Very salty and sludgy rice dish, seemed like it was made with peanut butter. Luke warm. Uncomfortable seats, noisy. Staff trying their best but I would not go there again (other ITSUs eg in London are nothing special but OK).

Fast Japanese food. Staff are always friendly and receptive. The location is clean, despite how busy it gets. I never struggle to find a place to sit either, even though it's frequently busy.

I can recommend sushi. Great service today in the morning. Fast. Thank you 😁

The quality of the food was poor (the salmon from the sushi box had a strange taste, although not fresh). The worst thing concerns the hygiene which is absent and, despite having asked to have the eating station cleaned, the girl who came to "clean" the first time, did it badly and in a hurry; the plan was still very dirty, so I called the second time, and another guy came to "clean", but the result did not change. It was disgusting, having to eat on a surface encrusted with dirt. Not recommended!

The itsu staff are amazing at their service and the food was 11/10, I really enjoyed their raspberry mochi's. Will go again!!!!!!!!!

A different concept and very tasty - dishes are good. They are served in small cardboards. The idea is a to be a fast food kind of. - prices are really good. Portions are also big. - suitable for a 'pit stop' during the day. I would not bring a date there. It can be busy busy too. - toilets available for customers.

Cook here just doesn’t know how to make!! It tastes very bad!!! Avoid it!!

Really nice food for being a take-away restaurant! It was a lot of customers, but it took close to no time to get what we ordered. A little minus for the lack of space and places in the restaurant, but over-all really good!

Service and everything was good but the food definitely doesn’t look like the given photos. Is the photo the momos are scam. They don’t serve with dimpling.

I like the concept of ordering through the terminal, without talking to people, that's why I came here. In terms of taste, I liked the sushi, but the soup was not tasty, but it was hot and the temperature lasted for 45 minutes. I took it with me, but there are a lot of people inside and it is impossible to sit there (at least on a weekend).

Went into get a quick lunch after a medical appointment. Place was pretty quiet as it was just before noon. I had an issue with the app scanning at the ordering station but the young lady behind the counter came over to help. Food was ready in no time at all. As I was eating, the place got really busy but as far as I could see everyone was treated politely and efficiently.

Birthday meal it was a real celebration. The food was amazing and the wine reasonably priced Staff cheerful. All good 😊

Not like usual itsu where all the stuff is on display for you to grab. You have to order via one of those horrible massive screens like they have at McDonalds. Absolutely hate this. Part of the attraction of itsu is how beautifully presented all the food is! The staff member I did interact with was lovely. I didn’t bother ordering anything as I hate those machines so much. Walked out and spent £5 more on the same thing from Maki & Ramen.

Food wasn't delivered, driver took over two hours and still didn't turn up at the restaurant.

Tasty noodle dishes and soup served in paper cups in a fast food set up. Service and ambiance were excellent. The restaurant is at the entrance to New St.James Centre on the right hand side Great for a quick snack.🤗

Great food, very healthy as nothing is fried, the place itself is a little small and mostly high chairs and bar like table, so not practical with kids, but very good for just adults or teenagers

the Delivery was on time, however the quality of the food was not good, the sushi was clearly old as the rice was dry, and hard to eat as the pieces were falling apart when trying to catch with the hashi, overall really bad experience for the food, won't be ordering again

Small price, but VERY small portions. Taste isn’t to my liking and is definitely different from the usual Japanese food around. Will not come again. Note: Had chicken Gyoza noodle bowl and Chicken noodle soup.

The food was really bad. It seemed that the rice had been cooked three days ago. The vegetable gyosas were not tasty at all and not crispy. The miso soup is a dehydrated one and not tasteful but still the most tasteful thing of our meal…

Don’t come in here expect Michelin star quality food, then you will be surprised. They are fast and efficient. Kirsten and another girl at the counter were very friendly. I don’t remember the names of our food, but we had some type of noodle soup, salmon sushi, and my friend had a bowl of rice and fish or something (sorry! 😂) and they were all decent! If I am in a hurry and in the area, I won’t hesitate to come in here!

Another pocket-saver find! Visited this food place on Monday and was so surprised. They served noodles that you can spice up into your own preference of flavour. The condiments and sauce are accessible in a corner deck including chillies, sesame seeds, hoisin/teriyaki sauce, soy sauce etc. Apart from the saver price, it is a great noodle experience! The food place is located at St. James Quarter beside the main entrance.

Good to grab something to eat and ascend Calton hill to have a tasty meal with an eye-catching view.

Good place to eat sushi even for those who are vegan or don't eat fish and prefer chicken. Advised. After 9.30pm they give the trays at half price.

Bao and gyozas weren't well cooked. Miso soup didn't taste good/ was horrible. Overpriced and I will never go back again. Ita: non andateci.

Itsu is probably the healthiest fast food. Great asian food. This place is in a shopping mall and busy.

