Terrible mixed kebab wrap, meat wasnt fresh or crispy, taste would be wouldn't even be acceptable if was highly drunk, which I wasn't. Was Rancid, DO NOT GET YOUR KEBAB FROM HERE...LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING! Either try the empire or boss kebabs...please do not go to this S### hole as my 4 year old son can make a better, fresher tasting KEBAB than this overpriced DIVE......Please don't waste your money here, you won't be happy 😡 This place only makes money because of the student business that's constantly rotating, please don't jump on there poorly OVERPRICED bandwagon.....WORST KEBAB IN ST ANDREWS! BUT BECAUSE OF THERE LOCATION THERE PERCEIVED AS THE BEST.... PLEASE TRY EMPIRE OR THE BOSS PLACE BEOFRE THIS RAT WRAP . ST A SHWARMA HOUSE, SORT IT OUT NOW! WE WANT FRESH FOOD!!! Went for lamb shawarma with everything on and oh what a disappointment! Hardly any meat, very bland tasting and hard wrap meant I’ll not go back. Was even promised my chips to eat while I waited on the shawarma but staff too busy chatting to even manage that. My mate said this was best place in town to go so I’ll be having a serious word with him!!

If you love a good kebab this is the place to go. Great food, great staff, great service. I have been going here for years and have never been disappointed (but never got round to writing a review until now). There are also plenty of other choices on the menu if you don't fancy a kebab - my wife was very happy with her chicken burger with a salad trimming today.

Another delicious mixed shwarma from this place, this time with traditional Turkish bread (Pide) instead of the wrap .Partner had Halloumi wrap and loved it too. Staff ate really friendly and helpful . Owner is going to start another favourite of mine which is a sarbeni or (Lamachun), can't wait for my next visit to St Andrews !!

Mouthwatering wraps, generous portions, and traditional Turkish bread. Couldn't ask for more! Also, the outdoor seating is perfectly placed to catch the sunlight on a warm day. Highly recommend

I’ve recently been to St. Andrews Shawarma house. They had a new type of bread that they call German bread and it was delicious. I can only recommend that people who go to get a chicken or lamb shawarma take the new German bread.

I never leave bad reviews, however my boyfriend is now puking rings round himself after taking a bite of the pakora which was still frozen. As far as I’m aware you don’t cook frozen chicken? And the food should be probed before selling it to unwitting members of the public? Breakfast at the Fairmont has been somewhat spoiled.

I passed by Shawarma house by chance and I was pleasantly surprised! The prices were very affordable and the quantities generous. Plus the sauces were free. I highly recommend.

Last year on St Patrick’s day I was kicked out of a competing shwarma establishment for saying that The Shwarma House made better wraps. That statement continues to be true. Shwarma house has the freshest wraps, the best staff and the most cultured clientele. If you think otherwise you’re lying to yourself.

I used to frequent malmaris for their munchy box and particularly the chicken shawarma. I would say the chicken isn't quite as good as it used to be, but is still really good.... the lamb shawarma, however, blows every other place's doner out of the water. Friendly service, great food, definitely worth checking out

Loved our visit for shawarma, falafel, and hummus. The garlic sauce was amazingly fresh and a highlight. The food was delicious.

My friend James Thompson recommended this place. We are not friends anymore. I didn’t know it was possible to catch a seagull then pick the feathers off and put it on a rotisserie but somehow these guys managed it. Its the most gristly, greasy, overpriced abortion of a “gourmet kebab” i have ever suffered in my life. I got the seagull and Cat meat special with everything on it and it looked like something your dog would spew up after scranning the contents of a green wheelie bin. Awful and straight in the bin. How the hell can they charge these prices and get high reviews. Away to hospital tomorrow for a tetanus jag after a mouthful of that. AVOID!

The meat was just fat, grisly and to top it off, lukewarm. The salad was good. Very over priced for what is just a whole filler at the end of a drunken night out. Will not be back.

Chicken Shawarma wrap with “everything” is my favourite! They asked if I would like it with Turkish bread instead of a regular wrap. I said yes, and it will be Turkish bread from now on! Absolutely delicious!

Recently visited a shawarma shop and had an amazing experience! The place is fantastic, with a friendly owner who made us feel welcome. The food was top-notch, and what's even better is that it comes at an affordable price. Definitely a must-try spot!

Went here yesterday with my friend. She has never been before. She said it was the best lamb wrap she has ever had. As a regular user the service and quality of thoes delicious wraps is the best, filled with fresh salad and a veriety of sauces. They are now using a new bread, this was beautifully toasted and extremely tasty. We will both be back. Loved it!

