Mariya was such a great server, very attentive and the pizza was super tasty 😋

Euan, Euan, Euan. What a force to be reckoned with. From the second we stepped into Pizza Express it felt like home. Euan greeted us with a warm smile. The best smile I may have ever seen. I applaud management for putting such a gorgeous bloke up from, great way to draw in a crowd. He sat us like we were his family and elaborately explain the menu. There was not one question that needed to be answered because he explained it that well. After some fun conversation, he rushed away to ensure our drinks arrived in a timely manner. The drinks, phenomenal, but I think it was because Euan was serving. Total babe. I personally think he needs a promotion and should probably be used for advertising. Either way, I will be returning to Scotland only on the promise that Euan will be there when I arrive. Cheers!!!

Used to eating Italian food, I entered the restaurant a little skeptical being in Scotland. Indeed, there are particular pizzas on the menu, but it is still possible to find a simple margherita. I was surprised, the pizza is good, the dough remains very soft and the ingredients are excellent, better than some restaurants I have been to in Italy. The staff is friendly.

Amazing macaroni! Something new for a wee treat. We got a side of macaroni and some dough balls to share. Perfect for a light lunch. Staff friendly and fast service.

This was sooooo good! Definitely the best pizza we’ve had since we’ve been in the UK. And Emily, our server, was INCREDIBLE! She patiently answered questions, double checked things with her manager, checked on us, refilled water etc. What a great experience! I hope all the Pizza Expresses are like this because this definitely made us want to return!!

When in the UK, Pizza Express is always a must. Bright, contemporary interior and very good food. Thank goodness there are several in Edinburgh. Our server was ‘Storm.’ A recent move from the Channel Islands to EDI led her here and what a delight she was. We ordered a glass of Chardonnay, two thin-crust pizzas (we could easily have shared one.) So very good. A bottle of Shiraz, a mixed salad, Tiramisu and a wedge of Honecomb pie. About 83 Pounds. Can’t wait to return again.

Host was really nice, but the waiter that took my order took ages to deliver my main and a second glass of wine. I had to ask for them twice. She was talking to other waiters and ignoring me, while I was looking at her, really unprofessional. Get pizza, I ordered a chicken parmigiana and it was terrible. £40 directly to trash. There are better places around. Skip this one.

My favourite Pizza Express used to be the one in Victoria Street Edinburgh. However things have changed here and standards would appear to have dropped. The welcome we received on arrival was not the best and the manager was not the friendliest. The waitress who served us was very friendly and made up for the cold welcome. We have been customers of Pizza Express for many years and recently have seen a drop in the quality of the pizza’s offered. We had a Romana Polo ad Astra pizza and a Romana Padana pizza. We prefer the Romana base as it’s thinner than the normal pizza but now it’s so thin you can barely pick it up ! Also because it is so thin it doesn’t stay hot and the reduced fillings haven’t had enough time in the oven to heat up properly. When these pizzas are put on cold plates they don’t stay warm for long. At nearly £17 a pizza I would expect better quality. This is normally our favourite Pizza Express but Can’t wait until all the scaffolding outside is down so that we can people watch again and look down Edinburgh’s most beautiful street. The scaffolding has been up now for 2-3 years yet there has never been any effort to brighten the restaurant or dress the windows to help lift the mood. It would also have been good if the prices had been reduced during the construction work to reflect the inconvenience to customers and would perhaps help somewhat to fill the restaurant with customers instead of just relying on tourists for a short period of the year.

A lovely meal away from the hustle and bustle but only a step away from the Royal Mile. Currently the outside of the building is being renovated, but don’t let this put you off - it is in a great location when exploring Edinburgh, the staff were really friendly and the service was fast. The food was great and our 6 year old loved it too. Would definitely recommend!

Had a great meal here during Fringe fest. We booked ahead because a different location turned us away the night before. I'm so impressed by the level of customer service during these crazy busy nights. The host and our server were so friendly and calm amongst all the chaos. My partner isn't familiar with Pizza Express so it was his first dough ball experience and he loved it. The food was fast, the pizza was delicious, the wine was perfect, but above all, the service was fantastic. If we come back to Edinburgh, we'll definitely swing by this location again.

Waiters just watched us wait while they chatted , Emily finally sat us down with a menu and everyone just watched us wait forever until she came back to take our order , food took so long that we had to do take away which took sooo long to get out even after we’ve paid , mind you the shop want busy . Everyone was expecting the other to do it and Nobody actually did .

Waited for ages at their door to be seated, and the reception woman was extremely rude and unfriendly. The overall service was bad, The food was okay.

Overall, dining at this restaurant was a delight from start to finish. The delicious food, impeccable service by the lovely Maria, made for a memorable experience.

Great post show meal. We were welcomed quickly and shown to our pre-booked table. Delicious starters, fab choice of pizza and really tempting desserts (try the lime and basil sorbet) Superb service from the really delightful Euan who was charm personified and couldn’t do enough to help. The best waiter this side of Fife😀 10/10 Euan. Thank you for making our night!

As busy as the festival makes it I was a solo diner without a reservation. Great food and recommendation by Euan. Highly recommend the passionfruit martini as well. Chocolate brownie for dessert was pretty awesome too. Just what I needed.

We were eating dinner and talking and have been rudely interrupted by the fire alarm (I have sensitive hearing which a ringing in my head for hours after) although staff were polite and gave a 40% discount on top of our meal cost which isn’t enough for our ruined meal!

