El encantador personal nos dio la bienvenida a cada uno de nosotros, ya que llegamos y nos registramos regularmente, pero no por encima, todo estaba bien. El almuerzo de dos platos es una ganga absoluta (menos de 40 para 4 personas, incluida media pinta de cerveza) con una buena variedad de opciones. Todos estaban deliciosos, pan pan bellamente ligero. El restaurante es enorme, pero nos sentamos en una mesa en una pequeña área elevada que parecía casi una cena privada. Gran lugar para ponerse al día con los amigos.

Had a really tasty meal tonight, we hadn't booked but as usual we were given a table, Shany was so attentive and very friendly he really went the extra mile to make sure we were happy. We were, food was extremely tasty. We will be back soon

¡Quisiéramos probar el menú de tapas (anunciado en línea) solo para saber que ya no está disponible! ! Dado el menú del almuerzo de Navidad en lugar de 12 por 3 cursos, incluyendo poppadoms, fue un valor increíble! La comida era normal, el servicio estaba bien, y afuera, en extrema necesidad de una renovación, ¡pero no puedo quejarme de esos precios!

Went here for my nieces 21st Birthday and they managed to completely ruin her evening. She had booked the meal well in advance and had pre-ordered bottles of pink prosecco. When I arrived I was asked if it was the small bottles she required and I advised the staff of the bottles she wanted. When they finally started to serve it ( over an hour later) they brought out ordinary bottles despite all the phone calls and checking with me on my arrival. It then took another 15 minutes for them to find the correct bottles and I ended up opening them and taking them to the table!! Our booking was for 6.30 and we didn't get our starters until 8.15. By this time the restaurant was really busy and it was painfully obvious that there weren't enough staff on to cope with this. Despite this the owner still took in a party of 20 that hadn't booked and put them in the function room. Rather than say no other people that turned up that they were full he just kept taking them in and filled the bar area as well. Because of this we did not get our main courses until after 9.15 and by this time some of our table were past eating. Just as well really as the mains were brought out first followed by the rice and naan breads some time later, by which time the mains had started to cool down. As if all this wasn't bad enough, my husband went to the disabled toilet and the staff managed to switch the lights off on him causing him to pull the alarm cord, they just smiled when I complained and didn't apologise.

Comimos aquí hace unos años y estábamos un poco decepcionados. Parece estar bajo nueva administración ahora, y fuimos a cenar hace un par de semanas. La comida era deliciosa y las porciones son generosas, así que decidimos volver.La visita de regreso tuvo lugar el viernes pasado por la noche y nuevamente nos impresionó. Hubo un par de pequeños inconvenientes (rodaja de limón en ginebra de pepino, y un pedazo de pakora que escapó del plato) pero la comida era excelente y el servicio amable, si no sofisticado.Regresaremos de nuevo.

Fui allí para una cena con mi hija. Personal muy amable y excelente cocina. Los platos están bien presentados y satisfarían cualquier apetito saludable. Solo di una calificación de cuatro estrellas ya que, aunque mi hija me había invitado, encontré que nuestra comida era un poco costosa

Llegué buscando un lugar para un bocado sonrisa, encontré este lugar. La verdad es que no parecía increíble desde el exterior y no creo que podría servir para el almuerzo, pero yo estaba equivocado ya que pronto resultó recibió un muy bien distribuido. Samosa vegetal tenía un arranque (sólo uno para el plural a pesar de que ofrecían en el menú, pero lo suficientemente apetecible) que estaba acompañado de algunos deliciosa salsa. La cena en sí era genial. Las bebidas son un poco caras

Fuimos para menú de almuerzo, gran cata de arranque y un lugar en el auténtico curry con naan y arroz. Mujer fue opción para vegetarianos y sorprendió la calidad. Muy buena comida con un servicio estupendo. Volveré para el completo menú de noche. Tan feliz que la comida era real y fresca cocina india. El servicio fue excelente gracias dama y siento sin propina. La próxima vez solucionará ya que no tenia cambio. Gran trabajo.

Muy ansiosos de nuestra comida. Llegamos pedí bebidas y comida. Entrante recibido, precioso. Una hora 20 minutos más tarde llegó un camarero nos preguntó si estábamos 'listo para comer". ¿Eh?Estaban muy ocupados, pero parece que se olvidaron de nosotros. Nos dieron una comida pero eran entregadas a comer.Noche terrible.No sacar dinero de la cuenta, pero no para la noche nulas.

Had late lunch which was passable. Have been a few times in the evening when it was excellent. Service good. It is an attractive restaurant with excellent parking.

Nice restaurant, food is great. Staff a bit standoffish need to be more smiley and welcoming for the experience to be great. Been a number of times no complaints. Worth a visit

This is the best Indian Resturant that I have been to and we go regulary the food is excellent the bar is very smart and the service is 5 star

Hemos comido aquí varias veces, pero sólo porque vivimos cerca. Las primeras veces que hice, pero ya que el sitio nunca ha sido más de la mitad aparecimos en una noche sin reserva. A pesar del hecho de que estaban ocupadas sólo unos 4 mesas, la mujer hosco en la caja registradora dije al camarero que nos unirá a otra pareja esperando en el vestíbulo donde nos hicieron esperar durante 10 a 15 minutos antes de concederse permiso para ser mostrada a una mesa en el comedor. Obviamente, fue un 'castigo' por no haber reservado. Debo decir, sin embargo, que estaba bastante entretenido por este comportamiento infantil. Bien de comer, pero cero ambiente. No puedo recomendar.

