Went here for a meal on 20th March.Food was Lovely. I had Fillet Steak for my Main.

I do recommend for sure. Food was delicious. But the only recommendation I have is, please change the wooden boards you serve the steak on. Can do so much better on presentation. I noticed so much wrong with the state of the boards we got. Wooden boards harbor so much bacteria. Try slate! Or even a beautiful plate.

Fantastic meal, full rack of ribs and my wife a chilli burger. 1st class food and service. Really friendly and welcoming. One of the best restaurants in Leven. Value for money. Definitely will be back. 👍😃

We were there for a family birthday it was a Monday so we expected it to be quiet, which it was. First time here, nice menu. The Waitress needed prompted to take drinks order as party was a little late. Ordered drinks and a bread board to share as nibbles until the rest of the table arrived. All very nice but a little small for a shared board though. Starters were lovely , however my daughter had the prawn cocktail and mentioned it would have been nicer to have softer salad leaves or lettuce instead of cabbage mix. We had a child with a milk allergy she was catered for and the chef was made aware of this which was reassuring. Most of the adults had steaks all cooked to perfection they could not fault it, this is rare! Peppercorn sauce was not nice though, too watery it should be rich and creamy and peppered. The burger was great, coleslaw. Excellent. I had the sea bass which was well over cooked it came with lobster sauce which I thought strange as no lobster on the menu! It's a major allergen ! I tried the lobster sauce in a separate jug . It needs to go! The Fish would be so much nicer with a fresh citrus or herb butter. The Herb potato and diced veg could have had more flavour I genuinely did not get any herb flavour from it. Overall fish dish was a real disappointment. Didn't try desserts as our grand-daughter has a milk allergy and there was no vegan or dairy free options on the menu. If the child can't eat dessert, we wouldn't either there was no vegan options on the menu.

Brilliant Christmas Eve dinner with the family chateaubriand, ribeye and chicken melt all delicious along side a mixture of starters and sides. Cocktails also really tasty and bartenders were able to accommodate my slight change to the recipe.

Great steak place serving T-bone and tomahawk as well as other delicious options. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Had a lovely lunch here yesterday Food was superb Young chap who served us was a credit to Mavi He even wrote out his ingredients for theeee best Pina Colada !! Definitely be back

Good customer service but food was a bit over cooked and needed a bit of seasoning

The foods fantastic but do not book for a family meal or event, they tell you to pay a £5 deposit for everyone who is attending and then take it off the bill, but charge every individual full price for the meal, they tried to charge me an extra £70 and looked confused when I explained how they were wrong

Wow, definitely my new favourite place! My only regret is that my camera wasn't performing at its best at the time and I couldn't take enough pics to show you all. The food was excellent from the point when you find what you want in the menu, to the great customer service as it arrives on the table and then this first bite... Try it!

A locals opinion. We had been meaning to try here since it opened and everytime we pass home from work it looks busy!We visited tonight for dinner as Their Sunday menu is great value for money. I ordered the chicken chili jam bites for starter. The sauce was delicious! It would be much better if the chicken was chicken breast and not thigh meat. I wouldn't order for again for this reason. If I had known it was chicken thigh bites I wouldn't have ordered so this is purely to my preference. The salad that comes with it was however lovely! And my partner ate the chicken. The grilled halaumi salad starter was also lovely. For main my partner ordered a sirloin steak and I ordered a ribeye. The sirloin was cooked exactly to order (a bit more supermarket quality steak which is a shame for a steak house) but the sides were delicious! And the veg cooked to perfection! I ordered a ribeye and a side of Mac & cheese. The macaroni was served considerably later than the main meal and I was more than halfway through my main but it was delicious and piping hot! 🤤 The ribeye was a little more well done than medium well but was a great cut and tasted delicious! Again sides were very complimentary! For pudding he had the sticky toffee which he said was 10/10. Lovely soft sponge and just the right amount!👍 I had the honey comb cheesecake which was ok. It tasted like frozen cheesecake that had been defrosted the day before. It would be amazing to see a home made cheesecake replace this like other local competitors but again that's just to my preference and taste. Drinks served with ice and Lemmon/straw, not needing to be asked for and lime with certain beers. Again is great to see this and that they don't have to be asked for. Chef who served one of our courses was lovely and very polite with a high standard of service. Gentleman who served us drinks was again great. Our main server a younger female was however a little less engaging but was still however apologetic for the late macaroni and served us promptly and efficiently. Overall we would return here but maybe just for a steak and not a 3 course dinner. The fillet steak ordered by other tables looked delicious and would be what I'd like to try next! ☺️

