Just got a take away from Apricot and it was terrible. Ordered a South Indian with King Prawn and it was like soup. No spice whatsoever. And the prawns were minuscule. The worst Indian meal I have ever had. Used to use Apricot all the time. Not been for a while and I will never be back. A waste of money.
Excellent wee pub. Experience absolutely enhanced by outside seating in glorious weather. Great beer choices. Had a terrific toasties and fries from light bites menu.
Highly recommend.
The veggie pakora was delicious as was the chicken pathia, the garlic naan and the rice. However, we had a dish of chicken tikka and a chicken tikka masala and they were not impressive at all. The sauce was extremely sweet, almost like a sweet and sour and there was no spice to it. Bland and sweet. So, 5 stars for everything except the tikkas, they were a 2 at best. Really nice people and service though.
Campbells Coffee House and Eatery made for a lovely little pause in the day. Tucked into a charming space with warm tones and a friendly feel, it has that inviting atmosphere that makes you want to stay a while.
I ordered a hot latte, and it hit the spot smooth, rich, and served at just the right temperature. The kind of coffee that wakes you up without being too bold or bitter. The presentation was simple but thoughtful, with a nice layer of foam and that comforting roasted aroma curling into the air.
The café itself was clean and relaxed, with just the right amount of ambient hum from conversations and clinking cups. It feels like a local favorite the kind of place where you could bring your laptop, catch up with a friend, or just enjoy a quiet solo moment.
I didn’t try the food this time, but the baked goods on display looked tempting, and the menu offered a solid range of lunch and breakfast options for next time.
Service was friendly and quick, though seating was a bit limited during the mid-morning rush. If you’re popping in at peak hours, be prepared to hover for a spot.
This pub is truly a cornerstone of any visit to St. Andrews. You can not beat its location, especially the small patio, and the atmosphere is so golfer-friendly I can't imagine a more golf-centric pub anywhere in the world. A good selection of beers and OK, but not the best, service. Sadly, the food was terrible. My first order, the mac and cheese, was so bad I had to return it. I then asked for the chicken baguette. It was terrible too. Sadly, the menu does not have much traditional Scottish pub fare, which is what one might expect when you are 100 yards from the Old Course.
Quality service..excellent food .When wifey misinterpreted mushrooms as mussels..not a problem. Sea food was super also Mrs roast. Fault free. Get along. Would recommend and we will definitely return 😀
was welcomed by a woman who showed me a map lots of places to go ect was very friendly and extremely helpful.
Firstly we booked on booking. com who took the money then told us there was no spa opened.
I immediately contacted them for a refund to book another spa but was told the money would take 5 days to go back into my account meaning I had to stick to this original booking due to funding.
Then I was called by the hotel to ask if we wanted a king bed or 2 single, I asked for a king size bed but when we went to bed at night there was a big space in the middle of me and my partner the mattress was 2 singles this is not what I was told I was getting.
When we entered the room the mirror was cracked which is definitely not 5stars none of this is.
I also went to dry my hair and the hair dryer almost blown up went so red inside.
Now when I thought my stay couldn't get any worse I went to iron my top to find out the iron was all dirty ruined a very good top and the one I brought to wear the next day.
So I got into a dirty top as I didn't have a spare when I got for breakfast at 9:10ish we had no continental breakfast as most of it had been cleared away including juices ect.
When signed ourself out and left but I am extremely disappointed in kinnettles hotel and spa on this experience.
I emailed the hotel to complain also but got no reply.
