The best restaurants in Fife Central Scotland

Honestly The Perfect Scoop is just a wee gem--some of the best ice cream we've ever had. My partner got the doughnuts with dipping sauce and they were out of this world. Would recommend going out to East Wemyss especially for this place--100% worth it.

Ordered collection through their website, took my money, and when I went to collect it was closed, not been able to get anything resolved, absolute shambles of a place to be quite fair. Is this place shut down or something?

Brilliant home baking, friendly staff, easily accessible, cosy shop and in a great location. Not too busy, but excellent service. Well priced and outside seating suitable for those with a four legged companion

Centre has ample parking and is not far from Dunfermline Town Centre. Spacious and very clean. Four of the many rooms were used during the day and each was large/ good lighting and clean. Lunch was Buffet style but was presented in a very timely fashion and was both delicious and enough for good portion sizes. Waiting staff were readily available for any questions/ queries and were extremely efficient. Definitely recommend for business 'away' days/ conferences.

Let me just point out to the most objectionable and unpleasant human being that posted the toxic review on the 15th July. Firstly, stay at home and do not tarnish a beautiful village and friendly tearoom with your acrimonious and toxic personality. Secondly, I have been coming to the Lomond Tearoom since it opened. The family run business is the friendliest place you could ever have the good fortune to visit. The food and service is excellent and the staff and owners are friendly and welcoming. Anybody visiting Falkland should visit and enjoy the wonderful tearoom.

Went to the Lochgelly golf course today (tried to phone prior but no one answered). I did however check the website and it said it was open. Turned up & was told to sit anywhere as it wasn’t busy. Service was shocking, ended up having to go the bar & try and get someone but they would walk past you & not say a thing. I let it go, had my meal (which wasn’t nice) didn’t complain and went to pay for the bill. The woman who runs it told us they where run off there feet today ( place was almost empty) & I should have phoned first. I did explain I did try and call and no one answered & she told me I should have took the hint. In shock I responded that’s no way to speak to anyone. She proceeded to tell her staff you better not have been answering the phone. I said to her why didn’t you tell me when I arrived sorry we are fully booked today and I would have left or better yet ANSWER your phone and explain you are too busy? Instead after I paid proceed to moan to me? Saved the best bit for last she said you’s (referring to myself and my friend) are a f****** joke. Please avoid this place!!

Best coffee we have had in a very long time, great sandwiches we had the salami was really tasty and filling! Well worth a visit!

Great little cafe. Lovely local cafe with local food. Nice staff and very easy going. Breakfast rolls and seafood chowder were excellent. The museum well worth a visit.

Booked hugos for cocktail week as in the past we have enjoyed the food, service, drinks and atmosphere. Lovely spacious outdoor area, our first server was lovely and made a tasty cocktail, however we left early due to poor customer service and inconsistent drinks. We ordered cocktails and the measurements and ingredients were inconsistent and some staff were not professional or friendly when ordering. Some staff on mobile phones behind bar when busy and when we ordered a repeat cocktail we both enjoyed, the drinks tasted very different, missing 2 ingredients. Went to ask for other ingredients to be added, asked for raspberries to be added if possible and was told abruptedly they were nearly out and the bartender added this for us. Went up to ask for other ingredient to be added, but felt I was ignored for a while. Felt I was an inconvenience for asking. My family member asked if heater could be turned on, staff member said they thought it was broken and said they would check with the manager and never returned to let us know. Decided to leave early. Will be cancelling our booking for next week.

The Punjabi Masala was a nice change from a Tikka Masala. Not as sweet and the flavors really came through. The lamb biryani was tasty and the mince samosa was nice. Some of the best Naan I’ve had.

Not overly satisfied with the food as the food arrived late and the poppadoms were crushed and my daughter was waiting for ages to eat. Would have been quicker travelling for it.

Really disappointed in the service and food, ( have eaten in the Nova a few times with family and been good), i was part of a group off 7 having lunch and drinks , ordered the soup and steak sandwich , service was really slow with the soup out 1st asca starter so everyone else had to wait for there food( good part of 40mins) when steak sandwich arrived it was more than steak, it had cheese on it( unfortunately I cannot eat cheese) this was not detailed on the menu. Sent the sandwich back but didnt want to order anything else, to be honest I had asked for the steak rare but was told it was just cooked the way they cook it which seemed strange to me. When we got the bill I was charged in full for the sandwich despite it being returned as not as ordered. Yes I was offered something else but as we had already waited nearly 1hr by this point I didnt have the time to wait any longer on a new sandwich. Feel its poor service when its clearly there fault not detailing the ingredients , ( what if it had been a peanut allergy? ) cheese is an allergy for me so could have had bad reaction for me. Anyway the manager was not willing to refund the sandwich, soup was nice btw so happy to pay for the soup, paid the £92 bill but will not be back again

Delicious evening meal with family celebrating a member's birthday. The choice was different from other Indian restaurants,and refreshingly so, absolutely delicious foods, with ample portions, lovely service and pleasant surroundings and decor . Please visit and enjoy something different.