Endroit agréable et chaleureux parfait quand on est touriste heureusement pas très fréquenté quand nous y sommes allés cela m'a même étonné pour un endroit aussi génial. Le personnel très sympa nous avons même discuté avec eux comme il n'y avait pas beaucoup de monde . Endroit superbe et décoration magnifique . Nourriture locale et de bonne qualité. Je recommande !!

A true hidden gem. Forget about the overpriced tourist trap restaurants in St Andrews. This place is much better food, service and at a fraction of the price! Loved my visit here and will definitely come back again with the missus! Friendly welcoming staff which know what they are doing with the delicious drinks and food which is on offer! First class, 5 stars :)

What a find. Looks like a cafe, but never judge a book by it's cover. My sister and I popped in on the off chance and coudn't have been more delighted. Greeted by a very sweet waitress, and we were given a choice of seating. I had the 10oz ribeye it was cooked to perfection, but more than that the flavour was exceptional, last time I had a steak this good was in New Zealand some time ago. The fillet steak my sister had was on par with mine. Absolutely perfect. The haloumi Salad, fresh and hitting all the right notes was not only delicious, but a taste sensation on it's own, this is well worth trying. Pudding, (honeycombe cheese cake) unbelievably decadent and not all sugar was excellent. First time in this reaturant and will be back again and again. Very very satisfied customers.

Looks like a cafe, but never judge a book by its cover. Popped in by chance and so greatful we did. The quality of our meals were up with the best 5 star restaurants in London. My 10 oz rib eye steak, the fillet steak my sister ordered, were not only cooked to perfection but the flavour was EXCEPTIONALLY AMAZING. They must buy the best produce and prepare it with respect and love. The vegetables and sauces were on par with the perfection of the steaks. The fries obviously perfectly crisp and tasteful. Desert. My sister choose the cheesecake, which was freshly made and thoroughly enjoyable. I choose the halumi salad, beautifully fresh and light. Stafff attentive, warming and create such a relaxed and leisurely environment. This place is a GREAT FIND. Will not go elsewhere now as have found a really great place to eat. Can't believe this quality in such a small town. Really satisfied customers.

food was decent but had to wait about an hour for food and didn’t even get an apology for the wait, the table next to us had their starter and main by the time we had even got our main which is shocking, think me and my girlfriend passed the stage of being starving by the time it came out

Had the chicken kebab on a wrap with fries and salad and started off well, generous portion of chicken, but sadly the last two pieces of kebab must have been hit by the solar flare that was giving a good northern lights display that week. Dry and over browned, left one of them. Otherwise a very good meal. The others were happy with theirs

Ordered a surf and turf, T bone steak, onion rings and garlic mushrooms. For dessert we had biscoff cheesecake and chocolate brownie. All of the food was great, steaks were cooked perfectly, good value for money. Fast service and good background music.

I had an amazing evening here with friends - the steak was spot on! the starters were great, but not everyone enjoyed the puddings. We also had seen Monday - Friday deals on the website, but was advised this was lunch time only when visiting. I'll be back for a bar lunch in the future :)

First time in Mavi Steak House . What a lovely restaurant, brilliant service and excellent food.

