It's quite a fair place, really central, although almost hidden. Mostly local workers and neighbors. Kind of every (day)week costumer. Not surrounded by kids, what makes it a good place.🍻

Good beer, very friendly service. The burger was unfortunately not good.

One of the best pubs in Dunfermline.

It's won awards over the years and deservedly so. A great no-frills pub with very good beers. Be wary of parking outside as it's a pedestrian precinct on one side and I got a ticket at 10pm.

Nice pub, great beer selection. Let down by surly barman whose conversation was limited to "Kitchen closed at 6" but no suggestion of alternatives (Witherspoons is just around the corner).

This is a proper friendly neighbourhood bar packed full of local characters chewing the fat. The beer selection is great and the food hearty and honest. The staff are very friendly and helpful and certainly know their stuff. All in all, a brilliant place to while away a few hours enjoying some excellent hospitality!

Nice old pub with a good selection of real ales (top ale pub in Fife 2022). Couple of zero options for those driving, and hopefully, this increases. Guiness zero please. Not tried the food yet.

Great pub, brilliant atmosphere, really good selection of beers and ales and handy is is 2 mi utes away from the bus station! Haven't tried the food yet, next on my list

Fish and chips was amazing. Tasty and delicious,but size of fish and portion of chips were way too small for 11.50£. Smallest fish i ever had with fish and chips meal. Steak pie was great. And whole portion was better.

Great little pub, very close to bus station! Recently done up and serves food tho I've not tried meals yet. Very busy between 4.30 and 6.30 as people pop in after work!

Had soup of the day and a latte... Service with a smile. Friendly and helpful staff plus good prices

Food is good and reasonably priced. Guinness must be one of the dearest priced around. Staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Do not recommend food was awful coffee was the worst I've tasted ever price was extortionate and server was as bad as the food won't be back

Called in for a quick drink, they had a few real ales on tap tried a pint of the loch Lomond brewery, tis but a scratch, bar staff friendly and a good pint, will more than likely be back for more drinks and try something off the food menu, prices seemed quite reasonable.

By far the best breakfast in Dunfermline! Very friendly staff and lovely atmosphere. Food was piping hot and quick service as well. We will definitely be back soon. Thank you from the bottom of both our bellies 😊

Very good pub just in the centre of Dunfermline handy for the shops and bus station. Good food at a reasonable price too. They also have an impressive collection of 'Fife Camra Pub of the Year ' certificates.

Just been in for quiet drink legs fell off chair and told member off staff who said sorry busy lifting glasses

First time in this traditional pub serving traditional pub grub and we would certainly go back. The staff were friendly and attentive. Hubby had steak pie (his favourite) with mash and peas/carrots. He can be a bit fussy but said it was delicious and cleaned the plate lol. I had breaded haddock with chips and peas, equally delicious. We both had sticky toffee pudding with cream. We were surprised how busy it was for a Monday lunch time.

Didn't have food but it was a nice place with friendly atmosphere and staff.

Nice wee pub especially if you're over 40. Nice mix of people and ages.

I've been going to this pub for years since about 1993 (although not for every year...) and have just been back in for the 1st time in about 4 years and it's in about the best nick I've seen in the last 6 or 7 years. Good staff, good beer, great selection and clean and tidy surroundings. Well worth a visit if you're looking for a decent atmosphere not driven by loud music. Definitely suits older clientele...which is me!

This pub is a perfect place to have lunch, dinner and drinks. The food is delicious, the service is nice, and the music is a perfect fit. Recommended!

Nice quiet atmosphere in a traditional style pub. I'm a larger drinker but there's always a good selection of beers and ale's, pints always taste good in here, nice and fresh. 👌👍, Wife says the foods lovely not had the pleasure myself yet to try it.

Go to Dunfermline regularly. Great food, reasonably priced. Nice atmosphere.

A brilliant traditional pub. Great beer, friendly diligent staff. Tonight was busy, but the barman cleaned the table before we sat down and also charged my phone.

Since moving back to Dunfermline after 40+ years I was pining for a good pint of cask ale. The Commercial exceeded my expectations. Fantastic hand pulled ale and great food at reasonable prices.

Awful. As a CAMRA member I am amazed/embarrassed/ashamed that this place won Pub Of The Year for the whole of Scotland. The beer is overpriced and dreadful. Very, very poor pub.

By far Dunfermlines best boozer. A great selection of cask ales, shortlisted for UK Camra pub of the year. My only gripe was the lack of Scottish Cider,either cask or bottled. Was hoping to find Thistly Cross cider, which i only found on the M6 services back in England ! Perhaps not the pubs fault as supply of everything has been patchy recently. A must visit for ale fanatics.

Heard good things about this place being CAMRA's pub of the year. Enjoyed a good guest beer here and sampled some of the food. Food was fine but felt portion size was small for the price. Good atmosphere and location, I would go back again in future.

Poor layout, minimal seating and atrocious Guinness pouring. Staff dotting about clueless on how to use the card readers or how to pour measures. Such a shame for such an old institution in town. Please do better.

Was there a couple of days ago, had the steak pie which was OK only, the veg was obviously heated up from frozen. Acceptable, but a wetherspoons experience which would have been half the price a few metres away. Had also heard great things about real ales, schiehallion was good, but not the wide varied selection I had expected.

Love this bar. It's not changed that much since I moved here in 2002 New owner has done magic with the menu. Is now go BEST BAR award and deserves it Menu is brilliant Staff are a dream and knowledgeable Keep it up x

Excellent food friendly service good value what more can I say

This is a well deserved title, best pub in fife winner and previous best in Scotland, high contenders for the best in the UK, to which i certainly give my vote. The food was incredible, they have some of the best selection of ales also featuring "inveralomnd brewery". You must give this pub a visit if you are traveling to fife or like me are a local and had no idea it was here, a true local gem for me.
