And since it is an outdoor popup, it turns cold quite quickly, before I could finish the slice Also it's ridiculously priced at 8£ for one slice

Tried this place tonight and was not dissapointed as the pizza was excellent. Was one ingredient missing from my pizza (fresh chilli) but was still absolutely dynamite.

Really like their pizzas, me and my wife find pizza geeks dough to be one of the best we had. The service is so lovely, the ladies working there are super friendly. Will definitely come back again.

Amazing pizza margarita, taste wise everything was so balanced, perfect crust, and good ammount of sauce and cheese. Also what I liked, that the basil was cut into pieces, which really increased the flavour.

Nearly everything can be made vegetarian and gf, not many pizza restaurants that offer use an inclusive menu

They always treat us quickly and are very friendly, the pizza dough is quality and is made in a wood-fired oven.

Came for a few drinks, didn’t get food but the pizza looked lovely, they have multiple vegan options clearly marked including vegan cheese and vegan pepperoni.

Regular customers at Haymarket for years, mostly takeaways but sitting in too. Great staff ,food and atmosphere. In the past month the old staff are gone and one guy there now is always rude, condescending, unhelpful and sarcastic. New website doesn't work as it clears when you try to add a 2nd extra topping (menus allows three) but he still insists we use that to order. Thanks to past staff but you've lost 3 regular customers.

Beautifully authentic pizza… Love the play on words with the menu… would 100% recommend going out your way to visit or if you are in the area !! The staff were super busy last night; Sunday. But we’re very accommodating and super quick service !

A few days ago I visited with my Fiancé and baby they managed to fit us in on a table as people were just leaving which I pointed out to the waitress as she was unaware. When I realised there were more suitable tables for baby buggy I said we could move to go there and that would free up a table for 6 as we didn't need all of that space. She just said buggy wouldn't fit, very disinterested member of staff, similar to other recent reviews here. We waited a long time for service and food to come even though it was busy when we arrived people were finishing up and leaving. My partners pizza came first and then she said mine won't be long as there was a problem with it so not really what you want to hear. I felt like it was to do with toppings as the dough seemed to be very cold and toppings hot but still not cooked. I felt as if the pizza was taken out when they realised and just added toppings last miniute. Not a great experience there were lots of flys didn't feel clean and it was very cold next to the open door. I will never return here Matto round the corner is better and will choose this next time.

Cold by delivery window kept open beside the only 2 comfy couch side tables in main area but other than that, cute gaming & arcade room didn't know about until after finished eating & went to the bathrooms. Wildling pizza was great with added chicken (that they generously let me have for free with the free promised pizza for helping their fringe stall out, thank you :)) Have to say their unique filled doughballs (we chose ham hock, mushrooms & mozzarella with garlic & sriracha mayo dips) win & surprisingly are tastier, softer & chewier than their pizza! Could order more of them repeatedly - heaven. Good to know their deals that aren't on their menu or website but just outside so posted.

Some dayz ago I just visit this restaurant I see the very bad behaviour of service staff that deals with a Delivery Rider The delivery rider looking too innocent but I listen the service staff abuse him that's not acceptable

The pizza here is excellent, the staff super attentive and the atmosphere is fun and relaxed and the pizza oven looks like R2-D2! The pizza oven is also in the main bit of the restaurant so you can watch the fire!

Wow amazing pizza, had the fantastic four. Coll decor, great tunes and nice welcoming staff. If your on Easter Road and fancy a pizza. This is the place to go.

Great pizza and with a wide selection of toppings; somewhat pricy for the size but the quality makes up for it. The app, however, is rubbish and adding requests such as to remove ingredients is difficult and doesn’t work very well. Also, the app is missing a number of menu items. It also doesn’t allow Apple Pay which means typing in card details which is needlessly complicated. Delivery was from close by (half a mile) but we ordered for delivery due to the number of pizzas (7) but they all arrived cold which was disappointing. Also all arrived uncut which was annoying for sharing with people with no option to ask for it to be cut. Exceptional pizza, let down by ordering and delivery experience.

Ashamed to say this was my first time(live just round the corner) but was blown away- delicious 4 macaroni bites and 4 cheese pizza,good choice of drinks and extremely friendly/helpful staff. Struggling to find any negatives other than my friend being totally distracted by the arcade games! Don't waste your time & money having pizza anywhere else!

Great pizza and beer. Only one of the arcade cabinets was working (an emulation machine). Only reason a 4 and not 5 is because we chose it expecting a few cabinets so kids could do something independently.

Wow! This restaurant was really fantastic! Not only did it look super appealing, as the sun was shining right on the seats in front of the restaurant! The service was super nice, although it took a while until we got our food because the restaurant was busy. The pizzas were simply amazing, super fruity tomato sauce and fluffy base! We'd love to come back!

