I was driving through unfamiliar territory at lunchtime and happened across the White Chimneys Cafe. I went in to buy a sandwich and ended up sitting in the tearoom. Wonderful freshly made lunch with great service.

Highly recommended cafe - super selection of freshly made sandwiches, baguettes, cakes and more. The soup of the day was delicious and if we had room for one of the deserts or tray bakes, we would have had some because they look delicious as well. A must for a return visit 🙂.

A local gem! Great take out food and good in dining, especially if you sample the breakfast menu. Perfect for cyclists, walkers, passing workers or just go there because you can, it's great. Home baking is delicious.

Great place to pop in for a lunch or coffee break. The food is all cooked/baked on the premises. Coffee is good and you are not rushed out.

Pitscottie is so lucky to have The White Chimneys. The breakfasts are superb and so are the Dura Den burgers. The staff are always friendly and helpful, despite being rushed off their feet. The price of success I suppose! A great place to stock up on lunch or breakfasts to set you right for the day.

We visit the White Chimneys when stocking up at the nearby farm supplies shop. The staff are lovely, friendly, and helpful and they keep the cafe very clean and tidy. The food is typical cafe snacks: soup, filled rolls, etc. It is reasonable prices - £4 plus for a filled white roll served with crisps and salad. They also do a takeaway service, and the shop also sells basic supplies such as newspapers and magazines.

Baguettes, rolls, salads, cakes they have it all. Fairly limited seating but fast and friendly takeaway service, and always extremely tasy food and a friendly smile.

What a great & hidden gem this place is! All the sandwiches seem to be freshly made to order (mine was as was others when I was there) and it's no skimping with the fillings! Along with the old favourites you have some house specials which are simply beautiful ..... Also the home baking is simply beyond words, yum yum!

We were on the road and we tried this bar for our breakfast. It was a great choice. Nice and warm, friendly ladies serving good food, many handmade sweets, really good. We had breakfast there, the full scottish breakfast, it was good, well cooked, big. The place is small, very friendly; they sell honey, marmalade and other homemade goods inside. Very good surprise!! Recommended!!

I occasionally visit for breakfast. The location is semi-rural and interesting. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is good value if not gourmet standard.

We were looking for a place for breakfast as in Saint Andrews' tea room we had spent 30 minutes waiting for the waitress to come. En route we saw this lovely tea room and decided to try it. That was great ! The ladies were charming, breakfast was excellent , prices are quite low, and the quality quite high. This is just one of that places you want to go back again.

I pass this every day and do pop in to buy their baking etc; it's nice and clean and a nice place for a cup of tea, but their home made baking is really pricey, I fear they will price themselves out the market as people may pay the price once but they won't go back. I certainly would be reluctant to recommend it for that reason, the produce is pretty average.

Often drive past this little cafe, so one morning we stopped and bought cooked to order bacon rolls, the bread was lovely and fresh, while waiting I thought how appetising the choice of deli style fillings for sanwiches and rolls looked, the menu included soup and other cooked delights which i am reliably informed by a friend that are all really tasty, whether eating in or take away, the bright seating area was clean and tidy dispite the muddy boots in and out, Good car parking too.

This is a lovely little café which we often go to for a Sunday lunch. Filled rolls and home baking. Really friendly staff. A few wee gifts and newspapers on sale. Spotlessly clean, and well used by locals. Always a chat and a smile.

A brilliant, down-to-earth, home cooked sandwich-and-soup stop in a great location. My recommendation is homemade soup followed by a haggis roll with a pot of tea. Its a very friendly place with a through traffic of farmers and other locals at the take-away counter, so great opportunities too for 'people watching'. I love coming in here and don't do it often enough.

Llegamos de casualidad porque se nos estropeó el coche de camino a Saint Andrés.es un lugar pequeñito y de pueblo muy agradable, para tomar unos bocadillos y unos dulces de los típicos de galleta de mantequilla, nos gustó mucho.

I always come here when in the Cupar area. The excellent food is cooked to order and is brilliant. The ladies who run the place are very friendly. No fancy food but good cafe food - black pudding and fried egg baguette is the best!

Worst breakfast I've had in ages! Food was awful after a long wait when we we're the only couple in the place?? So not the best, it was also freezing cold in the restaurant! Only one little heater which was next to the door (pointless). Not worth the money??

We only live about two miles from the White Chimneys, but we have lunch there regularly. The soup is tasty, filled baguettes made up to order, stovies, rolls, freshly baked scones, traybakes etc etc - all delicious and served with a smile. We usually have soup, toasties or baguettes, followed by tea, scone and traybake to share and it costs around £14. Great value, popular little tearoom which also sells bread, newspapers, milk and other essentials. We love it!

We couldn't believe our luck finding this tearoom on our trip to the East Neuk on 28th September. We received a lovely welcome from the two ladies running it. Tables were lovely and clean. Nice décor. Very well kept tearoom. Good selection of dishes on the menu, (also a large selection of sandwiches, tray bakes and home baking for take-away too). The homemade lentil soup was delicious, it was accompanied by lovely tasty bread. The All day breakfast was a big helping of great tasting food, Bacon, egg, sausage, haggis, potato scone etc well cooked and beautifully presented. The homemade bread and butter pudding with hot custard for dessert was fabulous and really hit the spot. Pot of lovely strong tea to finish off. Great quality and value. We will be back when next in the area.

I ordered a black pudding and fried egg baguette and it was superb, could not have been better. Good quality bread. My wife had the soup and pudding, home made lentil soup with bread and apple and blackberry pudding with custard. She was delighted. Together with tea for two it came to just over £11. Very good.
