was welcomed by a woman who showed me a map lots of places to go ect was very friendly and extremely helpful. Firstly we booked on booking. com who took the money then told us there was no spa opened. I immediately contacted them for a refund to book another spa but was told the money would take 5 days to go back into my account meaning I had to stick to this original booking due to funding. Then I was called by the hotel to ask if we wanted a king bed or 2 single, I asked for a king size bed but when we went to bed at night there was a big space in the middle of me and my partner the mattress was 2 singles this is not what I was told I was getting. When we entered the room the mirror was cracked which is definitely not 5stars none of this is. I also went to dry my hair and the hair dryer almost blown up went so red inside. Now when I thought my stay couldn't get any worse I went to iron my top to find out the iron was all dirty ruined a very good top and the one I brought to wear the next day. So I got into a dirty top as I didn't have a spare when I got for breakfast at 9:10ish we had no continental breakfast as most of it had been cleared away including juices ect. When signed ourself out and left but I am extremely disappointed in kinnettles hotel and spa on this experience. I emailed the hotel to complain also but got no reply. AVOID AVOID AVOID Folks

I previously had a negative experience with this pub. But, upon approaching the staff (thank you Joshua) about it, they were utterly respectful in discussion and professional in their responses. They explained the difficult circumstances, and they provided nothing less than exceptional service as a result. Really, when it comes to St Andrews, the only pub to feel at home in.

Normally I would give 5 stars due to the quality of the food and service over the past 3 years but unfortunately recently the service has gone down. Last week the guy ( with a woolly hat) couldn't cut salami ( slivers flying off or big chunks were cut- quite funny really if it wasn't food) and the gorgonzola cutting resulted in an unappetising blob ( in addition, his packing was atrocious) but I had patience and smiled with all of that thinking that he was new ( even if I had to tell him to add stickers to prevent the salami from falling out . However this week the same guy was rude and wanted to serve a man behind me, I objected saying I was in a hurry and only needed bread ( I am a pretty chilled lady usually ) and instead of apologising he said said he couldn't get there at that moment due to his colleague being in the way! Not good! I am not sure if I want to return.......

Went for an early dinner, the pub upstairs was hopping. The restaurant downstairs not so much. We were the only ones there for a lot of the time. The onion soup was tasty, fries good, prawns ok . The chicken wings were seriously over breaded, had a little kick to them. Service was good. Wouldn’t hurry back

In the middle of the charming little streets of St Andrews, I found a hidden gem that made me feel like I was dining in a tucked-away trattoria in Rome: Little Italy. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with that cozy vibe that makes you slow down and enjoy without rushing —and that unmistakable smell of real Italian cooking that grabs you the moment you walk in. I started with the garlic bread, and it was spot on. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, with just the right touch of garlic and olive oil —nothing else needed. For the main course, I went straight for the chicken pesto spaghetti: a simple combo, maybe, but here they absolutely nail it. The pesto was fresh and creamy, with that real basil and pine nut flavor that changes everything. The chicken was tender and perfectly cooked, adding just the right amount of protein without taking over the dish. I left happy, with that feeling of having eaten something made with real care. If you're ever in St Andrews, don't miss it —Little Italy is a true gem.

If only there was six stars, I would give this place that. Service was fantastic And the food was even better. The Steak was cooked perfectly And the nduja Mac & cheese was particularly delectable. Looking forward to my next visit. Keep up the good work