Pre theatre visit for some pizza and libations. Superb pizza choice and beers selection. Worth going out your way to visit.

Great evening with friends. Staff were very busy with a full restaurant and big tables, we expected to wait a little longer than usual. Our server and kitchen looked slammed but we felt they were doing everything they could.

Hate to be a bit of a Karen but had a rather uniquely (for pizza geeks) negative experience, me and two friends turned up for the kyber mondays deal, only to be told after ordering drinks that this no longer on due to "not having enough dough", it would have been nice for a sign to be placed up so we couldve been aware before ordering drinks. In addition this was after waiting 10 minutes to be seated while there was tables free, we then waited another 10-15 mins for drinks, after ordering we waited over 45 minutes for food and had to actively ask for an update on our order, it seems it was forgotten about, luckily the nice lady was willing to offer us sides but really wasnt great. I get it gets busy and people are human but it definately didnt feel like a positive experience, the table of 4 that came in around when we came also seemed to have the same issue. It also seems there was a hidden service charge added to our order, usually a pretty great experience ordering from pizza geeks but this was extremely disappointing/offputting, particularly the waitress with the sleevless top that seemed rather disinterested/ignored us a few times when we tried to ask questions/ask how long our meal was going to take, didnt help that another table came in after and waited half as long to be served/get their food. Overall mixed/negative, not sure I will come back again.

Great food, we tried 4 pizzas with the special Monday offer and were very happy with the quality and choice. The staff couldn't have been nicer, and made us feel very welcome with our 9 month old. Also refreshing to not be charged an arm and a leg for soft drinks! We'll definitely be back.

Good pizza, a little bit on the soggy side. The „geek“ ambience and decor is very nice and makes it a place to remember.

First day in Edinburgh, first meal at home. Excellent waiter who was adorable in showing us places to visit.

We arrived as a group of 4 adults with 3 toddlers and 2 babies in tow. We were made to feel extremely welcome and I never imagined we'd feel so relaxed in a restaurant with so many young children. The food was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful and it's very chilled in there. Love the arcade machines as well - they kept the kids happy while we waited for food. I hadn't been to other venues, but it's great having this one on Easter road! The pizzas are great and they also introduced cocktails now (The Bantha Milk one was great on suggestion from our server Liam). We went on a Saturday afternoon, but the service was quick and the pizzas were sooo delicious. Definitely will be visiting again to try some of the other cocktails!

Glad to see Pizza Geeks in larger premises in Leith. Enjoyed my large 'Millenium Chicken' which cost £14. It had good amounts of delicious shredded chicken, red onion and punchy peppers. The dough is top not and cooked on an authentic Neapolitan way. There was also a drizzle of sweet,smoky BBQ sauce that contrasted well with the tomato base. Service was very good and they had a decent range of local (Pilot) beers on tap

Pizza is absolutely delicious! Staff are lovely. Restaurant is so cool with arcade machines and a piano through the back. Also the Machete Bites are devine!!

We visited Pizza Geeks on 5th January for a birthday. Our group which included 3 children were well entertained with the various games and piano, atmosphere was great. The staff were very attentive and friendly and answered any menu questions perfectly. Food was outstanding. Thoroughly recommend!

Delighted that Pizza Geeks are on Easter Rd - fantastic spot for a chill evening, unreal pizzas and the added bonus of entertainment with their arcade/games room. Love the vibes, easy to spend hours, eating, drinking and gaming!

This is very a very friendly place and the staff are very welcoming and helpful. The atmosphere, the music and the food was first class also it family friendly. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Asked for a large fish and chips and got a greasy fish with 12 chips, the spicy Milano pizza was poor, and uncut, says to me there's no effort for the customer, my first order too..

Have recently just found this wonderful,cafe /restaurant I can't t seem to pass without popping in for a coffee and pastry/cake. The pizza is made to perfection and planning on going through the menu, I highly recommend a visit, you won't be disappointed The staff are welcoming and the music just makes this place a special find in Easter Rd. a vert happy local. #JacobDeerCooking @deerartem Today I visited that absolutely fantastic place on Easter Road. Very much hipster, I would even say the most hipster place in Edinburgh. Food wise, I get panini with good cheese and great quality salami plus black croissants with homemade blueberry jam. Both very good ☺️ I would like to try more after covid and I’m wondering what else they would invent in that promising place. They have interesting kambucha, org chocolate and much more to try and eat. Cheap coffee (didn’t try) and curious coffee with turmeric 😋 Inside you can find magical place totally crazy like from the dream 🤪 definitely visit. As I’m cooking I would like to see the homemade cakes in that place and more interesting simple combinations on the plate. I definitely will be visiting as I live just around the corner.