Salmon was tasteless and dry. Chilli noodles are bland. Quantity of noodles not worth it.

I had a great meal at Itsu. The modern, welcoming atmosphere was perfect for a quick bite. I loved the Chicken Teriyaki Rice Bowl and Salmon Sushi Rolls – fresh and flavorful. The staff were friendly and attentive. Itsu’s focus on healthy, sustainable dining is impressive. Excellent food and great value!

1. I ordered (hence paid for) pickled ginger - which did not arrive. 2. The bag of miso soups was leaking all over the rest of the food. I then found both cartons of the soup had been punctured. 3. Sushi rice in rolls is supposed to be compact: instead each one fell completely to bits. Normally I'm happy with Itsu but this time things were disappointing.

Ordered gyoza and got given miso soup instead which had soaked EVERYTHING and flooded the bag. Would appreciate a refund of the difference between the miso soup and the gyoza I ordered 🤷‍♂️

Been here before and the food was fine. This time the food was lukewarm - was only 5 mins between collecting and eating it so wasn't just down to a delay, simply the person responsible for heating up the food not doing their job properly. Don't think I'll be back as you can't tell unless you open up the food to try it whilst in the shop.

Only just opened so not much atmosphere. We were the only customers.

Decent place for Japanese/Thai-style fast food. Tasty and good value, quick service and freshly made. Service was friendly but a bit disorganised. There are tables and window stools to sit at, not much atmosphere but I suppose you don't expect much at a chain restaurant.

Fish doesn't taste fresh at all and rice is too hard. Not different from supermarket sushi. At least the prices are not as outrageous as other high street sushi branches.

The food is absolutely amazing.The choice is great and the fact that you have lots of fancy sauces,soya etc that you can help yourself to for free is great.The only thing I didn't like was that it was quite a small place and I'm not a big fan of sharing a table with people I don't know as they have a few"family tables".That said its well worth a visit.

Went in today for what I thought would be a nice, fast easy lunch. Got served at around 3pm by a lady with black hair with reddish undertones on the bottom section, dark sharp eyebrows and quite short. Would never normally leave a review- never mind a descriptive one to single out an employee but I am shocked with how this individual approached myself and other customers. I asked for help with an order on the tills and she rudely told me to use self tills when I was confused. She was no help at all and a real let down to the fast, reasonable lunches I would have in a rush. Will not be coming back and I suggest this lady gets spoken to about common etiquette, to prevent loss of more regular customers like myself. A brunette lady started serving after and she was lovely, a great help but all in all will not be returning to waste my money here.

Good Japanese cuisine for a reasonable price. Rice is a bit too salty for me. Sushi and sashimi were really good. I would also recommend unblocking the window (view on the street) - now there is a huge advertisement sticker and it does not make the place look better both from inside and from outside.

We entered the restaurant with the intention of taking away, so we chose from the touch screen, we waited for a few minutes and we left feeling happier than we went in. The dumplings and sushi were very good. There wasn't a vacant seat in the restaurant, and the atmosphere was good. I'd recommend them even on the take out they provide.

Standard fast food establishment right at the entrance of St James center. Although it is in the center of town. It is fairly priced and the food is great. Plenty of snacks to pick from for cheap or a main meal for not much more. Clean establishment and fast service. Wide variety of sushi and other dishes.

The food I received was good, but I ordered Chicken Teriyaki Bao Buns, and I received Chicken Gyoza. And the Chicken Gyoza said on the menu and on the package that it included a soy dipping sauce, but there was no dipping sauce. The Chicken Teriyaki Rice Bowl was very good, but it was packed into too small a bowl, and the chicken wasn’t mixed into the rice and beans evenly. The only way to eat it was to use the tray the Gyoza came in to dump out most of the rice bowl and mix it all together.

Many choices and friendly prices. I had creamy curry tasted noodles and teriyaki chicken with brown rice and vinegary rice ! All of them were good. Actually I repeated during staying in Edinburgh.

Order was clearly stolen by the delivery driver as it went from collected to delivered instantly and 30 mins later it’s still not shown up and JustEat are investigating - via email - so I have no idea what’s going on. Shocking shocking shocking service.

App went from driver collected, expected in 19 mins to being delivered in under 1 minute. No food. Called itsu, didn't have a clue what to do, said to call just eat. No customer service at just eat. Itsu said had happened a few times tonight, mibby turn off delivery? Clown shoes. Went to ichiban instead. Much better

place looked nice and i ordered the spicy chicken teriyaki bowl. to say the least it was very saucy and salty, and not worth the price. 8.59 for a 4inch container was well overpriced.

Delicious ramen, ricebowl and gyoza. Will definitely avoid the curry rice as it was way too salty. Packaging are nice and keeping the food warm. A great place for a quick meal or takeaway.
