Don’t buy the fish, it’s not fresh and sits on the hot plate way too long. Tastes to fishy. Used to work on the trawlers so I know my fish very well. Stay clear of the fish and way to over priced.

I ordered a mini box and the chips and donner meat tasted as if they were lunch times food recooked

Another delivery from here,yesterday evening Another horrible experience. Lamb bursa was not very nice, it was mostly dried looking bits of beef, with a couple of bits of chewy Lamb, the chicken Hoagie. I ordered never came with chips or cheese just a dry wrap. Which contained of small bits of fatty chicken. No cheese or chips inside, never again. The whole order was lacking in quality, flavour and most Importantly i feel ripped off. Dirty place too. AVOID!!

I tried to order food from this establishment and was accused of not being in for the order. The order never arrived as buzzer was on. The man said I’m “barred”. If I order something and can’t be in I would cancel it on just eat. I don’t know what he’s talking about but the service is terrible. The man was rude & accused me of this, that & next thing.

The food is excellent, especially the doner kebabs.

This is what you want from a fish and chip shop! Freshly made chips and crispy batter on the fish, which was light and delicious! My first time here and I'll be back!

Orderd a fish supper on Tuesday evening at 5pm , don't arrive by 6pm so called back to be told it had just left the shop. Had to leave my house at 6.15 it arrived at 6.25 . ( I live 4 minutes from the shop) were charged full price for the supper plus £ 3.00 delivery. Disgusting service. No apology to my wife.

Don't use this place NOW unless you go in and see what it is you will be getting...... We've just had an order delivered and it was AWFUL (SO DISAPPOINTING WHEN THEY WERE EXCELLENT LAST TIME WE USED THEM, THE SUMMER BEFORE LAST.....EITHER BOUGHT OUT OR UNDER NEW 'MIS-MANAGEMENT' PERHAPS???) ....... We are on holiday here, had a very busy day out and were extremely hungry, having not eaten since an early breakfast, and even so we were only able to 'pick at bits of our so called Fish Supper (for a dog maybe it would have been OK) that were in fact edible'..... So for two fish and chip suppers costing over £21.... We received two boxes of 'grey rubbery near cold chips' and two boxes of 'very heavily battered, very, very thin and dried up fish'. We phoned the Takeaway and spoke to a very rude, even abusive, man, who wasn't in anyway apologetic or interested, and wanted us to take the 'picked over - supposed food fit for human consumption' back, that was in fact good only to go in the bin (and as if anybody in their right mind, after a long day, would take it out of the bin and take it, walking the mile away and back, down the road, only to be abused, no doubt again!! ). It was pointed out to him that he knew very well what he'd cooked, put together, packed, and sent - so he knew full well what it was like!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!!!!

Good takeaway will go again but they were not happy me arriving late even though half hour before closing time. Seems they weee doing me a favour serving me. Shame as would have been higher score

Terrible customer service, woman on the till made a big issues about giving away extra set of wooden cutlery (when in first place we asked for 2 sets) she also lied saying she put it into the bag with order. Basically i wont come back due to attitude of employees

Ordered a 12” donner pizza for £10.70 got about 5 bits of donner on the pizza could’ve got a full portion and pizza seperate for cheaper!!

Ordered takeaway and people were not lying! Massive portion and very delicious. Speedy delivery and friendly driver as well!

I ordered special fish without reading the menu properly so I was delighted when I got 2 fish! They were cooked to perfection because they go go a bit rubbery if over-cooked. Very reasonably priced. 5 stars fully deserved.

Their bottled cola is a bit pricy but other than that, it was excellent.

All prices across the board have increased for January 2022 compared to December 2021. 5-17% increase. Order that was 8.70 in December is now £10 in January. Happy new years gift.

The fish here is fantastic and you get two! Last week I tried the Rig Special Pizza, my god it was gorgeous, highly recommended. All the guys are great and I enjoy our wee chats.

The food was absolutely rotten and when i tried to get a refund the guy was rude and hang up the phone, shocking food standers the place should be shut down, Hope no one makes the same mistake i did, don't order food from the rig.

I ordered my delivery was told I would have to wait about 40 minutes I waited over a hour for it to turn up when I got it the fish supper was very greasy and the mini box the pizza was tasteless and the donner meat was like chewing gum and chips rock hard

Excellent chippy. So consistent always great food, good size of portions, never more than a 5 min wait and staff are very nice and helpful. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This order was the worst I've ever seen in a takeaway. The pizza these people sent out was an absolute disgrace. Nothing but flat burnt dough with no topping and a skimming of tomato. And they had a cheek to charge 8.50 for it. I hope nobody gives this takeaway the time of day as they just don't care and only want your money. I will never order from this joke takeaway again.

They do a good supper deal 2 suppers and 2 cans of drink £9.50 and the hamburger suppers are always spot on with plenty of sauce which is how I like it and they do a good sausage supper which my partner always orders. The batter isn't hard like a couple of others I've been to in the area overall a good place to eat

Had Baked Potato Chilli Con Carne was really nice. Portion size very good. Kids fish was crispy and fresh. Everything ordered was dispatched correctly and hot on arrival. Fast delivery service too. Reasonable priced. Just Perfect!!!

Placed an order it came and was cold, they offered to replace it and it came 30 mins later so over an hour and a half from originally placing the order and came with no sauce or salt. Really poor service!!!!

Update after a month in Edinburgh I have no doubt that this is the best Fish&Chip you will find in all of town. Made fresh to order 💯🔥 📍 First Chippy stop while I'm in Edinburgh. They have so much good stuff there, but I knew what I came for. This Fish and Chip will be a tough one to beat during the rest of my stay! I owe this crew a lot of sunshine!

Hot food, well cooked, friendly staff. have tried the kebabs, pizzas and fish suppers over the years and all good. Definitely recommend. If you like a fish supper, but have a smaller appetite try asking for the kids fish. roughly half the fish in the adult portion with just slightly less chips and a lower price.

Excellent chips, fish suppers, etc. Always a treat to find a good chippy near where you live and this is one of the best I've visited in Edinburgh and Leith. Yet to try their pizzas. Friendly staff too and it's never long to get your food.

Terrible service. They brought us the wrong order then refused to exchange it or even give us a partial refund, telling us it was Just Eat’s problem and to phone them about the issue. Very rude manager. Will never order from here and would advise others to order elsewhere.

Ordered two fish suppers advertised as 'Battered' on Justeat, however when they arrived they were breadcrumbed. As I am gluten intolerant I could not eat, so phoned to arrange a replacement/partial refund but was treated to absolutly disgusting service by the manager who flat out refused and said it wasn't his problem. Shocking attitude. AVOID

Been a few times now, the fish suppers have been great.

First and last time I'll ever order from here. To start we waited well over an hour for our order. I ordered a kids 1/2 pizza meal which didn't state it was fried. I rang and told them the pizza was fried, we then got a rude reply from the lady saying "it's always been fried" I continued to say that it wasn't stated on the menu and could anything be done? She then refused to do anything to help and said we would have to pay extra if we wanted a normal pizza .. when clearly we had already paid for a meal that wasn't correct. Absolutely horrendous attitude and service. They could have been polite and done something to correct the order and I would happily have ordered from there again. Shocking would not recommend.

Nice chips but a bit cold so the cheese didn't melt. Clean and fairly priced though. Would buy again. No delivery service.