We turned up during the end of the Great Crowdflare internet outage, without booking. The staff had obviously had a difficult and long day but were welcoming and enthusiastic regardless. The food was tasty and delivered to the table surprisingly fast.

It's a pizza express! It's a bit out of the way, but great when starving, and since I was a single person, they really took care of me, which was sweet The calamari was breaded and cooked in the oven, which was fine, but I was expecting it to be deep-fried

Wonderful service catering to a very large group with 0 issues

Not been to PE for years..my friends choice not mine. I'm not a big pizza fan but do love lasagne. Well...I ordered the lasagne but the small dish that came was predominantly tomato and bechamel sauce with a miniscule amount of meat and if there was pasta in there, it was so flacid and thin - I couldn't taste it. I'm genuinely AMAZED they can get away with this, their profit must be huge...never ever again will I waste my money here. The only nice thing about my meal was the two large glasses of Malbec I had. Service was good btw

Won £20 omaze vouchers for pizza express. Went to order for collection online and to take advantage of free dough ball offer and gift card codes don’t work online. Had to drive to store to order where codes work but as now having to order in store, couldn’t get the free dough balls. Over £20 for a pizza on its own which could be bought from a chippy for £10-£12. Absolute con that gift cards won’t work online to force you in store where offers can then not be taken advantage of. Gift cards are like cash and should be able to be used like that. Won’t be back

Because of the construction, we only found it because we knew where we wanted to go. Again very tasty, 2x pizza - could be bigger but totally recommended for us and so close to the Royal mile and Victoria Street. Clean, tidy, friendly staff - we'll definitely go there again.

It was a takeaway order today .. the food was very tasty , but I think the waitress is having some emotional issue or the admins deprive her some benefits 😅 She was very angry 😎

Reasonable price, good food quality, attentive waiter service

Waitress was rude, pushy, and proceeded to make myself and my family feel so uncomfortable during ordering that it literally made us decide to leave. She cut us off when speaking, told us we hurt her brain, and then yelled at us when we asked her to stop being so crass with us. All five of us got up and left as she continued to yell while other tables looked on as the embarrassing event took place. She refused to give her name. However, she was redheaded and had on round black glasses. I do not recommend this restaurant.

The red head server wearing black round glasses was extremely rude the moment we walked in. We were cut off several times while trying to order. While we were ordering, she told us she only had one cook? She then gave us dirty glasses for water. We asked for clean glasses and a better attitude. She claimed she didn't have an attitude and that she offended. We asked her name, which she would not disclose.

We came on a Monday evening, so it was pretty quiet and there was only a couple of other tables in. Fantastic service, good came quickly and was delicious!

Food is great and the service is exceptional, especially staff Georgina. She is very patient and very hospitable.

Had a lovely experience in the Edinburgh pizza express for lunch time. Great food and all around lovely quick and attentive service from Ula today she was great! Made having lunch very effortless and enjoyable, 10/10 afternoon would definitely come back if in the area again.

We’re already die hard Pizza Express fans but honestly what an asset this guy is to your company. He was warm and welcoming, incredibly patient and very efficient! Family meal and we were served by Euan. He was great - friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and articulate. You know what you’re getting with Pizza Express, and it’s ideal for both adults & children. I’ve loved their pizza for years. Kids’ menu is also excellent.

From a tourist's point of view, this was a welcomed break from the salvo of "traditional Scottish food," and fish and chips eateries! Plus, the experience was faster than normal overseas dining pace. We had a tour booked but didn't have time to sit for the normal hour or more dining experience where the waiter checks on you once and you wait forever for the bill at the end. Pizza Express was not that typical experience. We got in, had pizza, wings, arancini, and a few drinks, and then we were on our way to our tour. And, the waiter was super friendly, helpful, and expedient. The pizza was a thin crust so the toppings really shined through without being too over filling. The mushroom arancini was a good accompaniment. Their Pizza Pal beer was refreshing and not too overbearing so it didn't sit too heavy before our upcoming two hour walking tour. We would totally eat here again the next time we travel to Edinburgh.

We ducked in here on a whim to escape torrential rain. They got my pizza wrong & our server was very dismissive about it, and carried on clearing tables instead of rectifying it. I had to ask the very helpful manager to sort it but my daughter had finished by the time my correct order arrived. 2 pizzas, 1 portion of doughballs, 1 portion of sorbet & a drink each came to £63 which is a bit steep! Nice pizza but not worth the hassle nor the cost.

Staff that greeted us went out of their way to find us a table for nine people with a child and an adult on a wheel chair. Waitress who assisted us was also vey helpful and anticipating to our needs. We ordered pizzas that were bigger than the plate so tasty and delicious. Can't recommend more this place :)

This is a very good pizza express with lovely waiters who are happy to help when ever you need it. The food is also very good and I would recommend the doughballs with garlic butter.....Yum! It was very speedy from when we sat down to the last course.Overall, this is a very good restaurant and I would definitely recommend it.

I had dinner, dough balls in blankets, festival pizza, and drink, on New Year’s Eve. Food in high quality as always, and Georgie, who served at my table, is very kind, friendly, and helpful. Enjoyable stay!

Ate here on NYE, such a wonderful atmosphere and it's all thanks to the staff. In particular, Euan was especially lovely and very helpful with my allergy. He was friendly and happy and made our experience a 5* one, thank you Euan!
