Shawarma House in Fife

These guys completely messed up what we ordered. I only wanted lettuce chicken and chips, and the guy put everything in it. We also ordered one with extra cheese. We paid for extra cheese. We asked if he put in extra cheese which he replied yes. Was there any cheese…NO!

A dark, lonely, mildly windy night. A mixed shawarma, a tin of Coca Cola original and I. I was in heaven. #midnightsnack

Terrible kebab for the money paid. Almost £10 for a Lamb Shwarma Wrap which didn't even come with any bread for that money. I told them i was going to eat it when i got home so they put it in tiny polystyrene box aling with a small amount of salad and sauce separate. Jist beggars belief they can get such a basic kebab order so wrong and at price paid was a complete rip off. It wasn't even as if it was busy either. Certainly won't be giving them a second chance. Should have known because of gow light the box felt. Worst kebab I've ever had which is saying something. At least the service was ok up until i came to eat the thing. Lamb was also quite fatty and grisly. Avoid IMHO

We were craving some late night shawarma and stopped to get some from here. It’s exactly what we wanted. Filled with meat and toppings, tasty and fresh. You can see the kitchen from the window and the cooks were having a blast doing their job which is always awesome to see. It was so good we went back for seconds! Reccommend to anyone who likes a solid shawarma:) Reasonably priced as well.

Friendly atmosphere and very good shawarma

Anything but fast food. About to place an order when staff disappeared from the counter, out the back, for about 5mins. When they reappeared they still didn’t come to take the order. Eventually ordered. It was quiet with only a handful of customers but it took 30mins to prepare 3 wraps, even though all the ingredients were set out ready to put in the wrap. Not what you expect from a fast food counter. To make matters worse the person in the queue after us was served first with an identical wrap and a table of 4 (the only other customers), were all served their food about 5mins apart from each other rather than altogether. They had been waiting a considerable time too. When the wrap did arrive it was tasty … but cold. Would not recommend.

Best takeaway in St Andrews, high quality meat and great range of veggie/vegan options aswell. Always speedy and friendly service 👍

Just got to try the new "Daddy's special" which was a box of dirty/loaded fries, a definite 10/10 super tasty toppings and the special seasoning is delicious.

Have been dying to try a shwarma at St Andrews for a while. Tried a lamb wrap and waited 20 mins from a seemingly disinterested staff for a virtually inedible tough tasteless offering cut from a revolving lump. Once bitten twice shy I’m afraid.

My first experience of shawarma. Food was absolutely delicious and the weather was perfect for their outdoor eating space! Their chicken shawarma wrap was just delightful with a very pleasant spice. Hopefully we will be able to enjoy again!

Waited for 30 mins for a mixed pakora. Finally got it. Two pieces of chicken and two pieces of vegetable pakora for eight quid. Are you having a laugh? I'm appalled. Very basic food and no sauce to add insult to injury.

Our regular go to place for shawarma. Portion sizes are really good and tastes great. Gets pretty busy so I’d recommend ordering ahead of time. Did forget my drink which is the first time to ever happen which can be forgive especially since verything else made up for it and we will be back again

A shop that serves shawarma and pizza Shawarma differs from the shawarma found in Saudi Arabia in terms of flavor and ingredients, but it is delicious and full of flavours. The pizza is very delicious. The children liked it very much. The shop is small and the parking in front of it is limited. We visited us more than once until we found the staff there to be very friendly and respectful. If we visit St Andrews again, we will definitely repeat the experience

There’s no food hygiene there pass is written with a pen they run on false paperwork The guy who’s doing my shawarma, took 10minutes to run his NEW TATOO with what ever cream he was using then without washing not wearing gloves started touching my food . The best food in St Andrews without a doubt! Everything is so delicious and consistently good. I always get the shawarma (chicken or lamb, both are so good!) and rice box with everything on - the garlic and chilli sauces compliment the meat so well and there's so much fresh veg and salad, it is a tasty and balanced meal. The meat is marinated to perfection and so tender. The staff are friendly, the prices affordable, and they're open pretty much all night.

Haven't had shawarma in 2 years. Just here in St. Andrews Scotland you can taste shawarma that tastes like the middle east.

