Firstly girl behind counter you could fit a carpet in her bottom lip
Looked depressed
No please no thank you
Anyways on to the next girl
Blonde hair
I waited like 5 mins for my order 😩
I thought they had forget about it. When I approached the counter to ask they put there hand up and says you'll get yr drink when it's ready
I run my own shop just up road and would never or never even thought about treating a customer like that even when it's quiet nevermind busy
Was recommended here as I am celiac and they have a gf menu. As we were unsure what time we would be going (prior commitment before hand) I did not book. We arrived at 2.45pm and there was a sign outside saying 'bookings only, no walk ins' This was NOT on their website. We went in and spoke to a female member of staff who advised exactly what the sign had said. I then spoke to a male member of staff and asked where on their website it stated what the sign said, he said it didn't. Advised that due to rugby being on, they were unusually busy. The restaurant is large and they were not full to capacity. Asked if there was anyway we could have a table for 2 for an hour, point blank told no.
We won't be returning.
Mi hija eligió aquí para su comida de cumpleaños número 17 ya que es GF y escuchó que el rango era grande. ¡Ella no estaba equivocada! Gracias 🍕
We approached the café at 9am with laundry and were greeted by four Scottish Terriers who were apparently running the place, until Graham arrived up the stairs to ask what the heck we wanted...and we knew immediately we were in the right place! I've read some of the reviews, and if you don't understand Graham in the first 5 seconds of him opening his mouth, you don't deserve to be there...and I am pretty sure Graham will know/sense it himself. I think he relishes poor reviews. But we felt immediately at home, and once we passed the "test", Graham was the perfect host. I had to put up with insults on my lack of fashion sense and some uncomfortable history lessons regarding the villainy of George Washington, but my wife and I would not trade our experience for anything! Graham practically did our laundry for us, made us coffee, and even gave me a lovely (empty) can of haggis. Thank you for the experience Graham! I hope you enjoy the US Dollar Bill (with Washington on it)...and I won't forget that American history is really Scottish history!
After reading lovely reviews about the afternoon tea served at The Glasshouse, I booked the 'Scottish Afternoon Tea' for 2 as a treat for my daughter-in-law's 30th birthday for her and my son. As I was in Edinburgh the week before, I called in and paid for this in advance.
Unfortunately, on the day, my daughter-in-law who was 32 weeks pregnant, was unwell and unable to travel to Edinburgh, so the booking had to be cancelled.
I emailed the duty manager on 2 occasions to ask if a refund would be possible.
If I hadn't prepaid there wouldn't have been an issue about a refund and the hotel would have simply had to acknowledged the cancellation, which I'm sure happens from time to time.
I had an initial response from the duty manager saying he/she would look into it but on sending a second email a week later, I have yet to have either a response or a refund.
I appreciate last minute cancellations must be annoying and costly for hotels but sometimes they are completely unavoidable.
Top tip - don't pre-pay for services unless you have to!
I was up working nightshift at Cockenzie and looked for a nearby chippy first night I was there. Found this place it even had a wee car park outside to eat your meal. The staff were very friendly and extremely polite I had a fish supper it was absolutely delicious no after taste of grease at all. The fish supper was also very cheap over £1.00 cheaper than my local chippy but the fish was 10 times better in quality and twice as good in quantity. It was that good i was there every night i was in area working. The public in Port Seton are so lucky to have such a cheap but quality takeaway. Well done Carlos and staff I will be back
One of the best pizzas i have ever tasted, i had the Etna pizza, absolutely delicious. I had leftovers and it was still great reheated in the oven on days 2 & 3.
We ate here before the Lion King with the VIP Ambassador Lounge deal and it was all very good . I had read some of the negative reviews and was a bit wary after booking but it was a really nice experience. The food was fine , we had chicken skewers and soup and burgers and there was no complaints , but the service was excellent . The girls who served us were efficient and very friendly. They took us up to the lounge and again we had friendly service . All made for a great night , well done
Me and my partner fancied a nice chippy with a view and we had seen that this was meant to be the best in the queensferry area so we made the 40 minute drive here, we ended up arriving to the place completely closed. Nothing has been said on the Facebook about it being shut and couldn’t see any other info anywhere else. We arrived at around 5pm and it’s a Tuesday so we definitely arrived within advertised opening times. Luckily another chippy in the area was open so we went there instead and it wasn’t a completely wasted trip but wanted to warn others incase they have the same happen.
