We haven’t been to the Palace for a meal for nearly a year and decided to go this evening. We had the front room to ourselves. The lady that served us was really nice and helpful. Food was lovely. All of us thoroughly enjoyed it and was worth every penny. Fully COVID compliant!

Food was so disappointing, we waited an hour for the starters, lettuce on the Asian salad was brown and wilting. On the mains chicken supreme ok but others gelatinous sauces.. so poor considering time we waited and hefty prices. No atmosphere-bright and bare. Reminiscent of Scotland in 1980s.

Lovely coffee and veggie sandwich with really nice staff. such a lovely little comfy place to chill yourself or with friends

Very disappointed. We took the trouble of writing privately to avoid a public review but did not get the courtesy of a reply. Totally inflexible menu choice: we must all be pre-theatre or all a la carte. One person’s needs could only be met with an a la carte dish – so the three of us eating the pre-theatre menu were charged an extra £70 to make us all a la carte. Also, the main courses arrived while we were still at our starters. We said we were not ready and were firmly told it comes ready or not. We protested and were told, ‘If I take it back it will just sit there getting cold anyway’. I don’t think we have encountered that before in a quality restaurant.

Loved this experience. The food was really great and we really appreciated the staff and the conversations we had with them. 10/10 would recommend.

Such an absolute gem of a find for us. Staff are so friendly and accommodating. Food is absolutely beautiful. Food presentation beyond fault. Spotlessly clean. Warm and cosy, with a beautiful calm, relaxing and welcoming ambience. I have Agoraphobia, and food issues due to an eating disorder, and the staff took such great care of me.

Well I guess I went in there to get a coffee and a sandwich and then went back for lunch it was average I was in the cafe 1st time on my own and then I went with a friend

We went to the café twice as on arrival we were ready for a cuppa and enjoyed lovely brownie, blondie and coconut slice. At lunch we enjoyed Lorne sausage sandwiches and salmon panini. The coffee and tea were very good quality too and the prices were very reasonable..

Used to be really good, now it has a new owner and no drinks license. Didn't eat there because of this. Went to another restaurant instead

Attended here myself to try their pizza. The owner/manager could not have been any ruder than he was! Think his name is Gordon… Pizza base was rock hard and I think the toppings had been seen in those containers for weeks! AVOID
