We recently used The Cottage's catering service for a house party for my wife's birthday. The large trays of food cover 10-12 people. We had chicken curry, chilli, mac n' cheese, and cajun chicken pasta - and rice and chips. The food arrived hot and at the agreed time. Every single one of the dishes was excellent - everyone loved it and went back for seconds. Everyone also commented on how good it was - and i know they weren't just being polite - they genuinely did enjoy the food and wanted to know where we got it from. We managed the order and payment over the phone and the service was friendly and efficient. When i broke the overall price down to headcount and per portion it was also quite reasonable. I would highly recommend The Cottage and their catering service. Loved it. Thanks team.

Honestly it's a great wee place, I'm obsessed with their Mango slushies and I can't stop going back, the cakes are home made and my parents love them, and the food is amazing 😍 if you live locally you need to try it, otherwise you're missing out.

Can be a great place for food as i use it every weekend. But I ordered a breakfast and iced frappe for delivery this week (just out of hospital after an op) and it came to £16 for a breakfast and a milkshake. The brekfast came practically cold and the frappe was melted to basically a milkshake. I know that these things happen but i live literally a 3 min walk away on the same street and they took £4 for delivery and nearly 2 hours to deliver it. Poor service!

Will return again soon

Food was lovely, then a gentleman enters to sit with presumably his son, some 3 footsteps from the door and is interrogated about wearing a mask by one staff member in his face and another shouting from the kitchen. Excruciating. A quiet, 'hi sir, are you exempt from wearing a mask?' would have been appropriate instead of causing the old boy to have a red face in front of many customers. The food is lovely but the service has steadily declined, with an attitude of inconvenience about having to serve people, in particular from the female server of short stature. So glad was only in to spend a Christmas present voucher, we will never return to the cottage get out of the service industry if you can't handle the constant inconvenience of customers.

Order from here quite a bit and it’s usually exceptional, don’t mind paying a bit extra for decent food Had some family up last night so ordered quite late , food was diabolical but have to give a poor review considering am fizzing about spending nearly £40 pounds for what was delivered. Worst of all was the enchilada, it was a chicken wrap made to look like an enchilada, 100% different from any enchilada I’ve ordered from here or anywhere else Steak sandwich, poor just threw out the door, never been as poor out the cottage. Even the burger I ordered for bland as anything chips white and under cooked. No salad with either meal and no meal got finished One bad experience for that price will see me going elsewhere

Called in for breakfast after our weekly shop. We were really impressed with the COVID procedures in place and felt safe. The service was prompt, friendly and efficient. The menu was quite varied. My husband chose the chicken burger with chips and I opted for the vegan breakfast. Despite the bistro being quite busy (allowing for social distancing) our meals were served quite quickly and were delicious. It’s been a few years since we visited The Cottage but we will certainly be back soon.

This place is a wee hidden gem and really shouldn't be missed. The staff are just lovely and the food is to die for. Nice cosy and very friendly atmosphere. The sisters who own this place put their heart and soul into making it a lovely experience and pleasure to visit. Wether your looking for tea & cake, a snack, or a full meal they cater for it all and there's even a wee alcoholic beverage if your lucky enough not to be driving. Highly recommended and I will definitely be a regular here.

Have been here several times in recent months, I have been for breakfast and lunch. Both were lovely, yummy food and friendly welcoming staff. The staff appear to know every local person that comes into the restaurant lots of chat and regulars coming and going constantly. You can have a full meal or pop in for a wee snack, nice wooden benches outside for dry days. The restaurant was spotless, you can see right into the kitchen area and the restrooms were also immaculate. Great find will definitely be back regularly.

Small family run business, with a good wide ranging menu.Spotless throughout and staff are very attentive. They have about 40 seats indoors plus some outside for those (fool) hardy enough to sit out in Greenock in the Autumn. It was busy at lunchtime and no wonder, the food is good. We had homemade soup and sandwiches and hot filled rolls, and were tempted by the yummy cakes and scones.Only downside is, that it is a bit out the road beside Pottery Street, so you must make a concious effort to get there.

Called in for breakfast before our drive back up to Aberdeen. Husband had juice and a bacon roll, I had scrambled egg, bacon and black pudding with toast and coffee. Coffee first was proper strong just the way i like it, fat cut off bacon which was great, black pudding really crispy outside soft in the middle and scrambled egg did not need seasoning. My husbands only small complaint was roll could have been lightly warmed, but all in all really tasty and set us up for our long drive. Will definitely visit again when we are back visiting the neighbourhood.

The cafe is quite small but well laid out. The staff are lovely and it's nice decorated and warm. I struggled with the rating as I went here for lunch but was quite disappointed. It is reasonably priced but the quality was not great. I would give it a 2 for a lunch or snack. The cakes and scones however are a different story. They are fantastic and a great price. I will definitely be back but for a tea and scone rather than a burger or sandwich.

We went here a few weeks ago upon request from my mother-in-law for a birthday lunch. Its nestled in amongst car garages and offices but what an absolute gem of a place. There were 6 of us, and we had a proper feed, I had the haggis burger, and the kids had sandwiches, and my mother in law fish and chips. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the service very prompt and very friendly. They have an excellent wee menu, and the place was very busy for sit in and takeway.A couple of (delicious) cakes and scones later, we had a bill for £33, which for the quality, volume, and standard of food, and service was exceptional. This place is an absolute must! I've only rated the value, food and service at 5/5 because 6/5 wasnt an option

Went for afternoon tea. Food had been made previous and stored in a fridge. Sandwiches had barely any filling and a tiny bit of ham and a bit of a cheese slice! Cake was hard. Cheese cake without the biscuit. Scones had been microwaved. Clotted cream was not clotted cream. Coffee was instant and was awful. I would not recommend. Only good part was the prosecco.
