The Malt Shovel is located on one of the nicest streets in the city. It's been 21 years since we were here. It was nice then and now it was great again. Very pleasant reunion with this pub. A lot of tasty beers (I did not have whisky this time), good pub food (Balmoral burger with haggis was delicious) and the service was friendly and good.

Didn't eat here, stopped for a drink great atmosphere very popular pub busy but was quite quick at getting a drink.

Stopped by Burger King for a quick bite, and the Whopper hit the spot—super fresh and tasty! Even though there was a bit of a line, the service was impressively fast and the staff were incredibly friendly. Got exactly what I ordered, no hassle. Definitely coming back!

Fui al Golf Tavern el domingo antes de Navidad con mi hijo e hija para almorzar. Mi hija tomó el sándwich del club que ella disfrutó y yo y mi hijo tuvimos el pastel de carne. La tarta de filete estaba excelente pero había demasiada carne para que la terminara! : ) Cuidado con tus márgenes de beneficio : )

Avoid if busy or not a regular. Booked a table for Sunday lunch and were ignored from arrival. Was busy, but basic service went out the window. Impossible to be served at the bar (no table service). Was there for a birthday celebration, but quickly moved across the road to a warm welcome.

Made an order on JustEat, and they cancelled it saying they were closed. I made the order at 2pm on a Saturday, and the opening times say you're open to 9:30pm.

El servicio era perfecto, particularmente Safi (disculpas si me equivoco de nombre) que era muy educado y atento. La comida era muy buena y no hay problemas para hablar con nosotros a través de las opciones sin gluten para mi pareja. Las únicas mejoras que diríamos es que las sillas necesitan una actualización, pero no algo que estuviéramos muy preocupados considerando que la comida y el servicio eran tan buenos.

Great Italian style food in a unique setting.Not cheap but but also not ridiculous. Worth it for the quality of food and service. The associated deli/shop is also interesting to browse.

Absolute joke of wait times in drive through taking orders every 5 minutes

Be aware that if you only go into the bar area, order drinks at the bar, as is customary, and take them back to your seat, you'll be met with a 12.5% service charge. A joke of a scam. What do you pay for a pint, if not for it to be passed to you at the bar? Toilets also could do with cleaning...

As ever the haggis balls are fantastic .

We come here quite a lot family fave. Service is brilliant as always a lot of us so they really accommodate. Had the Carvery before which is nice & good value for money. Burgers r pretty good too. Wee play area bit for the younger ones inside & also a playpark outside which is brill in summer swings, basket swing slide etc.

They charge 5p more than the menu price if you pay at the til vs paying in the app. I got tall latte to go by the way. £3.25 on menu, £3.30 pay at til, £3.25 pay in app.

The portions are very large and satisfying, and the prices are affordable. The staff is friendly and helpful.