Great little find of a place. Went here for lunch with my husband, 6 yo and 13 yo. More like a hatch take away / street food with outdoor seating if you want to sit down. Staff were super friendly and obviously proud of their place and what they do. Food was soooo tasty. I had the chicken shawarma wrap and some chips. The wrap was tasty, fresh and just really darn good! Chips were hot and fresh and really crispy - they're often an after thought, I find, but not here. My husband had the mixed shawarma wrap, and he loved it - said it's his new favourite place to come in St Andrews. My 6 yo had the lamb shawarma and rice with salad in a box and loved it - so tasty - the owner (I think it was) even brought over some extra chilli sauce and garlic dipping sauce over for us and she enjoyed dipping her lamb in it. My 13 yo had the mixed chicken/lamb with rice and also loved it - his new favourite and wants to go back today for dinner! 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣 He was so full afterwards. Thank you to the team for a lovely lunch. We'll definitely be back very soon! Would highly recommend.

This place does absolutely amazing Shawarma I would highly recommend the Chicken Shawarma Wrap. It's a small shop front along the street that it's quite easy to pass if you're not paying attention but worth a stop. They even have a small number of outdoor seating at the front which is great to sit at on a nice day. Staff have always been lovely and the food is a highlight for each time I visit St Andrews.

I’ve been going to St Andrews shawarma for years now and get on really well with the boss (he’s a genuinely great guy!!) so I will happily say that I have never had a bad experience during my many visits there!! I last had a mixed shawarma wrap and it was given to me in their new bread which was out of this world!! Absolutely the best takeaway place in St Andrews and my absolute go to place after a hard day at work!!

They do not Ask me what sauces i want. Put straight away the hot sauce in the the wrap. On the menu you do not have the info that the wrap is with hot sauce.

Busy place on a cute little street. We ordered on Deliveroo, arrived around the collection time and we didn’t know if they had started making it or waited until we arrived to start making it. We felt rude interrupting as they seemed busy and they didn’t say “how can we help you” - they just kind of ignored us. The guys were nice enough once we plucked up the courage to harass them. Food was pretty good albeit a bit cold because we took it back to our lodge 10 minutes up the road. You get to pick each filling which is nice as opposed to some places that just offer “salad” and thats it. The sides we got were pretty bog standard - nothing amazing. All in all I’d give it a 4/5, would be a 5/5 if it was hotter but that’s not their fault.

Went for lamb shawarma with everything on and oh what a disappointment! Hardly any meat, very bland tasting and hard wrap meant I’ll not go back. Was even promised my chips to eat while I waited on the shawarma but staff too busy chatting to even manage that. My mate said this was best place in town to go so I’ll be having a serious word with him!!

Cold greasey food , incomplete order, small portion - which had unordered chillis on, no bread wrap as should have, totally mugged off by shop staff when first called to enquire, Ordered delivery at 7pm , to turn up 7:50pm (gave address and postcode mobile number) 6 minutes drive away from shop. Turned up 8:40pm, having gone to wrong address. Then shop don't answer phone when phone to rectify, cold poor food and service. Highly recommend you go somewhere else 🤢🤮

If you love a good kebab this is the place to go. Great food, great staff, great service. I have been going here for years and have never been disappointed (but never got round to writing a review until now). There are also plenty of other choices on the menu if you don't fancy a kebab - my wife was very happy with her chicken burger with a salad trimming today.

Another delicious mixed shwarma from this place, this time with traditional Turkish bread (Pide) instead of the wrap .Partner had Halloumi wrap and loved it too. Staff ate really friendly and helpful . Owner is going to start another favourite of mine which is a sarbeni or (Lamachun), can't wait for my next visit to St Andrews !!

I’ve recently been to St. Andrews Shawarma house. They had a new type of bread that they call German bread and it was delicious. I can only recommend that people who go to get a chicken or lamb shawarma take the new German bread.

Mouthwatering wraps, generous portions, and traditional Turkish bread. Couldn't ask for more! Also, the outdoor seating is perfectly placed to catch the sunlight on a warm day. Highly recommend

I never leave bad reviews, however my boyfriend is now puking rings round himself after taking a bite of the pakora which was still frozen. As far as I’m aware you don’t cook frozen chicken? And the food should be probed before selling it to unwitting members of the public? Breakfast at the Fairmont has been somewhat spoiled.
