The Cullen Skink is the most awesome dish ever. I loved it. The rest of our meal was good too. The Sticky Toffee Pudding is also awesome. I love the view from the windows onto the golf course and looking across at the hotel. Didn't feel rushed either. The waiter was very good and had recommended the Cullen Skink.

Five star view. I wish my food would have been as well. My husband and I had the steak. Awful, tough and tasteless.I couldn't eat it . My friend had the chicken thighs. He said they were just ok. We looked forward to this meal too ☹️ I was so dissatisfied. We were lucky enough to golf the new course and wanted to further the experience. We made reservations months prior. Definitely not worth the money you'll spend here

This restaurant is worth a stop just for the views on a nice day, but you will also find some good food and drinks, and a friendly staff. As far as food goes, we had sandwiches which were fine, but the best option was really the onion rings - best I've ever had. See if you can get a table by the large windows facing the course and and enjoy the views and the ambiance.

This is a solid 3.5 restaurant. The steaks were not nearly as good as the 18 at Rusacks. Service was solid except we asked if we could sit at a different booth and was told it was already reserved (10 feet away). In the two hours we were there (slow service) the booth was never filled. The service was attentive and most of the issues were not due to the floor staff other than moving seats. We ate twice, our lunch experience was better than the dinner experience...standard fare (sandwich) was much better than the steak.

Location is great but food wise was not good. I got a steak I wasn’t able to cut it that’s how tough it was. Probably one of the worst steaks I’ve had. Even if this is included with the old course package as it was for me I would avoid it at all costs and pay to eat in the town instead

11 of us went for lunch and must warn everyone about the substandard service and food. I ordered lamb @ £28 which was mainly fat. I told the waiting staff how disappointing the lunch was and the waiter (?) spoke to duty manager, if you can call him that? He returned and said they’d taken a little money off, I asked how much 3 times and he just said a little money. We got the bill and they’d taken a measly £10 off leaving £18 still to pay for an appalling lunch. Spoke to the arrogant manager who just shrugged his shoulders carrying on with what he was doing, making sure he avoided all eye contact. I told him we’d take it off the tip then. He was happy enough to shaft his waiting staff who ended up losing an entire tip, which on a £300 bill would be a quite decent amount ( more than £18 anyway). A bad experience and the other dishes that people had weren’t great either, especially for the overpriced menu. If you want an enjoyable dining experience avoid this place and the cocky, amateurish duty manager. I can only imagine he’s new to the role.

Lovely food, ambiance, and view! Sadly the service was incredibly subpar. The restaurant wasn’t full, yet we waited 20 minutes before finally having to get up and get a waitress simply to get water for the table. Plenty of waitresses had walked past us but none acknowledged our presence. A table seated 10 min after us received service almost immediately. We were seated right next to them and were still ignored. Another table seated 45 min after us had to do the exact same thing we did as they also never received service after being seated for 15 minutes and had to go get a waitress. It was quite bizarre.

Our 4 ball arrived at 11.35 and were ignored initially. Despite being less than a quarter full we could not take a table until the aloof waiter checked for reservations. The place was still largely empty when we left 30 mins later. When the senior waitress did finally come to take our order we were told icily that the breakfast menu finished at 11.30. Our requests for bacon rolls fell on deaf ears. After our round we returned at 5 pm to be told we could not even have a bowl of chips as the kitchen closed at 5. What a miserable service for hungry golfers. Time to decide what the restaurant is for...scottish golfers or passing tourists looking for an overpriced lunch. We will not be back.

Went to lunch with my client there. Disanility access good. Only 2 disabled parking places available. Very busy. Our table looked out over the course. Table next to us had 5 adults and a noisy baby. Conversation was difficult due to the general noise. Very clean modern resteraunt. Comfortable seating. Temp on the cool side although if was very cold outside. Food took 30mins to arrive. We ordered the special which was roast beef yorkshire pudding with veg and roast potatoes. The plate was huge.Massive roast potatoes done perfectly. The yorkshire pudding was one of those giant ones you buy in the supermarket. It had diced veg in it. They were undercooked becsuse the carrots were very crunchy. I got 2 slices of very underdone roast beef which was cold. They had not heated the plate. I think it must have stood on the pass for a while. I ate it anyway as I was hungry. No mustard or horseradish sauce offered. There was a ladle of gravy which was also cold. Serving staff very nice. Very smart. Meal for 3 incl drimks £77

Location is stunning and service generally good. Been many times without cause for complaint. However there are occasions that the quality of food falls short. Breakfast porridge is on the menu therefore you would think that this Scottish staple would be made to a good consistent standard. How wrong could one be. It's awful, more like a thin milky rice pudding . Breakfast roll was stale. Clearly known by kitchen staff who had sent it out having heated it up to disguise its lack of freshness. It was mid morning and the manager claimed their delivery had not arrived. Ordered alternative but no apology was received. Desperately disappointing start to the day

Sushi was not cold and nothing really tasted like sushi from any of the places I've ever had it (30-40 times in the last 10 years). Imitation krab used as well instead of real crab. Haggis roll was alright, as was the tempura, but definitely not going back. Quality was less than supermarket sushi.