My first visit here with my son, we had a traditional shawarma wrap, the food was excellent, we will definitely return on our next visit to St Andrews. There was a fairly large queue for a Tuesday afternoon which tells a story.

I highly recommend The Shawarma House as their Shawarmas are absolutely delicious and consisently of fantastic quality 😙👌 As a St. Andrews Taxis driver, I have come to rely on their delicious Shawarmas to get me through the cold Scottish winter days on the job as they are both fiery and filling! I recommend the Mixed Shawarma with their traditional Pita bread and throw in some Jalapeños for good measure... they're masterworks all, you can't go wrong!! 👍👍👍👍

Spent over £30 on food. Collected my order and half of it was missing. Went back for the rest of my order and asked them to keep that food warm while they cooked the rest of it. The food they kept heated arrived home covered in grease, tiny portions and rock solid. Had to return again with the tiny £10 grease covered wrap because it was absolutely inedible and they remade it. Overall, very disappointed with the service (had to return twice to get my order right) and still hungry from the tiny portions! Won’t be back and cannot recommend

I've been home stateside from St Andrews after a semester abroad for four months and I can't stop craving this place. They say that the star represents loyalty, as even when it's cloudy they're always there. Even when it's after midnight, Shawarma house was there. Tough exam? Shawarma house was there. Cold day on the links? Shawarma house was there. Beautiful place, phenomenal wrap. Miss it every day.

I've never been as disappointed by a takeaway as by this place today. The portions were tiny and expensive, £10.99 for a shawarma and chips that was served in a small box with such a small amount of chips you could count them on one hand. The chicken shawarma was hardly visible and didn't even form one layer in the small box, it was mainly salad. I feel ripped off, never had such a bad experience before from anywhere before. I won't be ordering again.

Me and my friends went to this place for something to eat while we were out for the day , the customer service was terrible was all attitude while we were all ordering , they also forgot to put sauce on our food and when we went back he said it would cost us extra to put sauce on top , also the owner got into my face and was shouting at me and as a young girl I was terrified , also there personal hygiene is very bad with staff with long dirty nails and wearing no hygiene gloves to prepare our food ,I would never eat there again or recommend to anybody…..

By far, the one of the best option in St Andrews, but still lacking. Food- was good, but lacked flavor and freshness. The “chili sauce” was not spicy at all. Service- the man at the desk might’ve been having a bad day, I don’t blame him Atmosphere- very quaint and cute!

St. Andrews Shawarma house is the best in town! There is another Shawarma place, but it does not compare in food quality and taste. They also make it the way that you want it with no fuss and a smile. They always want you to be happy. This is the best take away place in town!!!!

I gave this restaurant a five-star review two months ago, but both experiences have been poor. Although the food was delicious as usual, the new Bulgarian waiter refused to give me a tote bag and imitated my English accent. The boss is a nice person, but he should come to the store frequently to supervise the employees to prevent more customers from being teased (or even discriminated against) by this waiter.

If you have been to Turkey, then you should know what real shawarma tastes like. This establishment has carried over the recipe and tradition of true shawarma, you won't find it anywhere else in Scotland! very tasty, juicy, roasted fresh meat and properly prepared garlic sauce makes it amazing. Very polite service who after a little conversation gave us 2 drinks for free! I advise everyone!

After one bite of chicken shawarma here your mind and mouth blows, you start to understand Turkish and fall in love with their cuisine.

First visit and disappointment. I chose the Mixed Box Chicken and Lamb, Fries. Portion of meat very small, stringy mutton and tasteless chicken. The plus side was the fresh fries and salads.

As lamb lovers go we had to stop for an eat and it was a treat. The lamb wraps were absolutely awesome, taste and size of wrap perfect for a hungry human. Chips on the side cooked to perfection. Well done keep the good food flowing.

Great taste, filling portions and fun guys to order from. If you want to try something different in the area this would be a great choice. The lamb meat comes with mini fat pieces in it. We got everything on it including the spicy source which can be spicy for some people if they are not used to spicy food. Also they are open very late 😜

Falafel wrap was a great vegetarian option. Rather than a vege burger, this wrap packs favor with red cabbage and jalapeños. Reminded me f home.

I had a shawarma wrap. It was delicious. The issue is you can only order, and eat elsewhere. There is space outside, which the owners should have used for tables and chairs for customers. My family really enjoyed their food.