Smart looking restaurant let down by very very average food and overpriced food . Staff managed by a very rude lady who spreads bad vibes all around.Its a shame, there is nothing to reccomend about it .

Just been here on the recommendation of an Indian lady who was teaching us to make curry, saying its the only one in Edinburgh she goes to. It was fantastic, one of the best Indian meals we have had. They have just won curry of the year award and well deserved too.

Daldip and the Team AGAIN did an amazing job looking after me and 10 mates on Monday night, we are regular visitors and even though there are many Indian restaurants in our area we never stay away for long...... The food, service, ambience was just perfect... there was nothing but clean plates all around the table. My Pakora was superb and the Lamb Madras was tender and totally delicious... and looking after 11 hungry blokes is no easy task and the operational team were right on the money...My favorite Indian Restaurant in Edinburgh by a long way...Great food, Great Team, Great Value... see you soon!!

Enjoyed good meal here in early evening. Restaurant not too busy but seemed long wait for food. Service pleasant but erratic. Good portions with enough left to take away. Definitely worth another visit.

Menu includes southern Indian options. Food and friendly service was excellent and well presented. We then went though into large lounge area and had desert there rather than at the table.

Buffet wasnt topped up, had to ask for drinks and cutlery, plates lay on the table the whole duration of our meal, the waitress appeared once only to tell us we couldn't eat no more from the buffet. Absolutely rubbish service! First time there will definitely be our last.

We went to this restaurant as part of a large group, on arrival there was a disco set up which looked rather strange for the type of place that it was. We asked for the music to stop and the flashing lights which were distracting. Apart from that the food was very good and the service too which was quiet quick once we had ordered. Would recommend the place for the food alone !!!

My Dad wanted to come here so I agreed. Prices probably average for a restaurant but the food was a real let down in my opinion. The starter was a pakora that was thick and stoggy with minimal filling - not nice at all. The popodoms were good and the dips/very tasty albiet not conventional. I had a madras and it tastes like the cook in sauce from the supermarket - did not have any depth at all, very disappointing. Also ordered a potato bread side dish which was greasy, tastless and horrible texture. The bar area at the front was a nice idea but really loud music make it not a grea space to have a quiet drink. My Dad felt the table in the middle which we were sat at lacked any atmosphere. It is not even that reasonably priced!! I will not return unless the review improve!!

Curry would not be my first choice at lunch time but this was perfect. Three of us shared starters and mains from the set menu and we thoroughly enjoyed each dish. I particularly liken the chicken tikka starter - succulent and tender. The lamb main was my favourite between lamb, chicken, and fish dishes. We shared nan - they thoughtfully provided three pieces, and rice.The portion size was perfect and satisfied without that bloated feeling. The service was excellent (I liked the fact that they did not try to play us with extras as main Indian restaurants do). The Cobra beer was an ideal complement to a tasty and spicy (without being too hot) lunch.The restaurant was not busy and so it lacked atmosphere - we were amused to note that we were given paper napkins but many tables were set with linen (for evening diners?). A bar service is available and limited seating outside

Lovely surroundings, polite staff and superb value on set lunch.Food excellent- varied choice for starters and mains compared to normal set lunch -butter chicken was especially good.Well worth a visit.

In an area bereft of restaurants of any sort, it is little short of miraculous to find an excellent Indian restaurant. I think this should to be a somewhat dodgy pub, and there is still a large "drinking area" which, to be fair actually looks very attractive and would be a nice place to enjoy a drink.The restaurant itself is really nicely done out, with large tables, white tablecloths and tasteful décor. Everything we ate was really good - the usual poppadums stuffed mushrooms ( very tasty) and crispy chilli squid. The squid could have stood more chilli , but it was a decent effort. We then had 3 mains between 4 , all good. The tandoori chicken was a notable version, as were the butter chicken and prawn Goan curry. Nice pilau and nan. The service was also excellent - attentive, fast and courteous. So - a great find, we will definitely return.

Recommend to everyone! Great food, well seasoned! If you have never eaten an Indian food go there really delicious courses! Reasonable prices!

Seriously the best indian restaurant in EDINBURGH. Atleast now i do not have to go down london to get my indian food fix anymore.I"ve had just everything there and nothing has disappointed me yet. My favourite dishes would have to be the lamb palak and the punjabi chicken masala with the garlic chilli naans.I had the king tiger prawns on my last visit and that was totally outstanding,anyone who loves fish or prawns with the distinctive flavours,please try this place OUT!!!

Last night we had a great meal with an interesting mix of starters (meat platter & vegetable platter). The food was good quality & I liked the compact menu. Sometimes less is more. It was busy, vibrant with a great atmosphere. There was a Indian birthday celebration happening which added glitz to the dining experience. The waiters were pushed a little so service could have been better however there were lovely apologies & an amuse bouch as a complimentary 'sorry'. Great night & we will be returning. Thank you.

Beautifully refurbished restaurant with friendly relaxing atmosphere. Everything we sampled and ordered from the interesting menu, was freshly cooked and served by efficient and attentive staff. Dishes on the menu were from many different regions of India, but waiters took time to explain the ingredients as well as how mild or spicy the food was. Whether you are familiar with Indian food or not, the choice of fine dining or tapas makes it worth a visit. We will certainly be back soon, and highly recommend it to all.