Had a fantastic meal here. The steak was delicious. My only complaint was the wait we had to be served and in-between courses. However it was a Saturday evening at peak time. Will definitely be back

The food was amazing as always, but the place itself looks like it could do with a freshen up, looked quite run down inside and the appearance of staff could be better (maybe lose the hoodies n the casual look?)

We cannot rate this restaurant highly enough, the meat was delicious and cooked to perfection, soft, succulent and so tasty and I personally am a food critic after having ran the Rodizio Rio in Kirkcaldy many years ago. Service was excellent, prices are very reasonable and we definitely recommend this lovely restaurant to anyone who hasn't been there yet.

Had our first visit here tonight & will certainly be back..The food was amazing,the staff were friendly and very welcoming.. Atmosphere was very relaxed...

Waited 1hr for starter for 1person. Then another 30mins for main. Ordered t-bone steak at £30 which came cooked wrong and with a carrot and a bit broccoli and small chips. Not alot of meat on the t-bone and came out the restaurant still hungry. Won't be back unfortunately as wasn't worth the money.

Went for a meal here last night. The staff are all so polite and friendly. It’s beautifully decorated, warm restaurant. As for the food, 10 out of 10!! It was perfection!!! Everything was seasoned perfectly. I would highly recommend a visit here you won’t be disappointed!!!

I would have given a 4.5 if I could. But wouldn’t drop to 4 star. Some minor service/condiment improvements would make a big difference, we had to request side plates for our shared starters, Condiments were not what we expected (*Heinz Ketchup, Colmans English mustard and Hellmans Mayo was not provided, but this is personal preference). Food was really delicious, we shared the bread board an calamari between 4 and was yummy. 3 of our 4 steaks were perfectly cooked and the other was re-cooked to taste with no issue or questioning when my daughter required adjustment to medium from med/rare (was maybe marginally under but I would have eaten it , so again personal preference 😋) My wife was driving, so alcohol was not an option, a delicious mocktail was provided when we asked, but it may be worth promoting this on the drinks list for the non-alkis 😆 Overall great experience and would recommend a visit .

I heard so many good reviews about this so I decided I would try it. Amazing ! Food was really good. I had the calamari which was cooked to perfection, not chewy but tender and the batter was crispy and so light. Perfect ! Followed by steak and chips, non greasy and very tasty. My partner had the prawn cocktail followed by the jalapeño burger which she said its one of the best burger she had in a while. We finished everything with desserts, traditional sticky toffee pudding and chocolate brownie which yet again, phenomenal. We also had a few cocktails, also perfect and just right. Our family of 12 were here today and can't rate the food highly enough - no one left a crumb. Even the kids meals were quite big portions and they totally vanished! 😂 Staff were very polite and helpful and good with the kids. Will definitely be back soon.

Service a bit sporadic. Was being asked if we wanted to order before even sitting down then waited 45 minutes for our starter. Steaks were nice, although none came how ordered them. Table of 4 ordered all medium rare so not hard to mess up in theory but all came different, 3 ribeyes ranging from medium to well done and one fillet ordered medium rare but was very well done. Usually would complain but they actually tasted really good so not an issue in the end. Staff friendly and made up for other issues. Place is new and obviously still finding its feet but worth going to. Well priced and sauces were top notch.

We enjoyed our meals and nice place.Only low points were service was a little confusing as seemed to be rotational (not same person who got us seated) and we were sitting next to the bar where there was a very noisy ice crushing machine!A little hard to hear at times!I would be back though

Been in this place 3 times, tried something different each time. T-bone Steak, then D Cut Lamb and 3rd time was the Beef Schnitzel. Each time My meal was delicious. I would recommend going here. I will definitely be going back soon.

Just fancied a steak + wow what a find! Perfectly cooked, piping hot, really tasty peppercorn sauce and just the right amount of everything, great price and lovely staff!! so much better to choose an independent shop over a pub chain.
