Always go to the old inn when im up town,decent.

Great food, Great prices and most importantly Great service and speed.

It's a pub. I went there and had a great time with my friends.

Dropped in for lunch with my friend who was well known. Had drinks first then ordered food from the menu. I opted for a cheese burger and chips, my friend had an array of starters. The food arrived well presented. I took one bite of the burger but I did not like. My friend enjoyed his food. The chef made a good job of my burger I did not like it unfortunately, there was nothing he could have done it was just my personal taste. We had an icecream each to finish off.

We didn't eat but a cracking pub. Learned from the bar manager that Dunfermline football club were founded in the pub and it's over two hundred years plus for its age.The 2 kids with me liked being in the pub with me.Would definitely recommend.

Was in Dunfermline for the weekend seeking a dinner spot (pub) near the Abbey & park. Was told by staff that they DID NOT serve food, which is odd considering their Google listing & reviews. Was directed by polite staff to another eatery a block away. Rather disappointing, as we like live music and just wanted some pub grub.

Love the old inn great atmosphere and the night the pars players were all there celebrating was one of the most memorable nights ever

Some of my family and I (5 adults, 2 babies) went for a bite to eat today (Sunday) at 5.30pm. Having two prams with us, we were slightly apprehensive about being in the way of others/generally being a nuisance however as soon as we walked in, they were expecting us and offered a hand with the prams. We were out the way so not bothering anyone. The staff were lovely, really attentive and friendly and shut the door so the noise from the footie fans wouldn't wake one of the babies. The food was good, exactly what you'd expect in a pub food way. Would go again - surprised it wasn't busier.

Went for an anniversary meal on Sunday, the place was quiet but a nice atmosphere. The food was amazing, especially the chicken tempora starter. So many gluten free options, homemade batter, definitely will return!

Definitely room to improve on the veggie wrap - way too much sweet and sour sauce and veggie variety wasn’t great. Halloumi sticks weren’t great either. Ambience didn’t match the outside but probably great for sports fans and not tourists wanting a vibe by the abbey. Service was friendly enough

Smokers standing right at the door smoking, couldn’t get near the door to get in for smoke. If you see smokers at the door, tell them to walk across the road and smoke, it’s costing you customers!

Went for lunch and was a nice cheap meal, the staff were geest and the music playing was good background music

A great locally run pub. The food and service were excellent. It's a pity they didn't have any IPA though. We visited on a Wednesday lunchtime, and there weren't many other customers in, apart from a very noisy table of young guys, which probably detracted from the experience. However, I don't think the staff can be held responsible. We will definitely be back.

Our party of 6 were at The Old Inn for a meal on Saturday evening. We ordered prawn soft tacos, Chilli noodles, mixed vegetable noodles, 2 Old Inn burgers and a premier burger, plus 2 portions of fries. We waited a wee while, but were not disappointed! The burgers were HUGE and absolutely delicious- my friend couldn't finish the premier one. My husband said his noodles were as good as any he had ever tasted. Our waitress was great, very attentive. We will definitely be back!

One of my favourite pubs in town. Fantastic food, friendly staff, great atmosphere and a brilliant selection of drinks.

If you love burgers, you must try the ones freshly made here! Food was excellent and the service was very good. It's a bit of a dark drab place but that wouldn't stop me returning.

Great old pub, the oldest in town, with a good atmosphere in a perfect spot after a wander round the Abbey. Great pint of Tennents too, although I wish there was some ale on tap. Maybe a Stewart's 80. Really great staff too, I will definitely be back.

Bar staff was incredibly rude, no people skills at all, very offensive and very arrogant and very angry. I would avoid this pub at all costs.

I used to drink in the back bar in the mid 70's so had to return after 45+ years. Had seen the menu on their FB page which looked good, wasn't disappointed. The skewered prawns, tempura chicken salad and fries were all very good and reasonably priced. Will be back.

Had a few drinks and dinner at this place earlier this month - the food was nice and the staff attentive - the inn itself has some history being the location Dunfermline Athletic Football Club were established many many years ago

Stopped in for a drink while staying locally. The front bar is really nice with a good atmosphere, then through the back there was a second bar with comfy sofas etc, chilled atmosphere. The staff were friendly. Would be nice to have proper gin glasses.

