Hugos Bar & Pavilion in Fife

Booked hugos for cocktail week as in the past we have enjoyed the food, service, drinks and atmosphere. Lovely spacious outdoor area, our first server was lovely and made a tasty cocktail, however we left early due to poor customer service and inconsistent drinks. We ordered cocktails and the measurements and ingredients were inconsistent and some staff were not professional or friendly when ordering. Some staff on mobile phones behind bar when busy and when we ordered a repeat cocktail we both enjoyed, the drinks tasted very different, missing 2 ingredients. Went to ask for other ingredients to be added, asked for raspberries to be added if possible and was told abruptedly they were nearly out and the bartender added this for us. Went up to ask for other ingredient to be added, but felt I was ignored for a while. Felt I was an inconvenience for asking. My family member asked if heater could be turned on, staff member said they thought it was broken and said they would check with the manager and never returned to let us know. Decided to leave early. Will be cancelling our booking for next week.

Came here for valentines night for a meal, place was quite busy and lively, great music playing and football on the tvs. Staff were friendly and attentive and drinks orders and food came quickly. Not a huge menu to choose from but all sounded good and was still a hard choice. The pizza bowl filled with pasta was really good and a huge portion! Could probably be shared. The cocktails were amazing too and all reasonably priced. Will definitely be back!

This is our local - and it’s the best local we’ve ever had. Hugos Bar and Pavilion genuinely beats a lot of Edinburgh bars hands-down on quality service and food. From the moment you arrive the staff are friendly and welcoming - so much so, they already know what you want to drink! You can tell the staff love what they do - whether it’s serving, bar or kitchen - it’s a true team effort. The menu is always inventive and truly delicious. If Hugos isn’t already your local, get down there now and you’ll soon be a regular!

Have eaten here many times. Food is always great, portions substantial, fantastic value for money and efficient and friendly staff.

First time visiting and won’t be the last! The food was amazing! So delish and well presented! Great size portions and fantastic choice to suit everyone. The cocktails are delish too! Could not fault the place at all! Great value for mo why, warm cosy relaxing atmosphere and the staff are so welcoming and chatty! Ian made us feel so welcome and ensured to look after us through out! Highly recommend! New favourite venue in Fife!

Absolutely brilliant bar / restaurant/ casual environment. Finally dalgety bay has a place where it’s relaxed, not to formal & atmosphere it’s unreal. Food is unbelievable, well priced unlike other places in the Bay Area. (People who know the area understand what I mean) actually have good chefs in the kitchen. Staff absolutely perfect , friendly & polite all all of my party. Drinks well priced & girls enjoyed all of the cocktails. busy & relaxed atmosphere. Another mention on the burgers, I’ve eaten lots places in fife this is far the best yet. Well done to the new owners & all the staff. Definitely 5 star review here.
