Pint of Tennents,and a "meat" cornish pastie £13.49.A la carte this was not.They are rip off merchants.

Nice place to sit on the 'terrace' and watch the station and all the hustle and bustle that comes with it.

85p on a pint since last week. Shocking

The staff were beyond rude. 2 drinks were ordered, one with a fresh slice of lime - both barmen refused to slice the lime as ‘they’d had a busy day’ - they asked if we could have the drink without it - In what world does a bartender refuse to make a drink properly, especially given the prices charged?. The bar was empty at the time, and in the end, no drinks were purchased.

This is a bar at a train station at the end of the day so I’m not eating there food or the atmosphere, however, I have stopped off in here twice in the last month and the service has been unreal. All the staff are beyond friendly, welcoming and kind, I may be wrong but I actually think they have some regulars that come in, which is a testament to them considering it’s a pub in the station, it certainly seemed that way with some old timers propping up the bar talking to the staff.

First time of eating here sp glad i did . Served hot from a very pleasant member of staff. Very reasonable price and the food was tasty. Ideal to keep you going on a train journey or before you head home. Would definitely recommend x

Popped in here for a couple of drinks before heading down to Newcastle. REALLY friendly and helpful staff were welcoming and served me with a smile. Sells Tennents at a good price so I was very happy.

Good beer, close to the station. Enjoyed 2 pints of Paulaner. This was a Tuesday evening, so the atmosphere wasn't what it would be on the weekend, I bet it's blooming then!

Three times I’ve been there hoping to get food Kitchen never seems to be open. They need replaced by a pub that actually does food

Just the job while waiting for the 2340 Caledonian Sleeper train...very accommodating. They even allow people to bring food in from Burger King next door and put notices on the tables! How many places will do that?!

Just heard from the lovely barman that this place is going to close soon and be turned into some soulless part of the Brewdog franchise. Absolute loss for the station and all who pass through it. Lovely atmosphere, people, and the drinks hit the spot. Only just found this cracking place and now going to lose it. Such a shame. The character is apparent the moment you walk in. Best of luck to the staff who're always smiling, hope Brewdog doesn't attract the wrong type of patron.

In the Edinburgh train station, Waverley, great place for a pint and sit and wait area for your train. Departures and arrivals are posted, which is handy to monitor..

You have to work hard to find a seat but it became a fun challenge. The service was great. They just needed somebody to collect glasses more often.

Perfect place to eat in Edinburgh as it was surprisingly the cheapest place to eat (if you don't count fast foods). Staff was very friendly, place was clean, toilets clean. Couldn't ask more for a train station pub!

Had the Ultimate Breakfast, it was absolutely amazing. The meat was so flavorful and the eggs were very fresh. Great friendly staff and service.

I had a lovely experience when I came to work between my train travels. Tony was extremely helpful, friendly and kind. The hot chocolate was lovely & I was super pleased with the food! Would recommend a stop here, if passing through!

The bartender told me the pint I had ordered wasn’t included in the lunch deal and informed me what was which was nice! The pasty was warm and hit the spot. After I tried a beer (bones lager) I hadn’t seen before so he gave me a taste and told me about the beer. Very good service and quick! Would come again

Such a friendly and welcoming staff! The chicken mushroom hand pie is delicious-the crust is so flaky and the filling savory. Along with the Guinness, this is such a great respite in a long day of cancelled and delayed trains.

The Beer House was an OK place to wait for our train. One of the servers (a middle-aged man) was pretty rude, but another (a middle-aged woman) made up for it. She was delightful, kind, and helpful. We got beverages, but no food since the kitchen was closed to set up for lunch.

Not enough staff for a busy train station pub and the pint of Peroni I had was flat and horrible.

Says it was due to open at 08:00 hrs however its now 11:45 and it’s still not open.need to update their opening and closing times as this is false information.

No beer on tap - warm bottle of peroni - over priced !!