Nice little pub, staff were very friendly and attentive the food is average at best (very heavy fried it was litterally dripping in oil).

Loved this place. Ended up there thanks to no taxis. We'll worth food was 100% and priced nicely l. Felt sorry for the young lady running the dinning area on her own. But she owned it. Just wish the tips left went to the person being tipped. In all great food and nice out the way boozer. Kid friendly

Came in for lunch and my wife and I had the Noodle Bowls. Absolutely delicious, flavourful and fresh. Customer service was also very good and the restaurant itself was comfortable and had a nice aesthetic

Really good proper pub with sports i like it there.

Didn't know what to expect. The menu was interesting and varied. Very difficult to shortlist so I chose the Special. Jan went for a burger. Both dishes were delicious and reasonably priced. Will definitely be going back 😀

Odd pub this. Tiny bar in the front with little seating. But to the rear has a larger lounge/ dining room with its own bar. There is a fair menu on offer. We were tempted by the Tempura Veg and Chicken on offer and were not disappointed. This was not the traditional light batter but a slightly thicker coating. Still very tasty. Served with really nice seasoned chips. Fair portions and good prices. Nice friendly staff. I would certainly recommend this pub.

WORST PLACE IN DUNFERMLINE! very bad service! put a deposite down for a pool table and after a couple games went to leave but wasnt allowed my deposit back of £20 as they accused us of loosing the chalk... i explained we didnt have any chalk the wholetime we just never complained abt it we only wanted to play pool and have a beer so wasnt a big deal... this wasnt enough thou and after still not agreeing to come with me and check for the chalk, i was basically robbed £20 for some chalk id never seen... nothing but bad attitide from staff and taking advantage of decent customers!

Went out of my way today to go in for a Meathammer burger, as the Old Inn website still has menus and kitchen times, only to be told the kitchen has been closed for months. Very disappointing and frustrating. Please amend your website, and I'll remove this review when done.

Spent the afternoon in the Old Inn with family and friends. It has excellent ambiance, the staff are friendly and it has a very good jukebox. We sat in the main bar as the back bar was closed.

Great real old pub- dog friendly, people friendly and friendly to the wallet too. Great location as well.

Visited late afternoon this week. It was quiet due to being mid week I guess. Pleasant lady served us. Place is interesting with it being an old pub rather than like most modern places around nowadays. Well worth a visit. Clean and tidy place. Next door to the Abbey just off the High Street.

I had been told these were 'award-winning' burgers so went for lunch recently. When I cut into the burger, it was raw in the middle. I respectfully asked for the burger to be cooked a little more as i don't like it that pink - I wasn't rude, I could have said I'm not eating a raw burger, but I didn't. I didn't even ask for a new one, just to have it cooked a little more. I was told by the waitress that it wasn't raw, it was cooked properly and it was red due to seasoning..... Anyway, my new burger was brought out by who I can only assume was the chef, who plonked it on the table and said 'here is your OVERCOOKED burger'! The attitude given because I asked for it to be cooked a little longer was rude and shocking. They must have changed chefs, it wasn't close to the best burger I've ever had!

Decor/ ambience lovely. Wine good but expensive. Music through speakers AWFUL.

Wide choice of tasty bugers with triple cooked skin on chips. Nice comfortable surroundings to enjoy your meal.

Went here with the wife and kids and we had some great burgers, which were hot and tasted delicious. So much variety on the menu, to appeal to everyone. Tasty side dishes too. Staff are attentive and friendly. This place is far better than McDonald’s or Burger King.

Visited this pub tonight whilst in town for Jim Davidson’s show. Nice friendly pub, pleasant staff and good central location.

Friendly staff and incredible food

Love the burgers here, great portions and nice ideas for the burgers. Love the vegetarian sun burger in particular. However a few points to be made. Draught cola is horrible, not nice and doesn’t taste like cola at all, bathrooms are also quite cold and dated. Apart from that love this wee place.

Went here with work mates. Lots of different burgers ordered. I had the chicken one. It was the best chicken burger I have ever had. Very tasty and ordered salad and it was very fresh. Will be back. Only down side - toilets were freezing.
