had a chippy delivery on Saturday night , fish with crispy batter and a delicious white pudding. piping hot. fast delivery too. will definitely be back. thanks to all the staff !!! The Camerons .

Used the fish house a fair bit & until tonight its been decent. £9.60 for one & a half pieces of haddock .....very poor

Unknown to us, the Fish House must have been sold (it was an excellent fish & chip shop), sadly it wasn't to be the evening we came.

Really disappointed with the fish suppers. Fish portions were small, one plus a scrap, greasy and more batter than fish. Wont be back!

Terrible, chips were disgusting. Used to sell lovely homemade battered chicken fillets here now just frozen breaded chicken. Won’t be back. Tasted horrible. Haggis supper very small also

This was a lovely chip shop and my local. I was very disappointed in both service and the quality of food. The service was a little awkward as staff did not appear to communicate with each other., and there did not appear to be enough staff on duty. The food was not to the high standard as previously experienced. I had not realised this had be taken over. Sadly I do not intend to return.

Fantastic fish & chips in a diner style. Crispiest, lightest, tastiest batter any where. Fish, fish, fish.

An absolute disgrace! The reviews from 2017 were excellent… and deservedly so. Living locally, you would see long queues waiting outside. I hadn’t been in for the last couple of years following two disappointments, but last week I decided to give it another try. What a mistake! The place was empty, yet I waited twenty minutes for one order. It was absolutely dire! Two tiny bits of the thinnest ‘haddock’ I’ve ever seen… so shrivelled up and lying in a pool of oil which totally covered the bottom of the box and actually dripped off the fish when I lifted it out. Needless to say, it went straight into the bin. I wish I’d read the recent reviews before I went! Never again!

Absolutely shocking . We placed a large order totaling over £60 takeaway . Most of the food went in the bin .. The fish was the thinnest we have seen in our life . Not only that most of the pieces were curled up . Looked as bad as it tasted . As one of the family is a chef and another one from Anstruther they know what a fish supper is . First time and most certainly the last . The only good thing I could say is the chips and mushy peas were nice But really serving fish of this quality and how it was prepared and cooked is not acceptable . Especially at the price to . A white pudding, king rib and onion rings…. White pudding was not bad to be fair. King rib was like half a regular one, small handful of chips (hardly covered the bottom of the box) and the meat in the rib was pretty poor . Onion rings were half cooked and the batter was soft and greasy. I won’t be back

This fish was brown like the £10 note colour. Went in to advise the owner of this. His attitude was aggressive and arrogant.

Fantastic fish and chips with the crispiest batter and chips I have ever tasted!! 10 out of 10! The only slight disappointment is as we couldn’t sit in as the tables are only available on certain nights… so we ate in our car!

Staying in an airbnb in a small town with no takeaways and no shops selling reasonable microwave meals for me to use my only cooking equipment...and I didn't want to eat out. Searched on-line and The Fish Hoose appeared only a 15' drive and good reviews. Ordered over the phone (they recommend you use on-line from the excellent website but I needed to know they were definitely open on a Sunday evening...) and the owners were really helpful.
