Lochgelly Golf Club in Fife

Went to the Lochgelly golf course today (tried to phone prior but no one answered). I did however check the website and it said it was open. Turned up & was told to sit anywhere as it wasn’t busy. Service was shocking, ended up having to go the bar & try and get someone but they would walk past you & not say a thing. I let it go, had my meal (which wasn’t nice) didn’t complain and went to pay for the bill. The woman who runs it told us they where run off there feet today ( place was almost empty) & I should have phoned first. I did explain I did try and call and no one answered & she told me I should have took the hint. In shock I responded that’s no way to speak to anyone. She proceeded to tell her staff you better not have been answering the phone. I said to her why didn’t you tell me when I arrived sorry we are fully booked today and I would have left or better yet ANSWER your phone and explain you are too busy? Instead after I paid proceed to moan to me? Saved the best bit for last she said you’s (referring to myself and my friend) are a f****** joke. Please avoid this place!!

As my daughter was performing at the local theatre, we decided to drop in for dinner. The staff were lovely and offered us a table in the back part, which was much quieter. Food was of decent quality and was very reasonable priced. Overall was as expected.

Me and both my sons had a golfing day out at Lochgelly Golf Course. The course was in very good condition despite the recent rain. We were made very welcome at the Pro-shop and had an excellent bacon roll and coffee in the Clubhouse. This made for a great day out and we will certainly be back 👍

Had lunch at the view at lochgelly golf course today. It was absolutely delicious. Would recommend the crispy shredded chicken with rice, chips and curry sauce. Service was very good too, lovely friendly staff. We will defo be back

Enjoyed a lovely lunch at the View at Lochgelly Golf Club. We both had the salt and pepper chicken loaded fries…fresh, delicious and a very good portion size. Definitely value for money. Service very efficient and friendly. We strongly recommend.

We visited Lochgelly Golf Club for Lunch on Saturday Afternoon.We ordered Garlic Mushrooms which the presentation was excellent,then we had the homemade Steak Pie which was also excellent.The best Steak Pie we have ever had.Compliments to the Chef. John and Hazel Dunfermline.

Although the food we had was lovely, the restricted Monday to Thursday menu was limited, especially when favourites like pate and steak pie weren't available. Not many tables taken and it was really cold. I appreciate that January and February are quiet months but when menu classics are off, customers won't go.

The Restaurant at the golf course is called TJs at the 19th hole. We have just moved to Cardenden and we’re looking for somewhere local for breakfast and found TJs on the web. What a find, a lovely little place with really friendly staff and superb food. I think they have two new regulars, I would highly recommend.

Having arrived with no prior booking the staff were so accommodating and soon had us seated. The food was to die for my partner having the blackened turf n cluck and I had the salt n pepper chicken burger, both amazing then the sweets omg the banoffee pie was epic. I would definitely urge anyone to give this wee hidden treasure a try. We will definitely be back 👍

After the unfortunate catering team took this over just prior to civic restrictions kicked in in 2020 hopefully they get the chance to flourish, been twice for lunch and the food is absolutely superb. Menu perfect and very extensive, staff are lovely folk, food fresh and proper produce, it’s clear the new caterers are favouring quality but portions massive too! No longer will we be heading out to Kirkcaldy or Dunfermline when somewhere serving amazing food is on our doorstep. 100% would recommend, we will definitely be regulars now.

A really pleasant lunch. Food was homemade, tasty and really good value for money. There were five of us and everyone enjoyed what they had. Well worth a visit.

18 members of our carpet Bowlers went here for a Christmas Meal ,the meal was delicious,hot and quickly served,nothing was too much trouble. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good priced Christmas dinner. The tables were also beautifully set.

Just been for dinner with the family and it was excellent good portions really good menu with plenty too pick from service and prices hard too beat will definatley be visiting again and soon.

Been here several times for dinner but never got round to posting a review. Basic menu with daily specials...great portions and superb good value food. We had 4 starters, 4 mains, a bottle of wine and 3 pints all for the fantastic price of £55 plus tip. Good service combined with the above made for a very pleasant meal. Give it a try you won't be disappointed...👍 PS. They steak pie is to die for....

Had dinner here with 4 friends at the weekend whilst I was up visiting from Norwich. It was sad to see so few people in. The service was good, the barmaid was friendly and had a super memory as she remembered all our drinks each round! The 5 meals were superb, beautifully presented. There was a great choice and the prices incredibly good value, I would expect to pay double in Norfolk for my meal. If I lived there I’d be in there several times a week! Well done 👍 highly recommended x

Visited with a group. Lovely view through the big windows over the golf course to the hills. Lovely food, great value, friendly and helpful service. I had 3 courses for £10, including chicken with haggis & whisky sauce, chips and veg. All nicely cooked. Recommend it!
