It was my first time at Nando's. The employee explained how it works, and after that, everything went smoothly. You order food using the QR code on your phone, specify your table, pay, and wait for it to be brought to you. You pour your own drinks. You get your own cutlery, as well as the various options for seasoning or spicing up the food. Everything was very tasty, the medium spice level was fine for me; I'll probably choose something spicier next time.
All in all, I liked it a lot.
Where do I start? I booked a table for 8pm on 15th December 2024 for my family and I. Upon arrival we were shown to our table and told someone would be with us shortly. The restaurant was relatively quiet at this point.
After 15 minutes of staff ignoring us a young staff member who’s personal hygiene was questionable approached us and asked if we would like some thing to drink. We all ordered soft drinks.
At this time we asked to be moved tables as we felt quite cramped in the area we were in. I didn’t think this would be an issue as the restaurant was quiet. I was told there were no other tables available.
A short time later the staff member arrived and put down 5 bottles of coke and 7up.
At this time we realised there was a slug on one of the bottles. The staff member apologised and removed the slug but left us with the bottles. He did not supply glasses so I assume he expected
My wife to drink out of the bottle that the slug had just been attached to.
I then informed another member of staff of this who told the original staff member to supply glasses. He did this but offered no apology and offered no ice for the drinks.
The next issue - I approached the food service area and ordered my selection of food. I noted that there were hardly any selection of vegetables or potatoes. I also noted that the service area was filthy with food that had clearly spilled over and had been sat there for some time.
I then had the unfortunate experience of approaching the gravy counter. Again this was filthy (photo attached).
I then realised that we hadn’t even been supplied cutlery.
Once sat down to begin my meal, after I had to approach the bar staff as there was not any waiting staff to be seen to collect cutlery I looked around me and noted that the walls were covered in stains and had clearly not been cleaned in a long time. (Photo attached). I then looked up to see that the ceiling was mouldy. (Another photo attached).
We were then pretty much ignored again by staff and were not approached until we asked for the bill.
We then had the pleasure of paying over £92 for this experience.
This experience has quite possibly been the worst experience I have ever had at any restaurant I have ever been too.
My wife holds a food hygiene certificate due to her line of work and noted that staff overalls were dirty, staff were behind the serving counter, not wearing protective equipment with their hair not covered.
I think I would have preferred to have eaten at Fawlty Towers.
¿Volvería probablemente no
We were just casually scrolling and ended up here for dinner—and it turned out to be a great choice. The chicken ramen was delicious, super comforting, and flavorful. I also really enjoyed their in-house blend tea (I think that’s what it was called?)—a nice surprise that went perfectly with the meal. Definitely a solid spot for a quick, satisfying dinner.
When things go well it's very good - plenty of seating outside in the nice weather and there will be plenty space inside when (if?) they get they Saddle Room finished. However, when it is busy things can go downhill. Staff are pleasant but could be better organised and there doesn't seem to be anyone in charge. As a result it can often run out of things including beer and glasses (be prepared to get served in a plastic container if you are sitting outside at busy times). Booking is essential at peak times and the kitchen closes quite early.

I am very happy that I found this place. Every time I visit this place, or order your food home, I can expect fresh and very good food. I have never failed. I will recommend. Greetings
Netter Pub, aber überteuertes Essen. Fish and Chips geschmacklich gut, aber etwas wässriger Fisch. Toiletten fast genauso versifft wie in anderen Pubs. Man hat das Gefühl sich nach dem Hände waschen die Hände waschen zu müssen.
Sat at the table for over 20 mins and watched as 3 other tables get served before us despite us being there first !!! What an absolute joke of a place , I’d like to say I will be back but I won’t !!!!!!!
Now to post on trip advisor.!!!
